Marc Baylis feels more attractive following Coronation Street murder

Marc Baylis feels more attractive since his 'Coronation Street' character Rob Donovan murdered Tina McIntyre on the ITV soap.
The 37-year-old actor insists he has had more attention from female viewers since his character killed Tina (played by Michelle Keegan) on the series in May and was even forced to defend himself after one eager fan grabbed his bottom.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I was doing a personal appearance at a hotel room of 500 women. All of a sudden two hands grabbed a buttock each! I said, 'Are you having a laugh? Surely that's illegal to just grope me!'
"It was a middle-aged lady and she said, 'Oh, I enjoyed that'.
"It's quite perverse but people have started to find Rob a bit more attractive, which worries me!"
Marc admitted he was shocked by the response to Rob's dark side after he pushed the pretty brunette over a balcony and beat her with a metal pipe as he initially expected a bad reaction from viewers.
He explained: "That's what I'd psyched myself up for and prepared for, but it's been the polar opposite."
The hunky actor has done his best to keep Rob from being perceived as a vicious killer by showing a more "human" side to his character, allowing the audience to sympathise him.
He said: "I've tried to keep it as human as possible, so Rob hasn't become the plotting villain, and people have related to it.
"It could happen to anyone in that moment of anger, so people sympathise with him."

Phillip Schofield to broadcast for 24 hours

Phillip Schofield is to broadcast for 24 hours non-stop to raise money for charity.
The TV presenter will host a number of shows starting with 'The Morning' on December 1 and then doing a full day of hosting, minus toilet breaks, to generate cash for ITV's annual charity appeal Text Santa - and he is said to be "raring to go" for the challenge.
An ITV insider told The Sun newspaper: "The details are still being worked out but Phillip will be on screen live for 24 hours non-stop -- minus toilet breaks.
"He's not quite sure how he's going to physically manage it yet but it's all for a good cause and he's raring to go."
This comes after Chris Moyles and his former Radio 1 team raised more than £2 million for Comic Relief when they hosted a show for 52-hours.
After reaching their 50-hour target in March 2011, Chris said: "We're going to carry on for another two hours. Why? I have no idea."
Several TV presenters have also endured marathon stints in front of the camera, such as David Dimbleby, who put in an 18-hour shift during the May 2010 general election while presenting BBC One's coverage of the event.
Kay Burley put in a 13-and-a-half hour presenting shift while Duchess Catherine was giving birth to Prince George last July.
She was said to have spent a huge 36 hours filling live TV while standing outside St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London, waiting to report on the royal baby news.

Lindsay Booth would have quit The Apprentice if she hadn’t been fired

Lindsay Booth would have resigned from 'The Apprentice' if Lord Sugar hadn't fired her.
The 29-year-old swimming academy owner has admitted that she was "out of her depth" on the BBC One show and was actually relieved when the businessman asked her to leave the program last night (22.10.14).
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Lindsay explained: "If I hadn't been fired and I think Lord Sugar knows that. I would have resigned it's just that he got there before me, which I'm pleased about. I'm glad I was fired. I didn't want to take the back door route and resign.
"It was a huge relief. I think that if I was allowed I would have skipped out of the boardroom. I think [Lord Sugar] would have been shocked! But I think he knew I was secretly relieved."
Lindsay revealed that she had applied to the show with no prior experience in sales but is glad she went over another candidate.
She said: "Funnily enough when I applied I thought I would be quite good at it. Clearly not! I didn't feel in that moment that I deserved to stay over any of my other candidates."
Following Lindsay's elimination, Lord Sugar then fired Nurun Ahmed after Roisin Hogan brought Nurun and James Hill back to the boardroom for a grilling.
Despite admitting that she was "relieved" to be leaving the show the fashion retailer added that the blame for the failure of the task lays "absolutely" with the project manager Roisin.

Simon Cowell called Mel B ‘average’

Simon Cowell told Mel B she was "average" looking.
The former Spice Girls singer - who has shown off a new shorter hair cut and stylish dresses in her new role as an 'X Factor' judge - was left speechless ahead of the first live show when her fellow judge paid her a backhanded compliment about her new look.
In an interview with Grazia magazine she recalled: "Me and Simon were behind the screen waiting to go on and he turns to me and goes, 'I have to tell you darling, you look cute now.' I went, 'Well what was I before?' and he says, 'Average'. I couldn't say anything back because the doors were opening."
Mel credits her improved image to her new stylist and admits he has done "wonders" with her look.
She said: "I've been working with a stylist who's a good friend of mine, Jason Bolde. He told me, 'I'm only going to work with you if you listen to me and let me make changes.'
"He wanted to give me a sleeker, more chic look, and so far he's done wonders. Because it's the UK 'X Factor' I told him I wanna wear UK designers."

Wendi Peters worries people will be ‘disappointed’ by Coronation Street return

Wendi Peters is worried people will be "disappointed" with Cilla Battersby-Brown's new personality.
The 46-year-old actress will return to 'Coronation Street' tonight (22.10.14) after leaving the ITV show in 2007, but has admitted that reviving her character Cilla was a nerve-wrecking experience.
Talking on 'This Morning' to Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden earlier today, she said: "I hope people aren't disappointed that she hasn't come back with the brashness and comedy.
"There are still bits of comedy in there, there are some lovely fantastic scenes that are comedy but it's just her with a little bit of heart hopefully and a bit more down to earth."
Wendi also confessed that she was a bit scared about returning to the show after such a long break and even revealed that she didn't agree to job offer straight away.
She said: "It was like my first day of school. It was so scary because not only were there lots of different people there - and obviously seven years on we don't know what's happened to her - but also it's a different building. It was weird.
"It took me a while, discussing it with various people and thinking, do I want to re-visit? Should I just to put her to bed? I've moved on, I'm doing lots of other things and then it all sort of fell into place."

Mel Giedroyc to host Relatively Clever

Mel Giedroyc will host 'Relatively Clever'.
The 'Great British Bake Off' presenter will star on the new Sky1 quiz show which "pits families against each other" and puts their general knowledge to the test.
The seven-part series is set to air in 2015 during the channel's 8pm slot and the 46-year-old presenter confessed she is looking forward to seeing the families battle it out for the show trophy.
According to Digital Spy, she said: "I'm very excited to be working on new Sky1 quiz show 'Relatively Clever'.
"Everyone loves a quiz and it'll be great to see the families working together, putting their general knowledge and unashamed shrewdness to the test as they battle it out for the 'Relatively Clever' trophy."
Sky1's channel director Adam MacDonald added that he is "delighted" with the team-up.
He said: "We're delighted that Mel is joining the channel as the face of 'Relatively Clever'.
"It's an intelligent, entertaining quiz - and a family affair, with plenty of opportunity for Sky1 customers to play along at home."
Mel has become a regular face on primetime TV since she and her comedy partner - fellow 'Bake Off' host Sue Perkins - established themselves as the comedy duo Mel and Sue in the 1990s.
Mel has also presented her own solo shows including the Channel 4 show 'Draw it!' earlier this year.

Lynda Bellingham’s Christmas plans left unfulfilled

Lynda Bellingham had been planning a family Christmas before her death.
The beloved actress and television presenter was excitedly planning her final Christmas with her two sons and her husband Michael Pattemore before she sadly passed away in hospital on Sunday (19.10.14) after battling colorectal cancer for 15 months.
In an emotional interview with 'Loose Women' - which was filmed last week - Lynda revealed that she was looking forward to having a real Christmas tree.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she told Janet Street-Porter and Coleen Nolan: "Michael spent years trying to put me off a real tree and we're very lucky as we live in a converted psychiatric hospital which has got a really tall ceiling. All I've ever wanted is a real tree.
"Hey, I'm getting one, I'm getting a real tree. He'll just have to struggle out of the window with it afterwards, that's fine!"
Speaking about her plans for her final Christmas meal, Lynda explained that she had booked a hotel and had even purchased several presents in advance.
She said: "We're going to go to the hotel and have the meal but - just my little bit of control - we're going home for pudding and presents ... it's exciting!"
"My only problem is getting the presents - my sister Jean has been absolutely amazing and I keep sending him [Michael] out for bizarre things."
Just days after recording the interview, Lynda passed away, aged 66, meaning that her wish for one last Christmas was left unfulfilled.
However, she told Coleen that she just wanted to be remembered as an "honest person".
She said: "Just as an honest person ... trust is a huge thing. Not just as an actor, not just as a lover, not just as a wife, that trust thing. Just to say, 'you could trust her'."

The Only Way Is Essex stars for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Four stars of 'The Only Way Is Essex' are fighting for a place in the 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' jungle.
Gemma Collins, Jessica Wright, Ferne McCann and Chloe Sims are said to be desperate to follow in the footsteps of their former co-stars Joey Essex and Mark Wright - who both secured their own spin-off shows after taking part in the ITV reality series.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's becoming really competitive between the TOWIE girls. They all really want to do it and are busy working away at their bikini bodies.
"Plus they're excited about the prospect of getting their own show - like Mark and Joey."
Filming in the Australian jungle is set to kick off next month, when the current series of TOWIE will have come to an end, meaning all four beauties will be available to give living in the wild without any fake tan or hair extensions a shot.
Mark's sister Jess - who is dating co-star Ricky Rayment - revealed earlier this year that she was more than up for the challenge of eating creepy crawlies and performing death-defying stunts.
She said at the time: "About a year ago, I couldn't have done the jungle because I suffered from anxiety and I would have been a nervous wreck. But since then I've become such a different person and really strong, so I'd absolutely embrace the jungle and would love it."
