Drew Barrymore is "working her ass off" to lose her baby weight.
The 'Blended' actress - who has daughters Olive, two, and Frankie, seven months, with husband Will Kopelman - insists she isn't rushing to shed the excess pounds and gets frustrated by women who claim they snapped back into shape straight after giving birth.
She said: "It took nine months to build. It should take nine months to get off. I wanted fettuccini alfredo. I didn't want a barbell.
"I was like, 'Don't talk to me about how fast and fabulous you are or it came off. That was not my experience. I'm having to work my ass off until I even think about getting it off."
The 39-year-old beauty admits it can be tough juggling the needs of two young children.
She told People magazine: "It's a balance of who gets the attention, and it's a tightrope.
"But it's also a wonderful, amazing journey to raise two kids that love each other."
The 'Whip It' star adores being a mother and says family is the "driving force" behind everything she does.
She said: "It's amazing. It's the driving force behind how I live my life."

Mel B insists she is a "fighter".
The 39-year-old star's marriage to husband Stephen Belafonte is said to be on the rocks as a flurry of rumours about their relationship fly, but despite the apparent turmoil in her life Mel won't ever let her problems beat her.
In an interview with Grazia magazine conducted before her marital issues, she said: "I am a fighter, I'm proud of what I've achieved, not just in my career but as a woman. I've been through many ups and downs and I've come out of it a stronger person."
Mel also revealed her experiences as a single parent toughened her resolve and made her understand what's most important to her.
The 'X Factor' judge had to raise her 15-year-old daughter Phoenix alone after her first marriage to Jimmy Gulzar ended in 2000, but she insists it was a positive experience.
Mel - who is also mother to Angel, seven, from her romance with Eddie Murphy, and three-year-old Madison, her child with Stephen - said: "I think being a single parent for six years with Phoenix, and living in LA by myself made me much stronger. It made me realise what life is about. It's not just about you, it's about your children and having the right influences around them."

Mary McCartney didn't know her mother was going to die.
The 45-year-old daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney - who died of cancer in April 1998 aged 56 - knew her mum had been diagnosed with breast cancer but wasn't prepared for her to pass away quite so suddenly.
She said: "I didn't know my mother was going to die.
"When I took those last pictures of her I did them because she was doing a cookbook and we were like, 'Let's do pictures!'
"Fortunately for her she went through her treatment for a couple of years and, yes, it was aggressive treatment, but she was quite lucky in that she looked quite well.
"She managed to go horse riding and be up and about until two days before she passed away. And then she just went quickly. But before that, we weren't living with, 'We know you've got six months to live' or anything like that."
Mary, who works as a portrait photographer, admits she used to dislike talking about her late mother's condition but over the years she has grown to "acknowledge" talking about it.
She added to The Times newspaper: "I didn't want to acknowledge it in case it made something bad happen, but actually now I'm quite upfront about it.
"I'm more, 'It's rubbish but we might as well talk about it.' "

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star gave birth to the couple's third child - who was subsequently named Jeffrey Robert Disick - on December 14 and the rapper French has been quick to offer his congratulations to the pair on the latest member of their family.
In a handwritten note, the 30-year-old star said: "Congradulations on Baby #3. I wish u could have named him 'Haann' or 'Daddy.' I wish you all the blessings in the world! (sic)"
The 'Pop That' hitmaker signed the card by saying: "Love, Uncle French."
The note has been shared with the world by Scott on his Instagram page and is accompanied by a caption that reads: "Classic, thanks."
French and Scott became good friends over the summer months when the rapper was dating Khloe Kardashian.
A number of the reality TV family attended his birthday bash in November in Los Angeles.
And although French and Khloe, also 30, have not been seen together in a number of weeks, it appears relations between Scott - who also has son Mason, five, and daughter Penelope, two, with Kourtney - and French remain healthy.

Stevie Wonder has become a father for the ninth time.
The 64-year-old singer and his girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy - who gave birth to his eighth child last year - have welcomed daughter Nia into the world, his spokesperson has confirmed to Us Weekly magazine.
No further details are available about the new arrival.
The 'Superstition' hitmaker recently laughed off reports Tomeeka was expecting triplets, but confirmed they were expecting a girl and had already chosen her name.
He said: "I got, how many, 22 kids? t's not true. The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, born in December, [and her] name is going to be Nia, which is 'purpose'."
Stevie's spokesperson confirmed her name means purpose, which is "one of the seven principles of Kwanzaa."
It was previously claimed Stevie thinks he is a better father now he is older.
The legendary crooner - who has been married twice and has children with five different women - is said to have told friends he hasn't always been available for his kids when they needed him, but as he has grown older, he has developed closer bonds with his brood, who range in age from one to 39 years old.
A source said: "Aisha [his oldest] enjoys her dad quite a bit, they get together and eat and joke.
"He's been helping [his son] Mumtaz with some of Mumtaz's music and he always talks about how talented his son is.
"He knows that being a father is a full-time job and now that he's a little older, he feels like he's up to the task and he doesn't want to let any of them down."

Sienna Miller thinks Keira Knightley will be a "perfect" mother.
The 'American Sniper' actress - who has two-year-old daughter Marlowe with partner Tom Sturridge - insists she won't be offering any advice to her friend, who is expecting her first child with husband James Righton, because she will be an "amazing" parent and doesn't need help.
She told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "We've spoken a lot and I know she will be amazing.
"She doesn't need any advice. She will be perfect."
Sienna, 32, recently revealed she was "overwhelmed" by how natural it felt when she became a mother.
She said: "I was overwhelmed by how normal it felt. It was like, 'There you are - that's what I have been missing.' Like we're both in on something only we know. An amazing sense of being complicit with a little being."
Though Sienna insists her life with Tom, 29, and Marlowe is very "normal", she is adamant their day-to-day domesticity isn't boring.
She said: "It's very normal, very kind of still.
"We go to the country. I like to cook and go to Whole Foods. I have a [Newfoundland[ dog - not a dog but a bear - who when I walk pulls me over flat on my face into the mud.
"My baby pukes on me. It's life. It's very much a normal life."
"I really don't want to sound boring. It's completely crazy and illicit behind closed doors."

Ellie Goulding will spend Christmas Eve (24.12.14) serving food to homeless people.
The charitable singer will help out at a shelter all day and insists it's important for her to give something back to those less fortunate than her.
Speaking before her Streets of London benefit show at the Shepherd's Bush O2 Academy on Wednesday night (17.12.14), she revealed: "I'm volunteering all day at a shelter. I've done it for a few years. It's fun and part of the reason I run my gigs."
The 27-year-old pop star has helped out at the shelter for several years and says it's her way of trying to give people a little bit of Christmas spirit.
She added: "It's not just people who are homeless in the shelters but also those who are lonely and don't have someone to spend time with. I was chatting to a guy last year who was a musician from Africa who had found himself homeless. The thought of someone not having a Christmas..."
Ellie - who is dating Dougie Poynter from McBusted - feels sympathetic towards those without homes because it is something which could have happened to her if she had been unsuccessful in her career.
She said: "It's so scary because it happens so quickly and to anyone. It could be any of us.
"I was pretty much by myself in London. I had a room but not a family home - I had to go back if anything went wrong. My situation was a luxury."
Following a day spent working at the shelter, the 'Burn' singer said she will be hosting Christmas Day (25.12.14) at her new home and will be joined by her 27-year-old beau Dougie for the celebration.
She explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm scarily hosting this year. I'm veggie and Dougie is veggie, so I'm in charge of desserts.
"A while ago, I got a new house so I'm finally going to move into it and will host it there."

Robert Pattinson is keen to buy a new home in north London - but will only do so if the property has a dance-floor.
The 28-year-old star has made the stipulation on account of his pop star girlfriend FKA twigs, telling the estate agent to look for a property with a sizeable dance space so the 26-year-old singer is able to rehearse her routines while at home.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Rob has asked for a high-spec Georgian home on four floors with high ceilings and wood floors.
"He's also asked for a space that could double up as a dance area because his girlfriend trained in dance and still likes to dance every day."
The 'Twilight' star currently lives in the Hollywood Hills, where he owns a two-bedroom property.
However, he is considering relocating to London - the city where he was born - in order to spend more time with his girlfriend and it's reported that he's thinking of making an offer on a property in the trendy area of Islington on a property that is worth in the region of £6 million.

Noel Gallagher embarrassed his daughter in front of Harry Styles.
The 'In the Heat of the Moment' rocker's 14-year-old daughter Anais - who he has with ex-wife Meg Matthews - is a big fan of One Direction but she was left mortified after her dad couldn't resist highlighting her crush when they ran into him in a cafe.
Anais told Grazia magazine: "Harry seems really nice. I was in a cafe and Harry came in. I'd been joking that I'd probably wet myself if 1D walked in.
"So my dad started kicking me under the table and shouted, 'Are you going to wet yourself now?' I literally died."
Model Anais thinks she has inherited characteristics from both her parents and shares her dad's dry sense of humour.
She said: "I've got the same dry northern humour as Dad and we've got the same eyebrows. But I've got Mum's energy and her outlook on the world."
Noel has previously been approached by Simon Cowell about being a judge on 'The X Factor' and Anais is still upset he turned it down.
She said: "I'm still a little bit upset I don't get to go every week. He would have been hilarious and scarier than Simon."
