Miranda Hart wants her ‘Miranda’ co-star Sarah Hadland to guest star as a baby in ‘Call the Midwife’.
The 41-year-old comedienne, who stars as Chummy Browne in the BBC period drama, has asked her close pal and ‘Miranda’ co-star to make a cameo appearance in the next series.
However, Sarah insists she’ll only go ahead with it if Miranda appears in her comedy ‘The Job Lot’ as a jobseeker.
She explained: "She [Miranda] always said I should be a baby in ‘Call the Midwife’ – where they look into a pram and I am sitting there.
"And I said she should be a jobseeker – non-speaking, I made that clear. She can just be on the phone. It will happen, we will both cross over."
Sarah, 43, also revealed she’s looking forward to reuniting with Miranda when she reprises her role as Miranda’s best pal Steve in the upcoming Christmas special episodes.
She told The Sun newspaper: "We are filming two Christmas specials for Miranda in November. That’s exciting because we haven’t shot anything for about two years."
Meanwhile, ‘The Job Lot’ has switched from ITV1 to ITV2 for the upcoming second series, allowing for much raunchier scenes including one in which a lap dance takes place in the job centre.
