Denise Van Outen is joining 'EastEnders'.
The 40-year-old actress will make her debut on the BBC One soap this spring and is sure to bring more drama to the Walford-set series as her character is tipped to become romantically involved with a leading male.
Although the show's bosses have refused to name names, they have ensured fans that Denise's arrival in Albert Square will "send sparks flying".
The blonde beauty couldn't contain her excitement at becoming part of the cast and is delighted her appearance will coincide with the show's 30th anniversary.
She said: "I'm really excited to be joining EastEnders as I've been a fan of the series for years.
"This year marks the show's 30th anniversary, so it feels even more special to be part of the celebration."
'EastEnders' bosses are equally thrilled that Denise has agreed to guest star "for a few episodes" having already turned down three previous offers to join the soap in the past.
However, the 30th anniversary celebrations - which will be marked by a set of week-long live shows and include the long-anticipated unveiling of Lucy Beale's murderer and the return of EastEnders legend Barbara Windsor for one episode - seem to have swayed her decision.
Executive Producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: "It was only a matter of time before Denise Van Outen walked onto the Square.
'We cannot wait to have Denise join us for a few episodes, where she will definitely make her presence felt."

The actor - who was born with a rare form of dwarfism known as SED - explained to Radio Times magazine: "I can juggle a little bit, but I'm very good at balancing, because in life I've had to do a lot if it. Sam Faiers "can't wait" to have children.
The 24-year-old star admits she's keen to have a baby of her own after her sister Billie gave birth to her and her fiance Greg Shepherd's daughter Nelly last year.
Quizzed on whether she wants to be married before having children, Sam said: "Not necessarily, no. I love babies and I can't wait to have my own, but I really don't know what order it'll come in."
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' beauty also confessed she's already thought of potential names for her future children but is keeping them to herself so none of her friends and family can copy them.
She laughed: "I have loads but I'm not saying a word because I know people will steal them!"
Sam has recently set up her own health and fitness website and sees celebrity mother Jennifer Lopez - who has twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony - as her ultimate body idol.
The blonde star added to Now magazine: "Jennifer Lopez. She's got it all going on, hasn't she? She's completely toned."

Phil Tufnell and Dom Parker have been eliminated from 'The Jump'.
The 48-year-old cricketer and 50-year-old star of observational documentary series 'Gogglebox' are the first celebrities to have been removed from the winter sports competition after losing their respective events in this evening's programme (01.02.15).
Phil was beaten by just 0.05 seconds by 'The Only Way is Essex' star Joey Essex in the skeleton event before failing to beat former English rugby player Mike Tindall's distance as they competed in a final ski jump.
On discovering he had been knocked out of the Channel 4 programme during the first show, Phil revealed he found the whole experience to be extremely frightening.
Speaking to host Davina McCall he said: "I've had a great time... not really it's been terrifying!"
In the second round, Dom fought against 'Jackass' star Steve-O in the skeleton and lost out leading to another live ski jump against 28-year-old ex-JLS member, JB Gill.
After performing the stunt, Dom told Davina, "He's got it in the bag, hasn't he!" before it was revealed he had only managed to travel a distance of nine metres while JB had landed a 14.5 metre stunt.
The second episode of the terrifying show - which is being broadcast from Innsbruck in Austria - will air tomorrow evening (02.02.15), and will see the female contestants, Ashley Roberts, Chloe Madeley, Heather Mills, Jodie Kidd, Louise Hazel, Louise Thompson, Stacey Solomon and Lady Victoria Hervey battle to keep their places in the competition.

The stars of 'Coronation Street' want a public memorial service to be held for Anne Kirkbride.
The late actress - who played Diedre Barlow on the ITV soap - was laid to rest in a private funeral, attended by a handful of her former co-stars on Tuesday (27.01.15) but they are now rallying for a public memorial to take place through which others can pay their respects.
Series bosses have said they will back the sevice if its what her husband David Beckett, 62, also wants.
According to The Sun newspaper, one said: "Everything is still so raw for David. Nobody will do anything until he decides what he wishes to do."
Sue Nicholls, 71, who plays Audrey Roberts, added: "If a memorial service was arranged the place would be packed, with others paying their respects outside. She was loved so much."
The 'Coronation Street' legend died following a battle with cancer on January 19 and was laid to rest in a "small send-off" at an undisclosed location in the North West, with castmates William Roache, Kate Ford and Beverley Callard joining her husband, other family members and close friends for the service.
A source previously said: "Anne was always a private person and wanted a small send-off. That was Anne -- she didn't want a fuss."
Anne had reportedly left instructions about which cast members she wanted at the service, and those who were unable to attend the small funeral are now said to be hoping to celebrate her life with a second memorial service at a later date.

Simon Cowell collapsed after being hypnotised by a dog.
The 55-year-old music mogul - who stars as a judge on ITV variety show 'Britain's Got Talent'- is reported to have passed out during the auditions stages of the competition after staring into a pup's eyes.
Simon got up on stage at Manchester's Lowry Theatre on Friday (30.01.15) to meet the German Spitz named Princess after her owner claimed she could hyponitise people with just a glance.
On returning to his seat, the star told fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams he felt unwell and, shortly after the cameras stopped rolling, fell slumped over the table.
The owner was called back and brought Princess onto the stage to wake Simon up.
A show source told The Sun newspaper: "It was the freakiest moment we've ever had."
The TV producer wasn't the only celebrity to fall victim to Princess' hypnotic gaze.
Hosts Ant and Dec also found themselves forgetting the number seven as they counted to ten together shortly after looking into the dog's eyes.

Georgia May Foote is looking for her "dream part".
The 'Coronation Street' actress is set to leave the ITV soap later this year and claims she isn't planning to pursue jobs based on the reputation of a show but rather on the quality of character.
She explained: "It's not necessarily about the type of show, but more a role that I'd find intriguing and could get excited about. I'm looking for the dream part rather than the dream show."
The 23-year-old star admits she intends to audition for acting roles in the United States as well but insists she won't get sucked into the cliché of trying to "break Hollywood".
She shared: "TV's amazing, but to do a film would be unbelievable. That's my dream. I'm going to LA for auditions, but now you can also audition by video and send it over, so I'll probably do as many LA tryouts as British ones. I'd love to go over there when the time is right and try it, but I'm not going to say I want to break Hollywood."
The brunette beauty is also looking forward to doing more modelling work since being signed by Select Model Management.
Georgia added to Now magazine: "Acting is my main focus, yes, but I'm so excited about modelling a bit more. Its another avenue for me and an amazing opportunity."

Peter Kay's 'Phoenix Nights' live show has reportedly been cancelled after Ted Robbins collapsed on stage.
The 59-year-old actor and comedian was performing as his character Den Perry for the show's opening night at Manchester's Phones4U Arena on Saturday (31.01.15) when he fell to the floor with the stage curtain immediately being dropped.
Co-stars are then reported to have come on stage to inform the 20,000-strong audience the incident was not part of the performance, and that the show had been cancelled for the evening.
BBC journalist Ian Shoesmith was in the crowd and said: "Everyone initially thought it was part of the act, but then my wife said: 'No, this is real, this is serious.'
"They brought the curtain down and then someone said everyone had to leave the building as there was an emergency going on. There was just a stunned silence."
The venue has now released a statement saying the broadcaster is in a "stable condition" and is receiving treatment.
The Manchester Arena Twitter account said: "Official venue statement: Ted Robbins collapsed during the performance of Phoenix Nights Live this evening at @McrArena . . .
". . . He's been taken by ambulance to hospital and is in a stable condition."
Among the crowd was the star's sister, Kate Robbins, who tweeted following the incident to confirm he had been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
She wrote: "My brother Ted was taken ill on stage. He's been taken to a local hospital.
"Thank you for all your good wishes and concern. He's a fighter."
The stage version of the comedy sitcom was originally set to run for only two dates to raise money for fundraising campaign Comic Relief, but it was later extended to a 15-show run due to overwhelming demand.
'Coronation Street' actress Kym Marsh is among stars who have sent their well-wishes to the actor and BBC radio presenter, tweeting, "Just heard about Ted Robbins!!! Really hope he's ok." while 'This Morning' host Eamonn Holmes wrote he "will say a prayer."
