James Jordan: Ola won’t win Strictly Come Dancing

James Jordan doesn't think his wife will win 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' star was axed from the BBC One celebrity dance contest last year but wife Ola Jordan is currently competing with 'Deadly 60' presenter Steve Backshall, who he doesn't think has a chance of taking home the coveted glitterball trophy.
Speaking at the SeriousFun Children's Network Gala at London's Roundhouse, James told BANG Showbiz: "Frankie's [Frankie Bridge] going to win obviously. I think Frankie will win but, yeah, it would be great if Ola won."
James did have words of encouragement for Steve, however, as he confessed he thinks he's doing really well considering other celebrities taking part including Frankie, former 'Xtra Factor' host Caroline Flack and singer Pixie Lott have had dance lessons in the past.
The 36-year-old ballroom dancer said: "You know what, he seems really likeable which is great and he seems like he's a trier and, for me, that's what Strictly's about.
"Of course you're always going to have people on the show who have had previous dance training and he's obviously had none and I think he's doing a good job for quite a big guy."
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Ola has responded to her husband's claim that she won't win, admitting she'd love to lift the trophy for a second time after winning with Chris Hollins in 2009.
She said: "I need to prove him wrong then don't I? I would love to be the first dancer to win it for a second time."

Vicky Pattison quit Geordie Shore to be ‘normal’

Vicky Pattison quit 'Geordie Shore' to be a "normal girl".
The 26-year-old reality star announced last week that series nine will be her last season on the MTV reality show because she wants to retreat from the spotlight and settle down with her butcher boyfriend James Morgan, 32.
Asked why she decided to walk away from the programme, she said: "I'm trying to slow my life down a bit - it's all very well taking on every photo shoot and business opportunity, but is it going to make me happy at the end of the day? I don't think so.
"I'm just a normal girl who'd eventually like a husband, house and a family. And I think James is 'The One'."
Vicky has only been dating James - who has a six-year-old daughter, Talia, from a previous romance - since February but they have already discussed marriage and having children.
She told the new issue of Now magazine: "We've been talking about [marriage] but my sister Laura said, 'Don't be doing anything stupid James. I'm not having you propose to her after you've been together less than a year.'
"I didn't think I was broody - I'm so not into kids. But as I get older, I do want them. Talia's definitely helped. If I do have kids, it'll be way, way in the future."
Vicky - who was previously engaged to her co-star Ricci Guarnaccio - has been made the Queen of the 'Geordie Shore' house and put in charge of her other housemates, including Charlotte Crosby, Holly Hagan, Marnie Simpson, Scott 'Scotty T' Timlin and Gary 'Gaz' Beadle, for her final series.

Lauren Goodger: Mark is embarrassing on Strictly

Lauren Goodger thinks Mark Wright's 'Strictly Come Dancing' performances are "embarrassing".
The former 'Only Way is Essex' star admits she can't bear to watch her former boyfriend in action on the ballroom dance contest because his routines have been so cringe-worthy.
Speaking to the new issue of heat magazine, she said "It's embarrassing. I mean, what is he doing? I watch and can't stop laughing at his dancing and the faces he pulls. I don't know why he does it - he looks silly."
Mark found himself close to leaving the competition two weeks ago, prompting him to break down in tears, and judge Craig Revel Horwood recently criticised his emotional outburst.
He said: "Pull yourself together. Man up. It's only a dancing show and not World War Three.
"Don't get upset when you get criticised by the judges. We're there to help and we're there to criticise. It's our job."
Mark recently admitted his hectic 'Strictly Come Dancing' training schedule means he hasn't been seeing as much of his fiancée Michelle Keegan as he'd like.
He said: "It's been so great living together but then Strictly started and everything went crazy. We've been taken away from each other a little bit.
"But 'Strictly...' is finishing at Christmas, as is the TV drama she's working on, so we're going to take January off, relax and get ready for next year's wedding."

Claudia Winkleman’s daughter in Halloween accident

Claudia Winkleman's daughter had to be rushed to hospital after she was involved in an accident at a Halloween party.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' host's eight-year-old daughter Matilda had been enjoying the spooky holiday last Friday (31.10.14) when the dress she was wearing is believed to have caught fire.
The accident is the reason Claudia missed Saturday night's episode of 'Strictly...' and why 'Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two' host Zoe Ball stood in for her.
A statement issued on behalf of Claudia and her family said: "Our daughter was involved in an accident on Friday night while celebrating Halloween. She is having the best care possible and we are hopeful of a full recovery. We would like to thank everyone that has been so supportive and particularly the NHS doctors, nurses and staff who have been absolutely incredible. We would like to take this opportunity to remind anyone taking part in fireworks parties or Guy Fawkes celebrations to be vigilant about the dangers of candles, open fires and fireworks and to be please have the appropriate safety measures in place and to hand."
Claudia is expected to miss the next few weeks of the BBC One ballroom dancing competition - which she co-hosts with Tess Daly - as she cares for her child.
The 42-year-old TV star is married to film producer Kris Thykier and as well as Matilda they have two sons, Jake and Arthur.

Kate Garraway would wear Christmas jumper every day

Kate Garraway would wear her "sparkly Santa" Christmas jumper every day if she could get away with it.
The TV presenter loves her festive knitwear so much she wishes it was acceptable to be able to wear her favourite winter garment all year around, and in attempt to put on the article of clothing as much as possible she has joined Save The Children's Christmas Jumper Day campaign.
She said: "I got involved with Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day campaign this year because it's a fantastic charity that does great work in the UK and across the world and this is a great excuse to wear your gaudy jumper - although I'd wear a jumper with a sparkly Santa on all year round if I could!"
Several other stars have also joined the charity initiative, which is encouraging people to wear their Christmas jumpers on December 12th and donate £2 to the charity, including The Saturdays singer Una Foden, who was drawn to the cause because of all the good work the initiative does for vulnerable kids.
The 33-year-old star - who has two-year-old daughter Aoife with husband Ben Foden and is pregnant with their second child - said: "I'm supporting the campaign because it helps raise money for some of the most poor and vulnerable children in the world".
Kate and Una have been photographed as part of Save The Children's Christmas Jumper Campaign, which launches today (04.11.14), alongside other famous faces such as Frankie Bridge, Fearne Cotton, Jess Wright, Mark Wright, Bruno Tonioli and Kate Thornton.

Christopher Biggins believes in reincarnation

Christopher Biggins has revealed he believes in reincarnation in the wake of Lynda Bellingham's funeral.
The 65-year-old actor was friends with the late actress for 40 years and read a tribute to Lynda at her funeral at St Bartholomew's Church in Crewkerne, Somerset, on Monday (04.11.14).
Biggins appeared on 'Loose Women' - the daytime talk show that Lynda had been a panellist on - today (04.11.14) to discuss her memorial service and admitted he believes her soul has now moved on to someone else.
Revealing his thoughts on death, he said: "It's a taboo subject. I think there's a look in certain people and you know that's what is going to happen, inevitably we are all going to go. I'm lucky I believe that we are going on to a better place. I believe the body is nothing, it will be burnt or buried but the soul goes on and I think it goes on to enter someone else. I have a great affiliation with Rome and playing Nero was like second nature to me!"
Biggins suggestion he may have once been a Roman Emperor prompted Ruth Langsford to say: "If Lynda was here now she'd be laughing her head off at that!"
Although they were plenty of tears at Lynda's funeral, Biggins insisted they were lots of laughs and he is sure his pal would have been very pleased with the "send-off" she was given by friends and family.
He said: "We shouldn't be sad any more because we did give her the most wonderful send off. It was fantastic, from the people outside the church to the people inside ... Gyles Brandreth started it off magnificently and then Denise Welch's poem was fantastic. They were so many wonderful, wonderful things but the thing that we all went (broke down on), was when her sons Michael and Robbie read the letter from Lynda.
"Laughter was the key thing. For 40 years I knew Lynda and we never stopped laughing right up until the end, it was laughter that was key. She was inspirational, what she did in the last two weeks of her life will have helped so many people."

Ian Beale to be haunted in EastEnders special

Ian Beale is to be haunted by ghosts of 'Eastenders' past for 'Children in Need'.
The Watford businessman - played by Adam Woodyatt - will be reunited with several spooky familiar faces in a forthcoming one-off mini-episode which will be broadcast as part of the BBC charity telethon.
The 46-year-old actor explains: "After being knocked unconscious Ian finds himself taken back in time and he comes into contact with Pat, Cindy, Kathy and Lucy in various iconic places around The Square,"
Gillian Taylforth, Michelle Collins, Pam St Clement and Hetti Bywater will assume their characters once again in the spooky situation, with Adam revealing that his character will find that the encounters bring about mixed emotions.
He told Radio Times magazine: "I don't want to spoil it but Ian is really happy to see some faces and completely knocked for six by others but then again I think finding your late ex-wife in your kitchen is enough to shock anyone."
Returning actress Gillian, who originally appeared as Ian's mum Kathy, has also spoken about getting back to Albert Square, saying: "Once I was back in the café with my apron on and stirring the beans it was like I had never left."
Discussing the return of the iconic characters, Adam added: "It was one of the best days I have ever had at work.
"I never thought I would see the day where I was reunited with Gillian, Pam, Michelle and Hetti so to work with them all again and for such a great cause was an absolute dream."
The special will be broadcast on BBC One on November 14.

Peter Capaldi experiemented with Master-ful kisses

Peter Capaldi experimented with lots of different kisses with The Master for their smooching scene in 'Doctor Who'.
The 56-year-old actor - who plays the Doctor - had to lock lips with his infamous foe who has changed sex and become a female Time Lord, now known as The Mistress and portrayed by Michelle Gomez, in last weekend's episode 'Dark Water'.
Director Rachel Talalay has revealed the co-stars shot multiple takes of the kiss because Capaldi wanted to get it exactly right.
In an interview with MTV.com, she said: "Michelle had to experiment with so many things in the read through, and you know she would bring something so funny to it no matter what. And Peter loves doing variety - he loves going again, and trying something completely new.
"We could have spent all day letting them play with that, so I wish you could see all the takes of it. We were all on the floor laughing. I didn't have to do anything but stand back and watch the magic.
"One of Peter's debates was that it was very much scripted so that his eyes were closed ... And we had a long discussion of closed/open. Can you be as shocked by it? Which is most effective?"
Talalay also revealed her experience making 1991 horror movie 'Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare' - the sixth film in the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' franchise - was very useful for bringing to life the Cybermen in the episode.
She revealed: "I'm very glad that I worked on 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' because at that point I learned early on tricks about mechanical effects, physical effects, make-up effects and what then was visual effects, not digital effects. So I had a vocabulary in my head of what you can do, because you're balancing cost, you're balancing efficiency, and you're balancing spectacle. Number one is spectacle, spectacle, spectacle ... Some of the action was so large and significant that I felt like I was directing a Marvel movie."
'Death in Heaven' - the series finale of 'Doctor Who' which Talalay also directed - airs on BBC One this Saturday (08.11.14).

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini reveals Lola inspired her X Factor performance

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini says her performance on 'The X Factor' on Sunday (02.11.14) was inspired by Lola Saunders.
The 31-year-old beauty delivered an eye-catching rendition of her new single 'I Don't Care' and speaking after the programme, she revealed Lola - who was voted off the ITV reality show - encouraged her sexy moves.
Cheryl told the Metro newspaper: "Lola has given me some dance moves this week, so I actually learnt a few from her." Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini - Cheryl's new husband - was among the crowd for the live show, and whereas he is usually reserved during her performances, the Frenchman appeared to be enjoying watching his wife in action.
A source explained: "JB is usually bored during the live show recordings but he couldn't tear his eyes off her during her stunning performance.
"He was clapping the whole time and also whipped out his camera to photograph her. He looked so proud. Normally he is not even watching what is happening on stage."
Meanwhile, Lola has been gushing about her boyfriend of four years, Jordan, revealing her mother was instrumental in the pair getting together.
She explained: "My mum always used to say, 'Isn't Jordan nice?' and I would think, 'Yeah'.
"He was always dead shy at school so it was after school we got together and things blossomed. But my mum was the matchmaker. If she said, 'I don't like him', I would be put off."
