Diana Vickers wants Sex and the City role

Diana Vickers wants to star in a British version of 'Sex and the City'.
The former 'X Factor' wannabe is set to make her TV acting debut in tonight's (14.10.14) Comedy Central sitcom 'Give Out Girls', and the 23-year-old beauty admits she would love to follow in the footsteps of Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall by making a London-based version of the US romantic sitcom.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I have things potentially in the pipeline which is great.
"I'd love to do a version of 'Sex and the City' but in the UK, like a bunch of London girls in the city.
"I love 'The Inbetweeners' as well, I'd love to be in something like that, I find that absolutely hilarious. There's just so much great TV out there at the moment."
Diana stars as promotions girl Gemma in 'Give Out Girls' alongside Kerry Howard (Marilyn), Miranda Hennessy (Zoe) and Cariad Lloyd (Poppy), and admitted one of her favourite aspects of filming the show was being able to wear some crazy outfits.
She added: "I guess dressing up in a bright orange outfit and when we had to dress up in these crazy flamingo skirts, and then I had to be in like a giant nut outfit but I actually loved it.
"It was very sweaty inside the nut outfit and my little head was poking out but I really quite enjoyed it."
'Give Out Girls' starts on Tuesday at 9.30pm on Comedy Central.

Samantha Morton to star in Cider With Rosie

Samantha Morton is to star in 'Cider With Rosie'.
The Golden Globe award-winning and Oscar-nominated actress has been cast as Annie Lee in the upcoming BBC One adaptation of Laurie Lee's classic novel of the same name.
She said: "I am thrilled to have taken on the role of Annie Lee in BBC One's 'Cider With Rosie' as it is one of my favourite books."
The drama is to be directed by Call the Midwife's Philippa Lowthorpe and adapted by Ben Vanstone and will air on the channel next year as part of its season of classic 20th century literature.
Starring alongside Samantha will be Jessica Hynes as Miss Crabby, 'Absolutely Fabulous' actress June Whitfield as Granny Wallon and Annette Crosbie as Granny Trill while 'Glue' star Billy Howle will take on the role of Private James Harris.
Also joining the cast are newcomers Archie Cox, who will star as the protagonist Laurie (Lol), and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis as the title character Rosie and Emma Curtis as Marj.
'Cider With Rosie' is a coming-of-age story set in an idyllic village in the Cotswolds during and immediately after the First World War.
The story follows the life of young Lol as he grows from a boy to a man, from his first love to loss and family upheaval.
Commissioning Editor of BBC Drama Commissioning, Lucy Richer said: "'Cider With Rosie' is one of the gems of twentieth century literature, and has been loved by generations as a coming of age story about love and family that still rings true today, in Laurie Lee's centenary year.
"We are delighted to be bringing it to BBC One with a fantastic young cast alongside the wonderful Samantha Morton."

Noel Gallagher’s daughter ‘won’t forgive’ him for rejecting The X Factor

Noel Gallagher's daughter won't "ever forgive" him for turning down a judging role on 'The X Factor'.
The former Oasis rocker has admitted that Anais - his daughter with ex-wife Meg Matthews - is still annoyed with her famous father after he rejected ITV's offer of judging position on the singing show.
Speaking at a Q&A session at Facebook HQ on Monday (13.10.14) Noel explained: "Every week we watch it and as I'm tut-tutting at the screen she'll say to me, 'You could have been there. That could have been you slagging them off.'
"I don't think she'll ever forgive me. I'm convinced I'm going to have to go in a psychiatrist meeting with her when she's 34 and talk about it."
When asked if he would ever consider going on 'The X Factor' as a performer, he said: "I wouldn't have thought I'd ever get asked. Have you seen who they get on to perform on that? They properly put a show on. I couldn't put on a show like that, I don't put on a show like that."
Despite being busy working on his new album 'Chasing Yesterday' - which will be released on March 2, 2015 - Noel admitted that he loves watching unusual TV documentaries.
He shared: "There's f**k all to do when you get to my age ... I watch telly, I watch anything with sharks in. I saw this thing the other night I think it was called 'The Nazis' Prehistoric Creatures'. They were trying to breed dinosaurs, even if that's b******s somebody's put that on the telly - I'm duty bound to watch it."
Noel's new single, 'In the Heat of the Moment' will be released digitally and on limited-edition vinyl on November 17. Watch his Facebook interview with BBC 6 Music's Matt Everitt at www.facebook.com/noelgallaghermusic

Nicole Scherzinger not watching X Factor

Nicole Scherzinger hasn't been watching 'The X Factor'.
The 36-year-old singer was a judge on the previous two seasons of the talent show but she hasn't been able to find the time to tune into the current series.
Asked if she's been watching, she said: "No, because I've been working, I've not been sleeping, I've been promoting the album in the US, France and now here."
In her first year as a judge, Nicole mentored James Arthur to victory and has remained in touch with all her contestants from that series and is still very supportive, even though James has lost his record deal in part due to his outspoken antics.
She said: "I'm really happy for James, he's always writing. I keep in touch with all my boys, Rylan [Clark], James and Jahmene [Douglas] still."
Asked if she felt James needed advising on how to conduct himself in public, she added: "You learn along the way and real talent always rises to the top, I know James has got it in him, he's an amazing songwriter and those vocals, I believe in him and I think he's gonna kill it."
And though she failed to win with her acts last year, Nicole still felt victorious as she got to perform with eventual winner Sam Bailey at the show's final - even though she was ill.
She told BBC Radio 2's Graham Norton: "I felt like I was winning up there getting to sing with her, that was so much fun. It was a blessing, I love to be on stage so I talk about it all the time, I'm just hungry to be up there. I was actually sick that night, Sam was praying for me, they gave me something to make my throat sing and it just came out, then she won and just killed it."

Caroline Flack treats herself to spare ribs after Strictly training

Caroline Flack has ordered a haul of 50 spare ribs to be delivered to her 'Strictly Come Dancing' rehearsal studio today (14.10.14).
The former 'Xtra Factor' host has been burning off countless calories while training hard for the BBC One ballroom show in recent weeks, but she is going to treat herself to some special 'Freddy's Ribs from House of Cards' from Virgin Media's TV Diner, which opens in London's Soho today.
A source told BANG Showbiz: "Apparently all that tango-ing is leaving 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Caroline Flack with withdrawal symptoms from her favourite TV shows.
"The former 'Xtra Factor' presenter has reportedly requested no less than fifty of 'Freddy's Ribs from House of Cards' from Virgin Media's TV Diner in Soho be delivered to her rehearsal studio tomorrow."
As a result of Caroline's calorific treat request, the chef at the TV Diner - which features specially-made meals from an array of top TV shows, such as the Los Pollos Hermanos chicken from 'Breaking Bad' - has had to make a special extra supply of the juicy ribs.
The source added: "Chef Neil Rankin, who has created the unique menu, featuring dishes from an array of TV shows and films, has had to take on an extra chef to fulfil the order."
As well as her love of ribs, the 34-year-old stunner recently confessed she is "high on dance" at the moment as her 'Strictly' moves are the only thing on her mind.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's much harder than I thought.
"I'm really high on dance right now. That's all I've been thinking about and I love it."

Simon Cowell tips Ben Haenow to win X Factor

Simon Cowell has tipped Ben Haenow to win 'The X Factor'.
The music mogul is so confident the hopeful, who is in his Over-25s category, is going to win the talent show this year he is encouraging fans of the series to place a £50 bet on him to triumph.
He said: "I've already got a winner and he's one of mine.
"But it's not who everyone is predicting. I'm guessing that Ben Haenow is going to surprise people - and I suggest you put £50 on him to win.
"But there are a handful of people who could take it.
"It's down to how they develop throughout the live shows and that makes far more of an eventful series for me."
Simon admits he is delighted to have returned as a judge on the UK version of the talent show and insists this year's panel - also made up of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh - is "perfect".
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, he added: "I couldn't be happier to be back on the British show. There's something about it.
"Something I can't quite put my finger on that I just love. The panel is perfect, too."

Lord Alan Sugar unsure of The Apprentice future

Lord Alan Sugar is unsure over the future of 'The Apprentice'.
The 67-year-old businessman has admitted he has reservations about the longevity of the BBC One show and his role on the programme.
When asked by The Guardian newspaper how much longer he plans to star on the show, he said: "It depends on me, until I conk out I suppose.
"Perhaps I will carry on until I am at least 70, let's say. Who knows?"
The 10th series of the reality TV show - which sees business professionals compete in tasks to become Lord Sugar's business partner - will begin on Tuesday (14.10.14), but he has suggested his time on the show is limited.
But with an 11th series of the show already in pre-production, Alan admitted he has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
When asked if he does plan to leave the programme when he reaches 70, he replied: "I don't know, you are asking me a question. How old was Brucie [Bruce Forsyth] when he threw in the towel? 86? Oh blimey."
The entrepreneur instead suggested it would be the BBC who decide on the show's fate, as they did with spin-off show 'Young Apprentice' which was axed last year, but confirmed he has a "good dialogue, let's put it that way" with the broadcaster.

Overload Generation ‘gutted’ about X Factor exit

Overload Generation are "gutted" about their 'X Factor' exit.
The boy band were kicked off the show on Sunday evening (12.10.14) after the first live shows of the series and despite feeling devastated, the group admitted they won't forget the experience in a hurry.
Speaking on ITV's 'This Morning'. they said: "Obviously we are gutted, but we had the time of our lives on there.
"It was a mad experience and not many people were lucky enough to do what we were able to do so we are just so grateful for that."
The lads - who have already amassed an online following of over 200,000 - performed a rendition of Katy Perry's 'I Kissed a Girl' on the singing contest on Saturday night (11.10.14) but were criticised by judges for not being any different to any other boy bands.
However, band member Joey Devries has slammed the judges' comments, insisting the judges were particularly harsh on them.
He said: "Well, Saturday night we did give it our all. I don't think it was as bad as they [the judges] made it out to be - when we got back and watched it back, it weren't that bad. We were going to bring more the week after but obviously..."
The five-piece band are being optimistic despite their departure from the competition, explaining they will continue to make music and are gearing up for the release of their first single.
Ollie Garland added: "I think the thing for us is that we didn't get to perform more of our original stuff like we did [at] Wembley ... but that's all going to change in the upcoming year - we've got our single 'No No No' out in April so we're looking forward to that."

Blonde Electra: We performed for rapists

Blonde Electra weren't worried about appearing on 'The X Factor' because they've performed for rapists.
The group made up of sisters Ruby and Jazzy King - who were voted off the ITV singing competition last night (12.10.14) - confessed they weren't scared about starring on the series after putting on shows for prison inmates.
Ruby, 22, told the Metro newspaper: "Singing in prison was awesome. One of the best gigs we ever did."
Jazzy, 24, added: "We sang for about 200 lifers. They were all rapists and murderers.
The pretty blondes were also forced to sing to members of their parents' strict Children of God cult by their father.
Jazzy explained: "Our parents met in a sex cult but left in 1991 and dad formed his own little cult, not sexual, but just as crazy. We had a very strict upbringing.
"He formed a little Christian band with five of us and we sang songs that he wrote. Horrible, Horrible stuff."
However, the American sisters previously explained how their aspirations to become singers allowed them to escape from their parents' clutches.
Jazzy explained: "We moved out when we were 12 and 15 because we met this guy who owned a club and was looking for singers. We were, like, 'F**k, yeah!'
"But our parents believe that, once you leave, you're going to hell. We have hardly any contact with them - though our dad writes us hate mails."
Ruby added: "He thinks we're sinners and are going to go to hell for doing 'The X Factor'."
