Noel Gallagher: Oasis won’t play Glastonbury

Noel Gallagher has "categorically" ruled out an Oasis reunion for Glastonbury 2016.
The High Flying Birds frontman insists there is no way he will be reuniting with his younger brother Liam on stage for the world famous festival held in Somerset, South West England, in June next year and urged fans not to "go down the bookies" based on rumours.
Talking to BBC Radio Two presenter Simon Mayo ahead of a live acoustic performance for the British station on Monday night (07.12.15), Noel said: "I can categorically state I won't be doing Glastonbury, so don't go down the bookies.
"Neither will, Beady Eye or any other off-shoot band that ever came from Oasis. I don't know what I'm doing but I'm not doing that.
"I'm gonna go to Glastonbury though, but won't be playing."
Following Oasis' split in August 2009, ex-Oasis guitarist Gem Archer joined Liam to form new group Beady Eye with fellow former Oasis members Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.
Although the rock 'n' roll siblings relationship has been strained since Noel, 48, quit the super-group following a fight with Liam, 43, hopes for
Oasis reforming were bolstered when Noel was joined on stage by Gem for an acoustic gig in front of just 200 people in Lincoln on Saturday night (05.12.15) and again in London on Monday evening.
In June, the 'Wonderwall' hitmakers topped a fan poll to find the band they would most like to see headline Glastonbury.
However, speaking about Gem joining him on stage for a series of acoustic gigs this month, Noel said it wouldn't be like "the old days."
He said: "Gem is back playing guitar for the time being. Not like the old old days, kind of the latter of the old days."
Meanwhile, tickets for Glastonbury sold out in just minutes when they went on sale in October this year.
Rumoured headliners include Coldplay, Adele - who has been confirmed to have had talks - The Stone Roses, Rihanna and Muse.

Motorhead’s Lemmy: Stop asking when I’ll die

Motorhead's Lemmy is "sick of the f****ing" question "are you going to die?".
The rocker - full name Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister - will turn 70 on Christmas Eve (24.12.15) and has insisted death isn't knocking at his door, and blasted fans who constantly quiz him over his ill health, saying he's "doing alright".
Hard-living Lemmy has suffered from various medical issues in recent years, being fitted with a pacemaker in 2013 and suffering a haematoma in 2014. He has had to cut back on his much-loved cigarettes and alcohol on medical advice.
The 'Ace of Spades' hitmaker said: "I'm sick of the f***ing, 'Are you going to die?' line of questioning. It's getting really old, that question. I'm alright. I'm going out there and doing my best. I have good days and bad days, but mostly I've been doing alright. The last tour of the States was very good."
Lemmy did admit his body is going "pear-shaped" from old age.
Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, the frontman added: "It's when you get to 60 when everything starts to go pear-shaped. Everyone thinks that becoming an older guy is easy, but you never consider it fully. It comes as quite a shock. But the thing is, I don't want to give in to it."
The comments come soon after the band - which also includes guitarist Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee - had to cancel two shows in Germany after Phil was hospitalized last month.
Taking to their official Twitter account to update fans, they said: "Our brother, Phil Campbell suddenly required hospital. He will be better soon. There is no choice other than to cancel our show in Berlin".
In September while on the road in the US, the metallers had to stop one concert after three songs and cancel another as Lemmy was suffering from altitude sickness.

The Osmonds: Rock stars got all the credit for our stage tricks

Pink Floyd, David Bowie and Mick Jagger stole The Osmonds' stage and video tricks and made them "cool".
The American band - which originally included Donny, Marie, Jimmy, Merrill, Jay, Alan and Wayne - say they never got the "credibility" they merited when they first came up with their pioneering ideas.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Jimmy Osmond - who now tours with remaining band members Merrill and Jay - said: "We were the pioneers of the pyrotechnics because we always produced pyro shows and we'd have flash pots and Co2 in all of our videos. And again, never any credibility for it. And then Pink Floyd comes out."
The group once "flew Donny on cable" at a gig in London's Earl's Court, but again, feel they didn't get the credit they deserved for the innovation.
Although it's a common theme in today's stadium gigs, back then the 'Crazy Horses' singers - who play the 'Andy Williams Christmas Spectacular starring The Osmonds' at the O2 on December 16 - were annoyed by the subsequent reaction to their onstage antics.
Jay, 60, said: "They said we were too slick. And then Mick Jagger comes out and does the same thing about a year later."
Jimmy, 52, added: "That (Donny on cable) was before anybody else did it. And everybody thought it was cheesy when we did it.
"But when David Bowie did it everybody thought it was earth changing. And then Mick Jagger did it!"

Eagles of Death Metal join U2 on stage in Paris

Eagles of Death Metal played their first gig in Paris last night (07.12.15) since the terrorism attacks in the French capital last month.
The American rock band took to the stage to perform at the end of a U2 concert at the AccorHotels Arena, less than a month after the deadly attacks during their on-stage performance.
According to various Twitter users, Bono invited the band to join them, saying: "They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, we'd like to offer them ours tonight."
During the widely-anticipated collaboration, the bands performed a cover of Patti Smith's 'People Have The Power', before U2 gave way and allowed Eagles Of Death Metal to close the show with their own track 'I Love You All The Time'.
U2 performed at the same venue the previous night, and used their gig to pay tribute to the victims of terrorist attacks around the world.
Addressing the crowd on Sunday evening (06.12.15), Bono said: "We stand together with the families who lost their loved ones in Paris. We stand together with families in San Bernardino. We stand together with families in Beirut and Istanbul. We stand together before those with false ideologies of the god they serve."

D.I.D record ‘miserable’ Christmas song

D.I.D have made "a miserable" Christmas song.
The alt-rockers - formerly known as Dog Is Dead - have penned and recorded the track 'TV Christmas' and head Grinch, Rob Milton, revealed it has always been his "personal goal" for many years to create a gloomy festive track.
Vocalist Rob is joined in the group by Joss Van Wilder, Daniel Harvey, Lawrence 'Trev' Cole, Rob 'Paul Roberts' White, and is really "excited" for people's reactions to the track.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We've done a Christmas song, 'TV Christmas', which is really exciting for us, because it's been my personal goal to write a really miserable Christmas song for the past four years. I always left it too late but now I've done it and I'm really excited it's out."
However, the single comes paired with an even more "melancholy" track called 'Heavy Cloud' and both will feature on the band's debut album due out in 2016.
Speaking about the song, they explained: "'Heavy Cloud' is probably the most introspective and melancholy single we've released. The song is basically about the weight of anxiety, acceptance and moving forward. Collectively it's one of the bands favourite songs from the album and a nod to which direction we are heading in sonically."
Meanwhile, ironically the rockers felt compelled to change their name from morbid Dog Is Dead because they are "big dog lovers".
Rob added: "We wanted a fresh outlook really and wanted to come back and do our own thing differently. The fans will still call us what we want, but we made up that name when we were like 15 years old for a school talent show and we're all big dog lovers so it doesn't bode well."

Sigma ‘never expected’ to perform on The X Factor

Sigma "never expected" to be invited to perform on 'The X Factor'.
The British drum and bass duo - which consists of Joe Lenzie and Cameron Edwards - performed their recent hit 'Coming Home' featuring Rita Ora on the talent show last week and admitted they never imagined they would one day be on one of the biggest talent shows in the world.
Asked what their highlight of 2015 was at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball with Cocoa Cola on Sunday (06.12.15), Cameron told BANG Showbiz: "'The X Factor' for me. It was something we never expected to do. Simon (Cowell) was really complimentary."
The pair were thrilled to meet the music mogul - who gave their track his blessing - and joked that while they tried to give Simon a hug, he was actually very "formal" in return.
Cameron continued: "He was a really nice guy. He was like 'Guys, that song is a HIT.'
"He's very sort of square when he speaks to you. He's comes up to you and he's very formal."
The 'Changing' hitmakers are renowned for their upbeat dance anthems and confessed they'd love to collaborate with Adele next.
Quizzed on who they would like to work with out of 'Bad Blood' singer Taylor and the British songstress, Cameron said: "I'd collaborate with Adele over Taylor Swift definitely. Yeah we love her. Taylor's great though."
Meanwhile the duo released their debut album 'Life' on Friday (04.12.15) but Joe confessed it took a "back seat" because he was "so busy" with another exciting milestone last week.
The 28-year-old producer shared: "We're obviously really happy with the end product and the music. We've had quite a few tweets from people. It's all been a bit hectic and I've been moving house, so to be honest it's kind of taken a back seat. I've been so busy!"

U2 pay tribute to victims at Paris gig

U2 paid tribute to the victims of terrorist attacks around the world, at their concert in on Sunday (06.12.15).
The Irish rockers performed at AccorHotels Arena in the French capital - which was devastated by the deaths of 129 people killed during a series of shootings last month - and displayed the victims' names in blue, white and red on a large screen on the stage.
Addressing the crowd, Bono said: "We stand together with the families who lost their loved ones in Paris. We stand together with families in San Bernardino. We stand together with families in Beirut and Istanbul. We stand together before those with false ideologies of the god they serve."
U2 were due to play two shows in the city on November 14 and November 15 but had to cancel them when terrorists opened fire at an Eagles of Death Metal concert in the Bataclan theatre, killing 89 concert goers.
Afterwards, Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr. offered the US rockers use of their plane to exit the city, and bought them new phones after their devices were left inside the concert hall.
Back in Paris yesterday, it was rumoured that Eagles of Death Metal would make a surprise appearance on stage.
However, prior to Sunday's concert the 'Beautiful Day' rockers wrote on their website that this "is not the case" but they had another surprise guest in store.
U2 brought Patti Smith on stage and the 'Because The Night' singer duetted with them on hits 'Gloria', 'Bad' and 'People Have the Power'.
Meanwhile, Monday's concert 'U2: Innocence + Experience Live' will be aired on HBO in Paris at 9pm ET and more surprise guests appearing in the show have not been ruled out.
