Wayne Bridge would love to appear on Strictly

Frankie Bridge says her husband Wayne Bridge would love to appear on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former Saturdays star claims the 38-year-old retired footballer is keen to be chosen for the Latin and ballroom show – after he picked up some moves from the 29-year-old singer’s time in the girl band and her stint on the programme in 2016.
Speaking to MailOnline, she said: "I think he’d love to do [‘Strictly’]. Whenever we’ve had dancers in The Saturdays or when I was in ‘Strictly’, he was always getting them to teach him moves.
"[‘Strictly’ pro] Aljaž [Škorjanec] taught him how to do the figure of eight with the hips and that one comes out when he’s had a few beers."
Wayne – who shares children Carter, three, and Parker, four, with Frankie, as well as 11-year-old Jaydon Jean Claude from a previous relationship with Vanessa Perroncel – would do well on the show if he was allowed to drink beforehand, according to the singer.
She added: "I think if he was allowed to drink beforehand he might be actually quite good."
The pop star loved her time on the programme and she was the first contestant of the 2014 instalment to earn a 10 from the judges.
While she’s envious of this year’s dancers, Frankie has given them some words of warning.
She said: "It’s got easier now; I think the first couple of years were the hardest.
"I envy them because I know they’re about to have so much fun and it’s going to be something you get to remember forever.
"You get to learn some amazing things; it’s such a fun experience."
"But I also feel them as well like, you have no idea how hard you’re going to work over the next three months."
