Jamie Foxx to star as Mike Tyson in Martin Scorsese-directed biopic

Jamie Foxx is to star as Mike Tyson in a Martin Scorsese-directed biopic of the boxer.
The 47-year-old entertainer, who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of music icon Ray Charles in the 2004 film 'Ray', has confirmed he's set to assume the role of the controversial fighter, whose life and career has seen some dramatic highs and lows.
He shared: "I just went in with Paramount with Mike Tyson. So I'm going to do the Mike Tyson story."
The actor also revealed Scorsese will be in charge of the project, which had been rumoured for some time.
He recalled his meeting with the movie studio, suggesting it was incredible "to be in the same room pitching Mike Tyson to Paramount ... Mike Tyson is on one side, I'm on the other side and doing Mike Tyson at the same time. And Martin Scorsese at the helm".
Scorsese previously directed the acclaimed boxing movie 'Raging Bull', which starred Robert De Niro as Jake LaMotta, the former World Middleweight Champion.
He told New York's Power 105 radio station: "This will be the first boxing movie that Martin Scorsese has done since Raging Bull."

Paul Feig undecided on Ghostbusters theme tune

Paul Feig is still to decide whether to include the 'Ghostbusters' theme song in the all-female reboot.
The 52-year-old director is set to helm the eagerly-awaited new movie - which will feature Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon - and he admits he doesn't know whether to include the tune or not.
He confessed: "We have ways to bring it in that we're playing with, so we'll see.
"It's such an iconic thing that part of you goes, 'I don't want to change it,' but then another part of you wants to update it. It's one of the biggest questions we're faced with."
Feig also revealed he initially struggled to decide on the cast for the new movie.
He explained to E! Online: "It took me months to figure out that cast. It all seems so obvious now but if you could hear the combinations I had before that, you would think I was crazy."
Meanwhile, the director recently revealed he almost quit the project after being "inundated with hate" for making an all-female reboot.
He said: "I almost went, 'Maybe I should just not do this, maybe this is a bad idea'.
"The people that reach out to you most vociferously are the haters. This is the downside of the internet. Let's say you get bombarded by 500 people. Your Twitter feed is going to explode and you're like, 'F**k, the whole world's against me'. But then you go, 'Wait, that's 500 people'."

Hugh Jackman’s acting skills helped him find love

Hugh Jackman's acting talents helped him find love.
The 46-year-old star married Deborra-Lee Furness in 1996, after they met on the set of the TV prison drama 'Correlli', and Jackman thinks his on-screen image as a tough guy helped attract his wife, even though his real-life self is very different.
The Australian actor joked: "I'm really not my wife's type.
"It's lucky that I met her on this prison drama ['Correlli'] where I had tatts and the whole thing."
Meanwhile, Jackman, who stars alongside Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver in the new sci-fi movie 'Chappie', also confessed he's not very comfortable having to perform different accents in front of the camera.
However, he revealed that his wife - who's an actress, director and producer - is excellent at them, especially after she's had a few drinks.
Jackman - who has two adopted children with his wife, Oscar Maximillian and Ava Eliot - told KIISFM's Kyle & Jackie O Show: "I wouldn't say I'm great at accents.
"Deb, on the other hand, loves it. Every time she's drunk she's in an accent the entire time ... usually Scottish. Not that I condone drinking."

Bill and Ted 3 ‘is moving closer to being made’

Keanu Reeves "started watching the earliest cuts" of 'Bill & Ted 3' more than 12 months ago.
The much-discussed third instalment of the comedy franchise has been years in the making, but according to Reeves' co-star Alex Winter - who played Bill S. Preston Esq. in the original movies - it is nearing a reality.
Speaking at the SXSW Festival, Winter said his co-star - who appeared as Ted 'Theodore' Logan - is determined to get the film made, explaining: "He started watching the earliest cuts of this movie a year ago, and was just super into it.
"It's really funny, because I asked him and I could tell he was waiting for me to ask. Because he was like, 'Yeah. Duh.'"
The two original movies, 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' and 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey', debuted in 1989 and 1991 respectively, and Winter understands why fans are frustrated and skeptical about a third film being made.
He told Yahoo Movies: "We're trying to get the movie made... we're producing it and we're actively trying to get it made. We're not tired of it, but I think for our fans, we are eager to stop talking about and actually shoot the damn thing."

Kanye West to star in Zoolander 2

Kanye West is set to star in the 'Zoolander' sequel.
The rapper-and-designer will reportedly appear in the fashion spoof, which will see Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson return as models Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald, after his friend Will Ferrell suggested him for a part.
And Kanye is also requesting that his wife Kim Kardashian West be given a cameo or small part in the comedy movie.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kanye is friends with Will and appeared briefly in 'Anchorman 2' but he wanted to be in 'Zoolander 2' even more. It's very likely that Kim will also appear in some capacity."
Kanye and Kim are set to be in good company if they both feature in the film as Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Billy Zane and Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie Kloss are all going to be in the sequel.
Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Alessandra Ambrosio are also rumoured for cameos.
The movie - which will come 15 years after its predecessor - is being directed by Stiller and has been written by Jennifer Aniston's fiancé Justin Theroux and is due to hit cinemas in February 2016.

Sean Penn: Actors deserve high earnings

Sean Penn believes actors deserve their huge pay packets.
The 'Gunman' star hates being referred to as a celebrity rather than an actor as he sees himself as an artist and believes those actors who are dedicated to their craft deserve what they receive in return.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, he shared: "Look, I'm 54. Things aren't going to change in my lifetime. People aren't going to change. This media thing's not going to change by the time I'm dead. But when I look at what I'd like the arts to be, and the people who put their hearts out there on the line...
Yeah they get paid well if they do well! Sorry! You know? Hopefully they give some back! But what they do ... when it's worth something, it's worth a lot."
Sean - who is currently dating the face of J'adore Dior perfume, Charlize Theron - claims actors putting their names and faces to products is what leads to a lack of credibility in acting.
He explained: "I think the biggest culprit in all this is the artists. They have declared their own easy-to-com identity, which fame and money. I mean, you can't turn on the television without somebody selling you a watch. Or lipstick. Why? Why? For most, it contributes to them losing their way. For most."
Meanwhile, the 'Mystic River' actor insists that despite being one of the biggest names in Hollywood, he doesn't think he's changed all that much from when he was a young boy.
He added: "When I look back, in every important way, I'm still the same guy as I was when I was nine. If not six."

Shailene Woodley refuses to be hired for her name

Shailene Woodley refuses to be hired for her name.
The 23-year-old actress has confessed she is extremely picky when it comes to choosing her next roles and wants to be hired for her talent alone and not because of her celebrity status.
She said: "If I'm being hired simply because my name is a name, that doesn't feel good. That's like somebody buying a painting simply because of how much they're told it's worth, versus actually enjoying looking at that painting and feeling inspired by it."
The brunette beauty - who was propelled into the limelight after starring opposite George Clooney in the 2011 drama 'The Descendants' - added she would happily put her career on hold for five years until she found a role she could be passionate about.
Shailene told The Observer newspaper's News Review: "I have the luxury of having been an actor since I was five. So I know that nothing comes overnight and that you have to work really hard to be successful. I know if I don't work for five or six years, maybe it will be harder for me to get a film, but if I'm not booking films, I will bust my ass at acting class because if I'm still passionate about acting, why wouldn't I want to improve my craft."

Lily James’ character shrine

Lily James created a "shrine" to Cinderella.
The 25-year-old actress worked hard with director Sir Kenneth Branagh on creating a backstory for her fairytale alter ego but was "embarrassed" to let her friends see the results.
She said: "Ken wanted a backstory so he talked to me about stuff like, 'What does she have for breakfast? Does she sleep with the blinds open or closed?
"My wall at home was covered in pictures and quotes that made me think of her, so I woke up in the morning and saw her.
"I'd get really embarrassed when friends came round and saw my shrine to Cinderella."
After six auditions and two screen tests, Lily landed the title role in the live-action movie and admits she felt like a real "princess" when she tried on her ballgown for the first time.
She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I remember looking in the mirror and it just took my breath away - I felt like a princess."
And though she was nervous about the movie, which also stars Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter and Richard Madden, Lily refused to let her anxiety get the better of her.
She said: "I'm quite good at zoning out the stuff that isn't helpful."

David Gandy not confident he could pull off Fifty Shades role

David Gandy didn't think he was a good enough actor for 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
The British model confirmed he was approached to play Christian Grey - a role which went to Jamie Dornan - in the adaptation of E.L. James' raunchy novel but chose not to audition as he felt it was too big a part.
He said: "I was sent the script but didn't go along.
"I know there are a lot of guys who really wanted that role, and I love the idea of a challenge, but you have to be a very good actor to pull off that role. It's a big, big part."
While he didn't want the 'Fifty Shades' role, the 35-year-old hunk would like to venture into acting at some point.
He said: "I've been offered parts other guys would say yes to, but I just didn't fancy them.
"But I've read a couple of scripts I love, and if the right team came along I'd love to see them made."
Last year, David appeared in Jennifer Lopez's music video for 'First Love' and says the experience was "a real laugh".
He added to Red magazine: "It was never part of a plan to do a music video, but I knew her. She called me up and asked me personally."
