Zara Larsson says she’ll push for cheaper ticket tiers on her next tour after Bangkok prices spark backlash

Zara Larsson has suggested she will take action to try and get cheaper ticket prices for fans on her next tour after her Bangkok show came under fire.

The Lush Life hitmaker has spoken out over low ticket sales for her Midnight Sun tour concert at UOB LIVE, Emsphere on November 1, agreeing that the ticket prices, which range from £62.50 to £87, and £200 for VIPs, are excessive.

In a TikTok video regarding the noise around the Bangkok show, she said: “I agree, I think the tickets are very expensive. And even though they’re in line with the market for international shows in Bangkok, it doesn’t make them less expensive.”

The 28-year-old Swedish pop star has now suggested she will try and make some cheaper tickets available the next time she tours.

She added: “I really wish we had a cheaper entry tier so more people could come… For my next tour, I don’t think there’s any reason why I shouldn’t be a part of ticket pricing.”

Zara also told fans that she’s not the one profiting from the ticket prices as the cost of touring has soared.

She replied to fans: “I agree! I don’t want my tickets to be too pricey and I will definitely see what I can do about that. But right now in my career I’m definitely not making big bucks on touring. It’s basically a non-profit at this point.”

Last month, it was revealed that Zara had exited Epic Records after more than a decade and signed with RCA.

Insiders told Variety that she had interest from several labels amid her successful Midnight Sun campaign, but parent company Sony ultimately kept her by shifting her to RCA’s roster.

The move ended a long run with Epic, the label she joined in 2013 before releasing her breakout album So Good in 2017.

After the Midnight Sun album’s strong chart run, she rolled out Midnight Sun: Girls Trip in May, extending the project with a new wave of collaborations.

The momentum has carried over to her live schedule too, with Australian stops on the Midnight Sun Tour being moved to larger venues to meet demand.

The tour first set off in October 2025 and is booked solid through to November 2026.

Meanwhile, Larsson has been candid about the pressures of pop stardom.

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she addressed comparisons to Tate McRae, whom she supported on the Miss Possessive Tour in 2025

She said: “I think it’s just the nature of how people speak about girls in pop.

“We are similar in the sense that we both dance, although she’s a way better dancer. And I do pop, she does pop. I think it’s easier to root for someone who’s an underdog, you know?”
