Gemma Merna for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here

'Hollyoaks' actress Gemma Merna is reportedly heading to the 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here' jungle.
The blonde beauty - whose character Carmel McQueen is set to be killed off in the Channel 4 soap later this year - will head to Australia at the beginning of next month to take part in the reality series, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
The 30-year-old star is a bikini calendar favourite and will no doubt please fans by stripping down to her swimming costume for a wash in the creek if she does sign up for the challenge - that would see her tasked with eating insects and animal parts as well as performing death-defying stunts.
Speaking about the possibility of going into the jungle last year, Gemma said: "I don't know if I could cope with all the creepy crawlies on I'm A Celebrity!
"I'd be away from my family for so long. Your whole life would be consumed while you were there and I don't think I could cope with that. If I don't eat, I get moody; If I get tired, I get moody and I cry - I'm a typical girl!"
However, there won't be any romance on the cards for Gemma if she works up the courage to take part, as she tied the knot with husband Ian Milton in 2012.
Meanwhile The Wanted's Max George is also said to be in negotiations to join the line-up of the Ant & Dec hosted ITV show, while Vicky Pattison's departure from 'Geordie Shore' was rumoured to have been influenced by her desire to travel to the jungle.

Sue Johnston wants more roles for women

Sue Johnston wants more acting roles for women.
The 'Downton Abbey' actress - who plays the role of Lady Maid to Dowager Countess of Grantham (Dame Maggie Smith) in the ITV period drama - has confessed that although things have changed a lot since the early days of her career, she still thinks there aren't enough parts for female actors.
She said: "It's certainly improved, Julian Fellowes [the 'Downton Abbey' creator] obviously writes great parts for women, he's fond of a matriarch and he's very good at writing for women.
"It has got better but the majority of work is for men. I went to the theatre the other night and there was one girl in the cast of about 20 men and you think it still hasn't rocked back properly but it certainly has improved.
"There's still a lot of room for improvement, for women, really there is."
The 70-year-old star also spoke about the excitement of having Hollywood superstar George Clooney on set while filming a special charity episode.
Speaking to Kate Garraway on ITV's 'Lorraine', Sue admitted: "There was a huge buzz about him being around as you can imagine. Since it broke that he was in [the show] my phone has been going mad with my friends going, 'Did you see him?' He's married, gone, forget it girls!"

Lynda Bellingham ‘would be thrilled’ with best seller

Lynda Bellingham "would be thrilled" her autobiography has made the bestseller list.
According to her publisher, the late Loose Women' star - whose book 'There's Something I've Been Dying To Tell You' sold 35,084 copies in just a week after she died from cancer on October 19 this year - would have been pleased the work is reaching such a wide audience and helping more people.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the book's publisher, Hodder, said: "Lynda would have been thrilled. She wrote it to help people and wanted it to reach the widest audience."
Lynda passed away aged 66 in her husband, Michael Pattemore's arms after battling colon cancer, which had spread to her lungs and liver.
Michael - who had been married to Lynda for six years - recently confessed he tried to call the late star to ask her the whereabouts of the outfit she had requested to be buried in.
He said: "[I] had to stop myself ringing her".
It was recently announced Lynda's funeral will be a Royal Variety-style celebration of her life with Michael honouring the beloved actress and television presenter's dying wish by inviting her close pals to give her "one last show".
Christopher Biggins, Maureen Lipman, Jane McDonald, Denise Welch and Nickolas Grace will all perform at the celebration in Somerset next Monday (03.11.14) before a memorial service is held in London at a later date.

Claire Danes would make an ‘abysmal’ CIA agent

Claire Danes would make an "abysmal" CIA agent.
The 'Homeland' actress - who stars as dedicated counterterrorism officer Carrie Mathison in the hit series - has revealed she couldn't be more different from her on-screen character.
She said: "The truth is, Carrie is so dissimilar to me on basically every level.
"I would be an abysmal CIA officer. I'm not even a political beast. I make imaginative leaps all the time. I'm very good at pretending I guess."
The 35-year-old star - who has 23-month-old son Cyrus with husband Hugh Dancy - also revealed her parenting skills are very different to those Carrie has been displaying with her new son.
Speaking about the grief of having a child with Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) - who died at the end of the last series - Claire explained: "The baby is incredibly confronting for her, so her solution is to bail.
"She's making morally suspect choices. But where would be the fun in seeing her having a reasonable and pleasant time?"
Claire - who admits she misses filming alongside former co-star Damian - insists her son is now the most important man in her life.
She added to Glamour magazine: "I love it [parenthood], I love him and I'm endlessly amazed by the depths to which I do, at how involuntary and profound it is.
"Even when he's sleeping there's this sense of responsibility. Once you make that choice you can never un-make it and I don't think there's any other situation where that's the case."

Kara Tointon splits from Artem Chigvintsev

Kara Tointon has confirmed she and Artem Chigvintsev are no longer together.
The 'EastEnders' actress first met the professional dancer when she was partnered with him on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2010 but she's now revealed their relationship has come to an end.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "We are not together.
"We're fine, but we aren't a couple any more. The reason I haven't spoken about it is because I hate reading about myself in that way."
It was reported earlier this year that they were no longer dating after the 31-year-old star was spotted on a night out without the Russian dancer - who is now starring on the US version of Strictly, 'Dancing with the Stars'.
And Kara admits their hectic schedules and the fact the terms of Artem's visa meant he was unable to stay in the UK on a permanent basis led to them calling it quits.
However, Kara is now looking to the future and is excited to be appearing in the new series of 'Mr. Selfridge' on ITV.
She said: "I finished filming for the show last week. It comes out in January next year. I play the eldest daughter of Harry Selfridge, her name is Rosalie. We're playing from 1919 so it's all period which is absolutely fascinating."

Len Goodman: I wish Anton du Beke would get ‘hot young’ partner

Len Goodman wishes Anton du Beke would be partnered with a "hot young dancer".
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge has confessed he feels sorry for the professional dancer, who is often paired with less capable celebrity contestants on the BBC One dance contest.
Speaking about whether he thinks Anton should've taken over as host when Sir Bruce Forsyth stepped down from the role earlier this year, Len said: "I think if they decide to change the format again I think Anton would be great. In the meantime, I just wish he'd get partnered with a hot young dancer.
"I mean, he's had Ann Widdecombe, Nancy Dell'Olio - and now Judy Murray!"
The 70-year-old professional ballroom dancer revealed he is full of enthusiasm for the current series of the show, despite having been unsure as to who some of the celebrities that are taking part were before it started.
He admitted: "The line up is fantastic. I love it. It doesn't matter if you haven't heard of some of these guys (and, frankly, I hadn't) because you learn about them as the show goes on."
Meanwhile, Len - who also acts as a judge on the US version of Strictly, 'Dancing with the Stars' - has rubbished claims he is planning to quit the show.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "No! I wouldn't leave Strictly for something else. They will have to drag me off kicking and screaming. And my mum, who's 97, would kill me. Besides - who'd keep the other judges in line?"

James Argent suspended from TOWIE

James 'Arg' Argent has been suspended from 'The Only Way is Essex'.
The 26-year-old reality star was reprimanded by producers for his constant partying and poor time keeping, but after continuing to turn up late, he was suspended indefinitely last Thursday (23.10.14) and warned he could be axed permanently if he doesn't change his ways.
A spokesperson confirmed Arg - who sparked a police incident in August when he failed to arrive at Gatwick airport for a work-related flight - will not appear in this week's show.
Friends are hoping the punishment will be a stark wake-up call for the star.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "He's been living in the fast lane for the past four years and the airport incident was worrying.
"He needs to get back on track otherwise he'll be out of a job."
Following the airport incident, Arg claimed he went to the wrong airport by mistake, had no battery on his mobile phone and he had fallen asleep in a nearby hotel.
He said: "I woke up and went on Twitter. All I saw was, 'Pray for Arg'. I thought, 'Why are they praying for me?' It's embarrassing."

Simon Webbe respects Kristina Rihanoff ‘too much’ to date her

Simon Webbe has "too much respect" for Kristina Rihanoff to date her.
The Blue singer was rumoured to be romancing his 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner but he's now spoken out to insist that their relationship is purely professional and platonic.
He said: "Kristina and I have become great friends. She is an amazing teacher and I'm in awe of her and all the dancers. They are unsung heroes. They are like athletes."
Explaining why he's not enticed by Kristina's beauty, Simon added: "I have too much respect for Kristina to even suggest anything like romance. I own a model agency and so am surrounded by beautiful women a lot.
"I've got too much respect for the ladies I work with. Never mix business with pleasure! When Kristina and I have finished training, we do a high five and go our separate ways."
The 36-year-old hunk - who has been single since splitting from his girlfriend of three years Maria Kouka earlier this year - claims he's now looking for a different kind of love.
He added to Closer magazine: "If I was ever going to go into a relationship with anybody, I would want to have a friendship with them first. This attraction thing, where you dive straight in and then two years down the line you realise you don't know the person, is not for me now.
"I am single and I am happy. I am training six days a week and if I do go out, after I've had two tequilas, I can't see anyone anyway."

Dan Osborne is unsure whether Jacqueline Jossa is ‘the one’

Dan Osborne doesn't know whether Jacqueline Jossa is "the one".
The 23-year-old hunk and 'EastEnders' actress are expecting their first child together after rekindling their romance earlier this year, but 'The Only Way Is Essex' star claims he's unsure as to whether she's "the one" for him.
He said: "Hopefully I'm with someone who knows enough about me to trust me. Is Jacqueline the one? It's hard to say but I'd like to think so."
Dan and Jacqueline, 21 - who stars as Lauren Branning in the BBC One soap - are reported to have had a number of fallings out in recent weeks after it was revealed he'd sent a naked picture of himself to his TOWIE co-star Georgia Kousoulou, but he insists nothing is going on and that he's happy the mother of his child doesn't appear on the ITVBe reality series.
He shared: "Having everyone watching you does add pressure. My relationship off screen does limit my storylines, but I'm glad because I don't want my role on the show to be all about dating."
Meanwhile, Dan's ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin - with whom he has 10-month-old son Teddy - is not said to have taken the news that the father of her child is already expecting a baby with another woman very well.
He added to Closer magazine: "It's not easy for Megan. I'm obviously in the middle but I'm trying to do the best I can for her, Jacqueline and of course Teddy."
