*NSYNC have ‘lost’ album of unheard tracks

*NSYNC have an entire album’s worth of “lost” tracks that have never been heard.

The Bye Bye Bye hitmakers parted ways with late manager Lou Pearlman and his record label Trans Continental in the late 1990s and he retained the rights to the LP they had been working on at the time, causing them to start afresh with their 2000 record No Strings Attached, but the group don’t know what happened to the songs that were never released.

Joey Fatone, 49, told People magazine: “There’s a whole CD, because after we dispersed from [former manager Lou Pearlman], he owned the rights to the whole album that we recorded, and that’s why we didn’t get any of those.

“That’s why we started with [the] No Strings Attached album, we had to redo and just do a whole new album.”

Joey noted there are still around 12 or 13 songs floating around, and he may even have a copy himself.

He added: “There’s copies floating around and… the writers have either released it or put it somewhere.”

Bandmate Lance Bass, 47, believes many of the songs *NSYNC recorded but never released are “probably just lost” in a vault somewhere, including a track called Tanya which “would’ve been a banger”.

Joey added: “[It was] a song that had different names every chorus.

“It wasn’t that good. It made it nowhere.”

*NSYNC – which also included Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez – split in 2001 but have reunited a number of times over the years, most recently at the SexyBack hitmaker’s 2024 concert in Los Angeles, but the Cocktail Wars co-hosts seemingly suggested another performance is unlikely in the near future.

Asked about the possibility of another reunion, Lance said there’s “always a chance,” but “nothing being planned right now.”

Joey admitted earlier this year he was always ready to get the band back together.

Appearing on US docuseries Boy Band Confidential, he explained: “People are always asking, ‘Is the group getting together? Is anything going to happen?’

“Do I see anything in the near future? No, I don’t. Would I want to do it? Yes. Some of the other guys, sure. Some of the other guys, maybe not.”

Joey explained that some members are reluctant because they have young children at home, while Justin has only just wrapped a tour and has been battling Lyme disease.

He added: “I’ll be honest, I always say, ‘Hey, why not?’ because I think I’m ready.

“I don’t think everybody else is ready yet.”
