I’m A Celeb’s Carol Vorderman a fun ‘menopausal Mama’

Carol Vorderman is having "the time of her life" as a "menopausal Mama."
The 55-year-old TV favourite – who has signed up for the latest series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ – says going through the menopause gave her a "sense of adventure".
The former ‘Countdown’ star – who has children Katie, 25, and Cameron, 19 with her husband Patrick King – said: "Now I am a menopausal Mama, I am having the time of my life. I am doing a lot more adventurous stuff and it’s the sense of adventure that I love about this show.
"It’s a very free time in my life."
Carol was reportedly offered an eye-watering six-figure sum to take part in the jungle show but she’s also a huge fan and isn’t worried what people think of her going on the reality series.
She continued: "I know people will ask ‘why does Carol need to do this?’
"But I have never paid attention to what others think. I make my own decisions. I like the show and want to do it. I have been watching the show for years and have laughed so much. It is so funny."
The star will be joined by ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett Moffatt, ex ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro Ola Jordan, England footballer Wayne Bridge, model Lisa Snowdon, Olympic gold medallist Sam Quek and comedian Joel Dommett as well as Diversity’s Jordan Banjo and actors Larry Lamb and Adam Thomas.
And Carol sees her role in the group as the camp’s agony aunt.
She added: "I will be Aunty Carol. I won’t be the cook or leader, I am a good team player and I will do any job asked of me. I will be 56 in December and there is life in the old bird yet."
Ant and Dec will return to host ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ when it kicks off on Saturday on ITV.
