Sir Ben Kingsley thinks it would be "artistic suicide" to do pantomime.
The 'Night At The Museum: Secret of The Tomb' star doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of legendary actors such as Sir Ian McKellen, who appeared in panto.
When asked if he had ever been tempted to do a musical comedy, he told London Live: "In Britain? It would be artistic suicide.
"You're trying to tell me that I look like Widow Twanky and I don't know whether to take that personally or not. This is bordering on being quite insulting. I could really get quite upset."
Meanwhile, Sir Ben - who was knighted by Britain's Queen Elizabeth in 2002 - has recently admitted that the knighthood helped him feel accepted in a way his mother, Anna Goodman, never did.
He said previously: "My mother refused to acknowledge my knighthood, which I found bitterly hurtful.
"The wonderful woman who is the Queen and who is almost like a mum had said, 'We accept you and love what you do'. But my mother refused to acknowledge it had taken place. She was embarrassed and bitter and jealous."
He added: "She had a circuit missing and that made her distant and somewhat baffled by her four children, two girls and two boys. Thinking perhaps it would all go away. Adulthood? Whoa. She couldn't handle it."

Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger were "really affectionate" while Christmas shopping in Beverly Hills, California.
The couple reportedly "appeared happy and seemed in great moods" as they bought gifts at a number of shops on Rodeo Drive on Tuesday (16.12.14).
An eyewitness said they walked hand-in-hand, and also told E! News: "They are really affectionate with one another. They look like a really happy couple."
Meanwhile, the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker is planning to surprise her new beau with a unique gift.
A source told Us Weekly she has been writing and recording a new song dedicated to the 21-year-old student, who is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.
The duo's romance is said to be getting serious, but they declined to pose for photos together after showing up to Brooks Brother's shopping event benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Saturday (13.12.14).
A source recently said: "They were holding hands and didn't want to take photos together. They were very nice and took photos with the DJ who is Oscar Adler."
Miley - who ended her engagement to Liam Hemsworth in September 2013 - and Patrick were introduced by mutual friends, but "couldn't be more different" to each other.
A friend previously said: "They started out as friends and then segued into more."

Bruce Jenner's first ex-wife supports his decision to change his appearance.
Chrystie Scott, who was married to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star for nine years before their split in 1981, says she and their two children, Burt, 36, and Cassandra, 34, don't care that the Olympic gold medallist has grown his hair long and was recently spotted wearing red nail polish.
She said: "I support him in whatever he chooses to do. I just want him to be happy."
Chrystie claims she and Bruce, who split from his third ex-wife Kris Jenner in October 2013 after 23 years of marriage, are still close.
She told Star magazine: "We see each other on and off at family event. He is a very proud and present grandfather. We all support him."
Kris, 59, previously branded rumours Bruce wants to become a woman "silly."
Earlier this year, she said: "They've been saying that since the '70s, so you'd think it'd be cooked by now."
The former athlete, who underwent an operation to reduce the size of his Adam's apple earlier this year and has had other cosmetic surgeries in the past, also has daughters Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 17, with Kris, as well as sons Brandon, 33, and Brody, 31, with ex-wife Linda Thompson.

Wladimir Klitschko says the birth of their first daughter, Kaya, on Tuesday (09.12.14) was one of the highlights of his "great year."
Alongside an image of himself on Instagram, the Ukrainian boxer, 38, wrote: "A review on the year: The birth of my daughter, two successful championship defences and many other achievements on the way. It was a great year and I'm looking forward to 2015. I'm ready to take on new challenges!"
Shortly after Kaya's birth, the 'Nashville' actress and Wladimir said they were "over the moon and madly in love" with her.

The 25-year-old beauty also previously spoke about her desire to start a family with her fiancé.
She said: "I've lived a very big life, and I don't feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother."

Seth Rogen has splashed out almost $8 million on a new home in Los Angeles.
The 32-year-old star, who is married to actress and charity worker Lauren Miller, bought a 10-acre ranch in the Hollywood Hills West in an off-market deal.
The property includes a three-bedroom, three-bathroom main house with an updated kitchen, a guesthouse, sports court, swimming pool, a natural waterfall and two streams.
There are also mature trees and trails surrounding the wood-shingle-clad main house, which built in 1955, according to the LA Times newspaper.
The ranch property was previously leased out for $10,500 a month last year and also includes a living room with a flagstone fireplace, flagstone floors, a den and nearly 3,500 square feet of living space.
News that the 'Super Bad' actor is set to move into a new home comes shortly after Seth was named the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.
The Canadian star earned $58 million between November 2013 and November 2014, according to People With Money.
But it hasn't been an easy week for the actor, as he and close pal James Franco have been forced to delay the release of their new movie, 'The Interview,' after hackers made threats against US cinemas that screen the film, which is about an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
In a statement, Sony said: "In light of the decision by the majority 'The Interview,' we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release.
"We are deeply saddened at this brazen effort to suppress the distribution of a movie, and in the process do damage to our company, our employees, and the American public."

Big Sean insists Ariana Grande isn't a diva.
The 26-year-old rapper says rumours his 21-year-old girlfriend demands to be carried everywhere are "ridiculous."
The 'Fire' hitmaker said: "They said she's a diva and she demands that she gets carried everywhere she goes. That don't even sound logical. No, man, she don't get carried. I remember I was with her one time and she got carried but it was 'cause her foot was bleeding. She busted her foot, like, you know, dancing and stuff."
When asked about the rumour again, he told New York-based radio station Power 105.1 FM's show 'The Breakfast Club': "That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous."
The 'Freaky' hitmaker, who confirmed he was dating the 'Love Me Harder' singer in October following months of rumours, is glad that they started off as friends several years ago.
Discussing how they first met at another radio show, he said: "When I met her, it was just cool, she was like, 'You, you know I like your music.' She was like, rapping 'Gang Bang.' She was like, 'I know the verse.' And she started rapping it. So we just linked up like that. We was hanging out a little bit and just, you know, was friends over the years. But I think that's the coolest way to do it.
"I don't like her because she's a pop princess. I like her 'cause of who she is. She's cool. She brings out the best in me."

Stephen Belafonte insists he "did not hit" Mel B.
The 39-year-old film producer, whose seven-year marriage to the 'X Factor' judge is said to be on "life support" following a string of explosive arguments, believes rumours surrounding their relationship status will be "gone in a second."
He said: "You'll see all the legal letters going out tomorrow. Everybody's been contacted by Mel's representative, all the papers, that said: 'I did not hit her, this isn't going on, that's not going on.' "
Addressing allegations he abused the former Spice Girls star, who is still recovering after being hospitalised with crippling stomach pains last Thursday (11.12.14), he also told MailOnline: "Who accused me of it, did she accuse me of it, the police, the hospital, who accused me of it? I thought when you beat someone up the police or the hospital or the person you beat up says it.
"No one has accused me of anything."
Stephen, who was charged with beating former girlfriend Nicole Contreras in 2007, also insists he isn't worried about his reputation, as it's "not the first time" he's been accused of being violent.
He said: "You can only re-mix ten things, ten ways, so many times."
Mel, 39, missed the 'X Factor' final in the UK last Saturday night (13.12.14) due to a mystery illness and sparked concern when viewers noticed bruises and scratches on her body when she returned to the show on Sunday night (14.12.14).
Stephen refused to comment when asked whether their marriage is over, but confirmed he is currently in San Diego.
He said: "I already said that on my Twitter."
A source previously claimed he never visited his wife in hospital and jetted back to California before she was discharged.
