Angelina Jolie admits she has been "bored and sloppy" in her career.
The 39-year-old star – who has six children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with husband Brad Pitt – always tries to listen to her instincts and thinks she can do anything she sets her mind to.
She said: "There have been times in my career when I’ve gotten bored and sloppy.
"But I’ve done my best to listen to my gut. Because I feel you can do whatever you want in this life. So long as you don’t hurt anybody, you can do anything."
Angelina famously doesn’t have a publicist or a manager and says she prefers to work "directly" with people so she can "speak for herself".
She told The Hollywood Reporter: "I had [a publicist] once, years ago — I didn’t like it.
"I like to work very directly with people. I don’t want somebody in the middle. I’d rather speak for myself."
The ‘Unbroken’ filmmaker she wouldn’t be upset if she stopped receiving work offers and would be content staying at home with her children.
She said: "I never had a plan for my life. I do what I want to do. And if suddenly tomorrow I couldn’t do anything, I could deal with that. I’d be happy at home being a mom."
