Jamie Dornan: The Fall scarred me for life

Jamie Dornan is "scarred" for life after playing a serial killer in 'The Fall'.
The 32-year-old stars as sexually-motivated murderer Paul Spector in the BBC Two thriller-drama series and has confessed the brutal acts his character commits have left him scarred.
Quizzed about the impact the role has had on him, he said: "There are maybe not a lot of positives. You can't fail to be left slightly scarred by inhabiting someone like that for two seasons.
"I do carry elements of him in a worrying way. I find him relatable and understand why he is how he is.
"There are times towards the end of filming series one and series two where I did scare myself that some of Jamie's reactions were like Paul's.
"You do carry some of that anger and hatred in you a little bit, especially towards the end of filming."
Jamie stars alongside 'The X-Files' actress Gillian Anderson, who takes on the role of detective Stella Gibson - who's tasked with hunting down Spector - in 'The Fall', and she's revealed she's keen for the show to return for a third series.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said of her character: "Who she is and everything she stands for I find very compelling on the page."

Sarah-Jane Crawford backing Caroline Flack to win Strictly

Sarah-Jane Crawford is backing Caroline Flack to win this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Xtra Factor' presenter believes her friend will be able to master the ballroom skills required to win the Glitterball Trophy and she is so confident in Caroline's chances she is going to bet on her being victorious on the BBC show.
Speaking at the MOBO nominations event in London on Tuesday (23.09.14), she told BANG Showbiz: "I think Caroline's set to win. I'm going to put money on it. She can dance, I know because she used to do the little choreographed bits on 'The Xtra Factor' with Olly Murs, so I know she's got skills."
Sarah-Jane - who took over hosting 'The Xtra Factor' from her pal - landed herself in hot water with the BBC earlier this year when she revealed on Twitter Caroline was competing on 'Strictly...' before it had been officially announced.
However, the presenter-and-DJ - who will be hosting this year's MOBO Awards supported by HTC One on October 22 - insists Caroline wasn't angry about her social media mishap.
When asked if she got in trouble with her pal about the tweet, Sarah-Jane said: "I've got to say that Caroline didn't tell me that she was on 'Strictly...', I was overseas doing Judges Houses (for 'X Factor'), I was at Louis Walsh's house, and I was Googling away and it said her name and I'd already heard a whisper in the industry, but when I read it online I just thought it was out and when you're abroad you don't have a concept of what's out and what's not ... Anyway me and her were having a chat when I was back - I've known her for years - and she was like, 'Come up Saturday, let's go for a drink,' so you know when you've had a chat with someone everyone then tweets about it, so I tweeted, 'Good luck twinkletoes.' And she messaged me saying, 'Lol it's not out yet,' I was like, 'S**t, she didn't tell me!'
"I just thought it was bizarre reading the stories saying the 'BBC are furious' because she's not going to say she didn't even tell me, I just thought I knew. It was all fine!"

Kiefer Sutherland misses Jack Bauer

Kiefer Sutherland is "missing" Jack Bauer.
The 47-year-old actor - who reprised his role as the counter-terrorism agent for 12-part special '24: Live Another Day' earlier this year - had previously claimed he wouldn't be returning to the action series, but misses his alter ego so much, he is desperate to "tell more stories".
He said: "I'm missing Jack already. I can never say never.
"My biggest fear about Jack was, 'Can we produce the standard the fans have been sued to?' I still feel there are more stories to tell."
And if '24' does return again, Kiefer would love to film in Scotland, where his grandfather was born.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "If the story was right I couldn't say no to making 24 in Scotland.
"I have strong Scottish roots so I can't deny that it would be special for me.
"I have Scottish ancestry on both my grandparents' sides so I do feel a connection to the country.
"It has a great medieval feel to it with the castles and all the old architecture. I think that could make for a really dark setting."
However, the 'Pompeii' star insists he wouldn't expect his character to don traditional Scottish attire.
He added: "I have worn a kilt before but even though Jack is all man, I really don't see him ever wearing one."

Stan Carter to get battle-axe wife

Stan Carter is to get a battle-axe wife in 'EastEnders'.
The Carter family's eldest member, played by actor Timothy West, is to get a rude awakening when his estranged wife Sylvie Carter (Linda Marlowe) arrives on Albert Square later this week.
Sylvie - who is mother to Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and sister to Aunt Babe (Annette Badland) - is known to viewers to have abandoned her family but will be forced to return to ask for help.
A source from the BBC One soap told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Although she's manipulative and used to getting her own way, Sylvie is forced to seek help from the family she abandoned years ago.
"However, the Walford welcome will be anything but warm."
Marlowe is best known for her television and film roles in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy', 'The House of Mirth' and 'Love Hurts'.
She said of joining the London-based soap: "I'm totally thrilled to be joining the cast of 'EastEnders' and playing such a wonderful character."
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins added: "Watching Linda Marlowe, Annette Badland, Ann Mitchell (Cora Cross) and Timothy West going for it on screen is going to be electric."
Sylvie's arrival in Walford is also likely to spark revelations that Shirley is in fact Mick Carter's (Danny Dyer) mother and not his sister, as he currently believes.

Miranda Hart wants Sarah Hadland for Call the Midwife cameo

Miranda Hart wants her 'Miranda' co-star Sarah Hadland to guest star as a baby in 'Call the Midwife'.
The 41-year-old comedienne, who stars as Chummy Browne in the BBC period drama, has asked her close pal and 'Miranda' co-star to make a cameo appearance in the next series.
However, Sarah insists she'll only go ahead with it if Miranda appears in her comedy 'The Job Lot' as a jobseeker.
She explained: "She [Miranda] always said I should be a baby in 'Call the Midwife' - where they look into a pram and I am sitting there.
"And I said she should be a jobseeker - non-speaking, I made that clear. She can just be on the phone. It will happen, we will both cross over."
Sarah, 43, also revealed she's looking forward to reuniting with Miranda when she reprises her role as Miranda's best pal Steve in the upcoming Christmas special episodes.
She told The Sun newspaper: "We are filming two Christmas specials for Miranda in November. That's exciting because we haven't shot anything for about two years."
Meanwhile, 'The Job Lot' has switched from ITV1 to ITV2 for the upcoming second series, allowing for much raunchier scenes including one in which a lap dance takes place in the job centre.

Oliver Cheshire downplays Strictly Come Dancing curse

Pixie Lott's boyfriend isn't worried about the 'Strictly Come Dancing' "curse".
The 23-year-old singer is currently taking part in the BBC One celebrity dance contest - which has spawned numerous romances between people who were in relationships during their time on the show - but male model Oliver Cheshire insists he doesn't feel threatened by his girlfriend's partner, Trent Whiddon.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I've heard about the curse, but I'm alright. I'm not really worried."
Oliver also described his girlfriend's dance partner as "a really nice bloke".
The couple - who have been dating for four years - recently joined Trent and his dancer wife Gordana Grandosek on a double date.
They were all seen at Prince Harry's WellChild Awards in London on Monday (22.09.14).
Talk of a "Strictly curse" has increased in recent weeks after it emerged 'Countdown' beauty Rachel Riley - who split from her husband during last year's series - had begun dating her dance partner Pasha Kovalev.
Rumours of a romance between Ben Cohen and his 2013 partner Kristina Rihanoff was also rife last week after he announced he'd split from wife Abby.
'Good Morning Britain' presenter Susanna Reid also split from husband Dominic Cotton during her stint on the show.

Michael Le Vell lands 12-month ‘Coronation Street’ contract

'Coronation Street' bosses have reportedly given Michael Le Vell a new 12-month contract.
The 49-year-old actor has secured a deal, believed to worth £250,000, to play mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV soap until November 2015 following a year of legal issues and battling to beat his addiction to booze.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Michael is over the moon and can now concentrate on getting his career back on track. He really feels now that he has beaten the booze and all his problems are in the past ...
"Like many of the stars, Michael is on a rolling 12-month deal, which means his future in the show is only guaranteed for a year at a time."
Michael, who has played Kevin for three decades, was written out of the soap last year as he awaited trial for child abuse allegations, but he returned earlier this year after being cleared of all charges in September.
However, his comeback was short-lived as Michael took another break from the show in March in order to seek treatment in rehab for drugs and alcohol abuse after he hit the bottle and turned to cocaine to help him deal with the long and emotional trial last year.
Michael now claims he's been teetotal for six months and is ready to throw himself back into filming.

Allen Leech: Fan sent me Christmas socks

'Downton Abbey' star Allen Leech was once sent a pair of Christmas socks by a fan.
The 33-year-old actor - who plays the role of Tom Branson in the ITV period drama - has revealed he often gets bizarre presents from fans of the show.
Quizzed on who out of the cast receives the most fan mail, he told Now magazine: "We never discuss it. I got sent some Rudolph socks last Christmas and a marriage proposal on Twitter this morning. I said I'd think about it!"
'The Imitation Game' star also revealed that the cast have nicknamed 'Harry Potter' actress Dame Maggie Smith - who stars as Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham in 'Downton Abbey' - 'The Notorious MAG', in homage to the late rapper The Notorious B.I.G.
Meanwhile, while Allen insists he never Google searches his own name, he does search the internet for old modelling shots of one of his cast mates.
He added: "I've Googled Rob [James-Collier]. There are some lovely modelling shots of him."
