Lynda Bellingham hopes to reunite with late father

Lynda Bellingham hopes to be reunited with her long-lost father when she dies.
On September 28, 2014, the former 'Loose Women' presenter announced that she would be stopping the chemotherapy to treat her terminal bowel cancer, leaving her with just a few weeks to live.
Now the 66-year-old actress and television personality - who was adopted by British parents shortly after being born - has revealed that she hopes to meet her biological father in heaven.
In her autobiography, 'Memoir', Lynda has explained how she wishes she could have met her Canadian father, Carl Seymour Hutton.
She wrote: "I am drawn once again to how my life began and where I came from, and in particular who my birth father really was.
"Now I long to talk to him, to show him what I have achieved."
In an open letter to her late father - who passed away 50 years ago - she wrote: "I hope you can look down and see my world. I have worked so hard to get it right before I go and I hope there is a way you can look after them all, just as I will be doing from wherever I am off to. Who knows, we might just meet in the middle."
Speaking about her death, Lynda admitted: "I'm quite nervous about saying goodbye but I don't fear death. I'm not religious but I am a Christian, and I like to think there's somewhere else to go."

Jack P. Shepherd quits Twitter

Jack P. Shepherd has quit Twitter.
The 'Coronation Street' actor - who stars as tearaway David Platt in the ITV soap - has shut down his account on the social networking site following weeks of controversy.
Last month he was bombarded with death threats following a number of Tweets in which he joked about a fire at a Manchester Dog's home, where approximately 50 animals are reported to have died.
However, although Corrie bosses are said to have warned the star that his behaviour would not be tolerated and threatened him with a fine for any further issues, it was not until recently that he decided to stop using the site.
His decision appears to have come just days after Sammy Wilewski - with whom Jack had a one-night-stand with while married to wife Lauren Shippey - revealed he refuses to see the child he fathered with her.
Jack - who also has two children with wife Lauren - reportedly gives Sammy money towards three-year-old Greyson's upbringing but refuses to meet him.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Jack pays child maintenance for Greyson but that's it.
"He portrays himself as a family man, yet he's able to erase one of his children from his life."

Broadchurch uses secret codes to protect script

The cast of 'Broadchurch' use secret codes to protect the show's scripts.
David Tennant - who is set to reprise his role as Detective Inspector Hardy for the second series of the ITV drama - has admitted security is so tight on the hotly-anticipated follow-up that he is forced to type in a special password whenever he opens an email regarding the show.
The 43-year-old actor failed to share details about his part in the latest instalment and joked about the lengths show bosses have gone to to ensure top secret details about the series are kept on set.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I'm in it - I think that's essentially all I can say."
He jokingly added: "We're all tagged and it sets off electric shocks if we say anything we shouldn't."
However, fans should expect a "pretty gruesome" follow-up after David dropped hints about the plot while discussing filming over the summer.
Meanwhile, the former 'Doctor Who' star is also starring in the US remake of the murder mystery show, entitled 'Gracepoint', which premiered last week.
The Scottish actor - who portrays Emmett Carver opposite Anna Gunn as Ellie Miller in the drama - admitted it was an "odd" experience remaking the same show alongside a different cast and in a new setting but says that was part of the project's appeal.
He said: "It's such an odd thing to be asked to do. To kind of reshoot something that was in many ways the same, but not really. I don't even know how to relay it. I'm not aware if this has ever been done before -- therefore, I think it would have been churlish to say no to doing it, don't you think?' "

Simon Cowell apologies for animal cruelty scenes

Simon Cowell has pledged to bring the issue of animal cruelty to a "mass audience" following a recent controversy on 'The X Factor'.
Cowell, 54, felt it necessary to apologise last week after it emerged that the ITV spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor' had filmed scenes of contestants attending a dolphin show and swimming with the animals.
The incident led to 7,000 complaints against the airing of the footage and Cowell has vowed to address the issue properly through a new "project".
He tweeted: "I hope to announce a project in the near future which will bring the issues of dolphins and whales in captivity to a mass audience."
Cowell added: "It's something we have been working on for a while."
The music mogul is a long-time supporter of animal rights group PETA and his recent tweets follow an apology he issued last week, which read: "Reading your tweets. I had no idea Xtra Factor producers filmed with dolphins. This will NOT be showed on Saturday. (sic)"
He said: "I think you all know my view on cruelty to animals so thank you all for your concern."

Emmerdale’s Laura Norton has a crush on Jake Wood

Emmerdale actress Laura Norton has a "massive crush" on Jake Wood.
The 31-year-old star, who plays Kerry Wyatt on the ITV soap has said she can't stop tuning into 'Strictly Come Dancing' since 'EastEnders' star Jake Wood slipped into the sequins.
She gushed: "I love Jake Wood. I've got a massive crush on Jake Wood so I'm watching Strictly."
The 42-year-old father-of-two - who plays bad boy Max Branning on the BBC One soap - has won over the actress with his swinging hips.
She explained: "I met him and he was lovely, but he's so talented, I just think he's brilliant. And he's really good on Strictly as well, [he's] got proper snake hips!"
Laura even confessed that Jake has inspired her to get her dancing shoes on, but stated that she is forbidden from starring on the show as she works for rival channel, ITV.
She added to BANG Showbiz: "I want to be in Strictly! We're not allowed because we're with ITV obviously, so we're not allowed to go and do it, but dancing is literally one of my favourite things."

James Sutton ‘relishes’ his Hollyoaks storylines

James Sutton enjoys going to "dark places" on 'Hollyoaks'.
The 30-year-old actor did extensive research ahead of his character John Paul McQueen's rape at the hands of Finn O'Connor (Keith Rice) and "relishes" the storylines, which require a lot of work.
He said: "As an actor, I relish this sort of thing.
"I love doing stuff that I have to go out and research, and go to some really dark places for. I worked really closely with
Survivors [a support group for male victims of rape and sexual abuse] in Manchester and it was eye-opening."
James admits his young co-star Keith was nervous about a backlash from the storyline but he advised him to accept that abuse would be part of doing a good job.
He told Gay Times magazine: "I'm good friends with Keith Rice, who plays Finn, and he's been really worried about what people are going to say to him in the street and what abuse he might get - but I keep telling him this is his job.
"You either have to commit to it 100%, give it the best of your ability and be a nasty little piece of work, or you say no. You don't do it half-heartedly."

Danny Dyer: Dean Wicks ‘gets what’s coming to him’

Danny Dyer says Dean Wicks will "get what's coming to him" when Mick Carter finds out about Linda's rape.
The 'EastEnders' actor plays the Queen Vic landlord on the soap, and he has discussed the show's ongoing storyline which sees the aftermath of his character's wife - played by Kellie Bright - being attacked by Dean (Matt Di Angelo).
He told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "Let me tell you something now, it's explosive.
"You are going to see a side of Mick that's going to freak you all out. I can't say too much but Dean gets what's coming to him.
"Matt's a lovely boy and it's a tricky thing to deal with. It's a subject that needs to be dealt with in the right way. The way we've done it is really delicate."
The TV hard man explained the soap wants to "encourage" people who have been through similar experiences to open up about it and not "bottle it up".
He added: "We're trying to encourage anyone going through that kind of thing to talk about it and tell the people you love. It's important not to bottle it up and deal with it yourself.
"It has been difficult because obviously I know the storyline but Mick doesn't know.
"All I will say is when he does find out, you're not going to want to miss it."

Michaela Strachan had breasts removed after cancer diagnosis

Michaela Strachan had both her breasts removed after being diagnosed with cancer.
The 'Springwatch' presenter has revealed the upsetting news after being told the news following a routine mammogram earlier this year, and it changed how she looked at her body.
She told the Mail on Sunday newspaper's You magazine: "The tears started to roll as my doctor tried to tell me what would happen next but I only took in every fifth word or so.
"The only work that registered was cancer ... My breasts have never been a big part of my personality - they have always been rather average 34Bs.
"I didn't think I'd feel too emotional about losing them. But knowing that I would in the next few days I found myself wearing tight tops and celebrating them."
Michaela, 48, has encouraged other women to go for regular mammograms, insisting her story could have been "very different" if she hadn't.
She added: "If I'd put mine off, my story would have been a very different one.
"As it is I've had a tough year and an emotional journey but I'm not fighting for my life."

Hayley Tamaddon: I’d do Strictly Come Dancing in a ‘heartbeat’

Hayley Tamaddon would do 'Strictly Come Dancing' "in a heartbeat."
The 'Coronation Street' star says she would love to don some sequins and shimmy around the dance floor on the BBC One celebrity contest following her appearance on ITV's 'Dancing on Ice' in 2010.
When asked if she would enter the show, the 37-year-old actress exclaimed: "Oh my, in a heartbeat!
"As a kid, because I lived in Blackpool, I danced as a kid but we never did ballroom, so I used to go with my mum to watch the ballroom dancers because they always used to dance in the Tower Ballroom.
"I'd just sit and watch four hours about how they did it, so yeah, in a heartbeat. Anything to do with dancing and performing, I would love to do, yeah."
This year however, the former 'Emmerdale' actress has been giving former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Mark Wright - who is engaged to her former co-star - some helpful hints she picked up on Dancing on Ice, to improve his performance.
She explained to BANG Showbiz: "Michelle Keegan's other half is in it, I met him last week, and he was asking me what he can do with his face, so I was giving him a few facial [tips].
"The trick is, if you use this [points at face], it takes it away from the feet you see, if the feet are going wrong. So if you're using this [points at face], you get a few more points!"
