December 10 on their tight bond and wanting to be different from other boy bands on the market

December 10 say their bond has become so tight that they’re spending every moment together.

The seven‑piece – comprising Cruz Lee-Ojo, Danny Bretherton, Hendrik Christoffersen, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Nicolas Alves, and Seán Hayden – only publicly formed on Simon Cowell’s Netflix show The Next Act three months and they’ve opened up about their whirlwind rise and fast‑growing fanbase after wrapping their first-ever tour.

John said the group clicked instantly, telling NME: “We’re noticing that everything just works pretty naturally. Whenever we’re in the recording studio or shooting a video, things just seem to fall into place.”

Hendrik added that their closeness has only intensified: “Sometimes it’s like the only time we don’t see each other is when we sleep!”

Despite their different musical tastes, the band insist their creative process has never felt forced.

Seán explained: “There are seven different vocals that get recorded and it sounds like we could be making seven different songs… but then you comp them and it comes together in a unique way that just works.”

Nicolas agreed, saying the group are usually “on the same page” when it comes to their music.

The band say they’re proud to be part of a new wave of UK boy bands, with Fadare calling it “motivating” to help fill the gap left in the genre.

Nicolas added: “Boy bands have got a really rich part in music history… we just want to make our own path and do it in a December 10 way.”

They also credit their individual personalities for shaping their identity.

Josh said: “I hope that people see that we’re here doing something new,” while Lee‑Ojo added that the group want to “speak for our generation and put positive energy out there.”

Their debut single Run My Way has already sparked a passionate fan response, with Olliver revealing that supporters waited “for hours in the cold” just to see them after shows.

Hendrick admitted the reaction has been overwhelming: “To have this fan base in such a short amount of time… it’s astonishing.”

The band also confessed they’re glued to their phones despite trying to manage their social media habits.

John said platforms like TikTok and Instagram are “our main source of engagement with our fans.”

They’ve even caught the attention of Tom Grennan, who not only praised the group but ended up racing Danny after dinner.

He quipped: “Smoked him.”

The band released their next single, Angel, today (06.03.26), and with the promise of more new material, December 10 promise to keep fans guessing.

Nicolas teased: “Expect the unexpected… we’re wanting to go down different routes and try to cross different genres.”
