Carol Vorderman is highest-paid I’m A Celebrity contestant

Carol Vorderman will earn £200,000 for competing on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 55-year-old presenter will be the highest-paid contestant in the Australian jungle this year, though former ‘EastEnders’ actor Larry Lamb and hunky ‘Emmerdale’ star Adam Thomas won’t be too far behind.
A source said: "Carol doesn’t need the money so ITV had to come up with something decent because she’s the show’s main focal point at the moment as she is the most recognisable star.
"Going in the jungle won’t hurt her career and so £200,000 is basically free money. Larry and Adam are both on the telly a lot and will be a good draw for soaps fans – especially Adam who will bring in the younger viewers."
Former England footballer Wayne Bridge will be paid £150,000 as bosses are hoping he will speak about his ex-Chelsea teammate John Terry, who had an affair with his then-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel.
Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Ola Jordan will reportedly earn £90.000 for her stint Down Under, while ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett Moffatt, model Lisa Snowdon, and Olympian Sam Quek will also be paid in the region of £70,000 to £40,000.
Comedian Joel Dommett and Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo are this year’s lowest-paid contestants, with each earning fees of around £25,000.
However, the two relative unknowns are aware the show will give them great exposure and should be great for their future careers.
The source added to The Sun Online: "Jordan and Joel are virtual unknowns so the money is low for them but still not a bad pay day and the jungle experience could really boost their careers."
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ – which is hosted by Ant and Dec – will return to ITV on Sunday (13.11.16).
