Winston Duke joins thriller Heroine

Winston Duke has joined the cast of ‘Heroine’.
The 31-year-old actor has been signed by Paramount Players to star in the new action thriller, which is being directed by Dan Casey from his own script.
The film – which is being produced by Matt Kaplan through his Ace Entertainment production company – will follow the story of a single mother who is a survivor of domestic abuse whose attempt to start a fresh in a new neighbourhood is thrown into jeopardy after she witnesses a kidnap by an Aryan gang.
However, her neighbour will come to her aid after he makes a metal suit to fight the racist gang as a vigilante.
Winston star rose to fame after landing the role of tribe leader M’Baku in Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’, following up that with an appearance in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
The actor has also been linked to Jordan Peele’s new project ‘Us’, a follow up to the Oscar-winning horror ‘Get Out’, which sees Daniel Kaluuya’s character Chris Washington make a shocking discovery about his white girlfriend’s family.
Jordan, 39, has now announced the follow up, due for release in March 2019, and it is set to star Winston along with Lupita Nyong’o – who also appeared in ‘Black Panther’ – and Elisabeth Moss from ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’.
Elisabeth previously said of the film: "All I can kind of say is, I’m obviously a huge fan of ‘Get Out,’ as is the rest of the world, and I think this movie’s gonna be really good, I just think it’s gonna be good. It’s just gonna be really good, and that’s it."
Details of the new film are under wraps but the story will reportedly follow two couples, one white and one black.
