Perez Hilton given formal warning

Perez Hilton has been giving a formal caution on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The 36-year-old gossip blogger has been warned he could be removed from the Channel 5 reality show due to his inappropriate behaviour, after threatening to sexually assault his fellow housemate, Calum Best in a row broadcast on Friday evening's (30.01.15) episode of 'Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side'.
In an argument between the pair, the model and actor told Perez to "Be the d**k," prompting the outspoken contestant to reply: "I will do, I'll be the huge d**k and I'll shove it up your a**e."
Later on, the controversial character was called to the diary room where he was told his behaviour had been unacceptable, and further incidents could lead to his removal from the house.
They said: "If you repeat this behaviour again, Big Brother may have no choice but to remove you from the house."
Hertfordshire Police have since confirmed they received one complaint in relation to the incident but have passed the issue onto Ofcom.
They said: "The Constabulary has received one complaint regarding an episode of Big Brother's Bit On The Side in relation to comments made by Perez Hilton towards Calum Best."
A Channel 5 spokesperson added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Perez Hilton has received a formal and final warning from Big Brother for using unacceptable and offensive language."

Perez Hilton receives death threats

'Celebrity Big Brother' bosses have increased security around the house after Perez Hilton received death threats.
The gossip blogger - who caused controversy earlier this week after he was seen harassing and trying to lick fellow contestant Katie Hopkins - has been the subject of abuse on social media since the scenes were aired on the Channel 5 show, with one user even calling for him to be "shot by a sniper on exit".
According to the Daily Star newspaper, series bosses are taking the threats seriously and have stepped up security around the Borehamwood, Hertfordshire premises.
One social media user tweeted: "Watched tonight's show & want Perez Hilton to die! Shot by a sniper on exit would be ideal."
Another wrote: "Is it wrong to want Perez Hilton to die choking on his own tongue?"
While one angry viewer commented: "Actually want to stab Perez Hilton in every hole in his body f*****g annoying p**ck (sic)."
Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has been bombarded with messages from angry fans disgusted with Perez's behaviour.
The total number of complaints made to the regulatory body about the controversial star amount to more than those received for Jeremy Jackson and Ken Morley - who were both removed from the house for "unacceptable" behaviour - and Alexander O'Neal, who was given a formal warning for using homophobic language, put together.
Perez - whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira - previously confessed he "doesn't give a s**t" about the British public but believes they are "keeping [him] in [the house] for a reason".
He said: "I want to get the f*** out, but they are obviously keeping me in for a reason.
"If they like me, then great, but I'm not doing anything to make them like me - I'm just being me."
After faking a walk-out and being put up in a secret room before returning to the main house earlier this week, viewers have now voted for him to be up for eternal eviction.

Stacey Solomon fears for her life on The Jump

Stacey Solomon fears for her life on 'The Jump'.
The former 'X Factor' contestant - who is set to appear on the winter sport's competition alongside Joey Essex, 'Jackass' star Steve-O and 'Gogglebox' regular Dom Parker - admitted she has worried for her safety while practising for the show, which begins on Channel 4 on Sunday February 1 at 7pm.
The 25-year-old star - who has also appeared on 'I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here' - is more terrified about her stint on 'The Jump' as she is already covered in bruises from training and fears her natural clumsiness could be hazardous on the slopes.
She said: "I feel like I could die here. The skeleton is the scariest thing I've done in my life.
"When I was in the jungle for I'm a Celebrity, I knew I wasn't going to get hurt, whereas falling off the edge of a mountain could kill you. I'm naturally so clumsy.
"I just tripped over a chair - I'm not even on the slopes and I'm still hurting myself. I've got bruises from training where I never thought you could get bruises."
The mum of two - who has Zachary, six, and Leighton, two - is looking forward to a confidence boost when the pair fly out to join her for the start of the series.
She told The Sun newspaper: "The boys won't be scared watching me do the events. They're boys, so they'll be like, 'Wooo!' And if I'm rubbish, they'll say, 'Oh whatever Mum, we could have done that better'."
Although the brunette beauty is terrified of hurting herself, she insists she won't be following in the footsteps of former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Amy Childs - who was eliminated from the first season of the show last year after refusing to try the smallest ski jump.
She said: "I am the least sporty person ever, but I'm really trying hard at this. I'm being really careful, not overdoing it or showing off.
"I'm not going to back out like Amy Childs did. What's the point in coming here and not doing it? What a waste."

Joey Essex to be Kim Kardashian West of skiers

Joey Essex will be the "Kim Kardashian West of skiers".
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star - who is competing on the Channel 4 skiing competition 'The Jump' - is so worried about damaging his bottom on the slopes that he is going to cover his backside in protective pads and thinks he will resemble the curvaceous reality TV star .
He said: "I nearly broke my coccyx, so I'm going to order this special padding that protects it.
"I'll be like the Kim Kardashian-West of skiers, and people will say, 'Why is Joey's arse so huge?'"
The 24-year-old star confessed he has already injured himself during training for the show but is "proud" of himself and keen to improve so he can become more skilled on the slopes than his pals.
He told heat magazine: "I've hurt myself in training a few times, but I've got back up again. I'm proud of myself.
"I know it's dangerous, but there'll be a time when I'll want to go skiing with my mates, and it'll make me a better skier than them."

Nadia Sawalha evicted from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’

Nadia Sawalha has been evicted from 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The 'Loose Women' panelist was relieved to become the fourth housemate to be eliminated from the show tonight (30.01.15) after going head-to-head against Katie Hopkins, Keith Chegwin and Perez Hilton in the public vote.
The 50-year-old star, who was a long-term fan of the show, was heavily booed by the crowd and admitted to host Emma Willis that she had made "a terrible mistake" by taking part in the Channel 5 series.
She said: "I should never have crossed over. I made a terrible mistake, it was a disaster.
"I'm so glad I'm out. It was hell."
Following her elimination, Perez, who was close friends with her inside and was desperate for Hopkins to be evicted, was seen wiping away tears, and Nadia defended the celebrity blogger, who has regularly come under fire for his attitude on the show.
She said: "I couldn't turn my back on him. I think people lost the courage to be his friend.
"You see it's association, they knew the audience hate him. Even if I didn't like him I would have aligned myself to him so that he wasn't isolate him because I hate people being bullied."
But the TV presenter branded Hopkins a "silly cow" and believes she is on a "campaign" to be liked.
She said: "I thought she was a silly cow."

Sir David Jason thanks family values for Only Fools and Horses success

Sir David Jason believes family values are to thank for the success of 'Only Fools and Horses'.
The 74-year-old actor, who played wide boy Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter in the popular comedy, admits telling the story of Del and his brother Rodney's (Nicholas Lyndhurst) journey through life allowed viewers to connect with them, resulting in its success.
He said: Nobody had done one before about families and, of course, everyone has a family. You've either got a family or in a family. One of the things that [writer] John [Sullivan] put his heart into was that he knew London, and he knew its people. He knew all about the world he was writing about and family was desperately important to him."
The 'Still Open All Hours' star - who is counting down the nation's favourite episodes in a new show - also revealed he never thought of 'OFAH' as a sitcom, but rather as a "comedy drama" because of the development of the characters.
Speaking about talking with Nicholas and Lennard Pearce, who played Del and Rodney's Granddad, after they landed the roles, he explained: "We went to the bar and we were elated to get the jobs, and I said to the pair of them - because I'd had a little bit of experience of sitcoms - that his wasn't a sitcom, I'd call it more a comedy drama. What we've got here is a comedy drama. From that moment on and the way we approached it, OFAH changed the way sitcoms were viewed.
"You had a very strong narrative, and the characters were being funny during the journey they were going on."
Sir David presents 'Only Fools and Horses: The Favourites', nightly at 9pm from 31st January on Gold

Piers Linney has quit Dragons’ Den

Piers Linney has quit 'Dragons' Den'.
The technology and communications entrepreneur has announced he will leave the BBC Two show at the end of the current series after joining two years ago.
He said: "I have enjoyed every minute of my time on Dragons' Den and feel honoured to have had the opportunity to contribute to such an iconic and long-running TV show and to have been the first Dragon with Afro Caribbean heritage.
"It is now the right time for me to move on, although entrepreneurship and diversity are two of my greatest passions so I will continue to focus my energies on supporting both."
Piers' decision to quit the show comes following fellow Dragon Kelly Hoppen's announcement last week that she is also leaving.
However, the 43-year-old businessman plans to continue working alongside the companies he invested in during his stint on the programme and is also hoping to continue campaigning for equality.
Piers added: "Inclusion and social mobility have always been something which I have dedicated considerable energy and resources to promoting ... I am determined to do my bit to create a more level playing field for the next generation, irrespective of race, religion, gender, sexuality or socio-background."

Chris Evans in ‘the middle of tests’ for prostate cancer

Chris Evans is being tested for prostate cancer.
The BBC Radio 2 host has revealed he's in the middle of a prostate scare as he's not been able to stop going to the toilet "since Christmas" and has therefore decided to visit his doctor.
Speaking after The Who drummer Kenney Jones spoke as a guest reader on his 'The Chris Evans Breakfast Show' 'On This Day' slot, Chris said: "Thank you once again to Kenney Jones, of The Who who was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple of years ago and since recovery has been a fundraiser and supporter of Prostate Cancer UK.
"Prostate cancer, and colon cancer of course, are one of the most survivable forms of cancer there is, if caught early enough. If not, one of the least. It's a fine line between life and death, happiness and tragedy."
The flame-haired radio DJ continued: "And I've got to say I'm in the middle of a prostate issue right now! I couldn't stop. I have not been able to stop since Christmas - peeing - or wanting to go. So I've gone to the doctor."
The 48-year-old star - who has daughter Jade from a previous relationship and sons Eli and Noah with third wife Natasha Shishmanian - confessed, however, that he'd "scared" himself "half to death" before making an appointment by researching his problem online.
He shared: "I've done all the internet stuff that you shouldn't do, I've gone on the internet, scared myself half to death, then gone to see the doctor. And we really should do it the other way round. However, I'm in the middle of the tests."
Chris also claimed he'd avoided being tested in the past, adding: "I've completely changed my tune on this over the last couple of years. So there you go. If you are worried about anything just go and sort yourself out - if not for you, for your family.

"Having the week bookmarked with some of our most iconic characters on Graham's sofa and Zoe's live aftermath show coming direct from Albert Square as the dust is just settling, elevates this into the biggest week ever for 'EastEnders' fans old and new."
