Emily Blunt did "a little dance" after receiving a compliment from Meryl Streep.
The 31-year-old actress was described as "best young actress I've worked with in some time, perhaps ever" by the 65-year-old star after appearing alongside her in 2006 movie 'Devil Wears Prada', and the brunette beauty still cannot believe the Hollywood legend held her in such high regard.
She said: "I still die [over that compliment]. It was a little bit mind-blowing.
"I think my hair blew back, actually, when I read it. You do a little dance and then you realise you've got to try and live up to it."
Emily stars opposite Meryl again in her latest movie, musical fantasy film 'Into the Woods', and while the star admitted the role is the "best part" she's ever landed, the 'Looper' actress wishes she was better at singing.
She explained: "Well, obviously I still think I could have been better at the singing, you know, but it's the best part I've ever been given.
"It has everything in it that you could want as an actor: conflict and humor and emotion and empathy. And poignancy. All of it."
Emily - who plays the baker's wife in the motion picture - was pregnant with her first child, Hazel, who is now 10 months old, while shooting the movie but admits it got a bit tricky to hide her baby bump during the latter part of the filming process.
Speaking to Edit magazine, the star - who has been married to John Krasinski since 2010 - added: "In a way, the part was the only one in Hollywood I could still have done, because it didn't matter if I was a bit big - the baker's wife eats a lot of buns.
"But by the end of the shoot I was about seven months [pregnant] and hiding behind every tree in the woods."

Brad Pitt was rejected from jury service for being too much of a distraction.
The 'Fury' actor was summoned to a courtroom in Los Angeles last Friday (12.12.14) along with several other potential jurors, but was turned away because he was deemed too much of a disturbance for the legal proceedings because of his celebrity status, much to the disappointment of the 51-year-old star.
An attorney in the city, William R. Lively, explained jurors are selected using a random process meaning their status as a celebrity is not picked up until they arrive at court.
He said: "Like any other potential juror, Brad would have received a jury summons that required him to travel downtown and be interviewed by the judge or attorneys in what is called voir dire.
"This is a system of examination whereby both the prosecution and defense have the opportunity to object to a particular juror.
"In most cases as soon as it's discovered that a potential juror is a major celebrity, that person is dismissed, but that is not always the case."
Unfortunately for the hunk, - who has recently been attending premieres for his wife Angelina Jolie's new movie 'Unbroken' while she suffers with chicken pox - the professional said Brad's reactions could cause the verdict to be skewed which ultimately meant he was unable to perform his civic duty.
He told MailOnline: "You just can't stick Brad Pitt in a jury box and expect 11 jurors to ignore him.
"It's only natural that those jurors would be watching to see how Brad reacts to what's being said and that they could be influenced by his opinions once the jury goes behind closed doors to render a verdict."
A source added: "Brad was hoping he might get picked to serve on a short case, but the problem was, he would actually be required to serve for as long as it took for the case to be decided."

Stephen Belafonte would "take a bullet" for Mel B.
The 39-year-old producer - whose marriage to the former Spice Girls singer is rumoured to be on the rocks - has blasted claims he has assaulted or cheated on his spouse but admitted they have been arguing.
He said: "I had nothing to do with hurting my wife. I did not touch Mel. I didn't hit her. I wasn't cheating or anything. There was no girl involved.
"How long have you been married? How many arguments do you have? I find it really sad nobody would like for Mel, or us, to be happy.
"There has to be an attitude of, 'Oh, they got into a fight so now let's go for the jugular'. Everyone gets in arguments. And then stuff calms down and you think about your life.
"You think about where you've been and what you've been through.
"I love my wife. I care about my wife. I'd take a bullet for her.
"I've got to consistently grow a little bit. But I do want to get old with my wife and have grandchildren."
Stephen - who has three-year-old daughter Madison with Mel and 10-year-old Giselle from a previous relationship - also dismissed criticism over his decision to return to Los Angeles at the weekend while his wife was still receiving hospital treatment for exhaustion.
He told The Sun newspaper: "How many times in life have I gone somewhere and Mel's stayed somewhere else?
At the end of the day, I have children and I have a wife.
"I protect my wife and my children with my life. That's just the way it is. It doesn't matter if people think I'm a good guy or a bad guy."

Jon Hamm finds working in the UK "civilised".
The 43-year-old actor spent time in London shooting TV show 'Black Mirror' and appreciated having regular working hours that didn't disrupt his social life.
He said: "You have an end of the day that is resolute. It's civilised.
"In the States, we go until the work is done or until you fall over, and it is a disaster. You cannot have plans. You just work until you stop working."
"[In London], you work until five o'clock and then you go home, and you go to a hotel and have dinner and see a show. It is awesome."
While the 'Mad Men' star has enjoyed the working hours of the UK, he admits he is struggling to navigate his way around London without using his mobile phone.
He told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: "I know a couple of neighbourhoods very well and I certainly would get lost if I didn't have Google Maps on my phone. I love technology."
Jon - who is in a relationship with Jennifer Westfeldt - recently revealed he refuses to use social media as he wants to engage directly with his loved ones, but admits he is obsessed with the internet and playing 'Candy Crush Saga'.
He said: "I thought, 'I'm not paying enough attention to friends and family' so adding another layer felt counter-productive.
"That said, 'I'm probably on the internet too much and I've been working my way through the ridiculous time-waster that is 'Candy Crush'. I think I'm on level 280, which is just absurd."

Eddie Redmayne had a "meltdown" when he started filming 'The Theory of Everything'.
The 32-year-old actor - who plays physicist Stephen Hawking in the biopic - struggled with his first day filming because he had to shoot several scenes at different stags of the professor's battle with degenerative condition motor neurone disease.
He explained: "The first scene was at the start of the film, pre-diagnosis. The second was when Stephen was using two walking sticks.
"By the third, he was in his second wheelchair. I was terrified.
"It was like I'd been asked to write a sentence in permanent ink starting with one word at the beginning, one at the middle and one at the end.
"I was having a complete meltdown - it was four in the morning, I was getting picked up at five, and I hadn't slept. I was thinking, 'I can't start a job like this.'"
And Eddie had to take some time off after shooting wrapped in order to "remember" who he was again.
He told Mr. Porter magazine: "After inhabiting so many different personas, both mentally and physically, I suppose I needed to take some time off just to remember who I am."
Eddie has been nominated for Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and Golden Globe awards for his role in the movie and is tipped for an Academy Award nomination but insists he didn't accept the part for the recognition.
He said: "Please don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful compliment. I just hope it serves to get the story out to more people."

James Corden is taking advice from Jimmy Fallon and Piers Morgan in preparation to host 'The Late Late Show'.
The 36-year-old presenter will take over the CBS 12.30am slot in March 2015 and revealed Jimmy has urged him to be himself when he takes over the slot from long-running host Craig Ferguson.
He explained: "He just said be yourself. He said you can be someone else once a week or twice a week, but five nights a week? You can't do it. The audience will know."
The comedian also took advice from former 'Piers Morgan Live' presenter and fellow Brit, Piers Morgan, who encouraged the star to not take criticism to heart because there will always be viewers who are not fans.
Recalling the advice, he told Shortlist magazine: "Piers just said, 'You need to be aware that this is a piece of TV real estate America has a lot of ownership over, so it'll be tough. People will come after you, but if you can stay strong and get through it, you'll have a blast.' "
Speaking about his vision for the programme, the 'Gavin & Stacey' actor confessed he has huge ambitions to create a show which will captivate viewers across the country, in the same way British entertainment show 'TFI Friday' did when it was broadcast during the 1990s.
He added: "I want to make a warm, silly, fun show that will hopefully talk to a generation in the US that may not have found what feels like 'their' show yet. I'd like people to think, 'I don't know what's going to happen tonight,' the way you and I used to when 'TFI Friday' was on.
"It wasn't about the guests; I watched it because I felt like part of the gang, you know?"

Cameron Diaz wanted "a couple of years" to prepare for her singing parts in 'Annie'.
The 42-year-old actress portrays evil Miss Hannigan in a remake of the 1982 classic movie but she despises being a "bad" singer and would've loved to have had a lot longer to get her vocals into tip-top condition for the role.
She said: "I love singing but I hate how bad a singer I am, but I try.
"I would have liked a couple of years to prepare for the role, which is what it required!
"But, I was surrounded by the best professionals and teachers and they rallied around me and gave me a voice that was usable."
Singing wasn't the only thing to worry about on the set for Cameron as she also revealed she lost a fortune while filming the movie because her children co-stars made her put $1 into a jar every time she swore in front of them.
Speaking on 'The Graham Norton Show', she quipped: "Look, they are in an adult situation and if they don't like my language, then don't f**king show up! And second, these kids learn early.
"They run a scam and get all the adults scared and they are like, 'You can't swear in front of me and if you do, you have to put money in the jar because I'm a kid,' and they walk away with hundreds of dollars!
"You can't even whisper a swear word without them saying, 'You owe me a dollar.' They have a pile of cash when they leave and I am like, 'No, no, no, I don't play that.' "

Brad Pitt and George Clooney celebrated their recent marriages over dinner.
The 'Fury' actor, who wed Angelina Jolie in France in August, and his 53-year-old pal, who tied the knot with human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in Venice in September, got together at George's LA mansion with their spouses as they had been unable to attend each other's nuptials due to their busy schedules.
The 'Monuments Men' star spared no expense for the foursome's get together, calling in the head chef from his favourite restaurant to whip up his guests a spectacular seafood dinner.
He even shipped over wine from Brad and Angelina's vineyard on their Château Miraval estate in the south of France.
A source said: "The head chef from George's favourite restaurant, The Musso & Frank Grill, cooked up a huge meal for the two couples with oysters and lobsters.
"As a nice touch George had shipped over some of Angelina's wine from her and Brad's French vineyard."
Brad, 51, and George - who starred together in the 'Ocean's Eleven' franchise - are said to have been "desperate" to get together after missing out on each other's big days.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "They had been desperate to get something in the diary since George's Venice bash."
He even invited Brad and Angelina's kids, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, and shared some of the luxurious wedding cake left over from their nuptials which took place at Venice's Ca' Farsetti palace.
The source said: "Brad and Angie's children were invited over as well and got to enjoy some wedding cake from their six-tier creation from Sweet Lady Jane in Beverly Hills."
