'The X Factor' judges have decided to ditch the disco theme for this weekend's show.
The usually popular theme had been confirmed on 'The Xtra Factor' on Sunday night (02.11.14) but after an emergency meeting between producers and the judges - Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh - it was dropped in favour for Queen versus Michael Jackson.
Producer Mark Sidaway revealed the swap on his Twitter account, writing: "Just leaving a song meeting with all the judges. Okay, hold into your hats, we may have a theme change #xfactor.
"Disco just died. We've a new theme coming... (sic)"
The new theme was revealed on the official 'X Factor' Twitter account in a series of tweets which read: "@SimonCowell, @CherylOfficial,@OfficialMelB, Louis and the producers have agreed a new theme based on two iconic acts #xfactor #newtheme.
"The #newtheme is... Queen versus Michael Jackson. Tune in 8pm Saturday night @itv #xfactor. (sic)"
The remaining pop hopefuls will have to perform a song made famous by Freddie Mercury or the King of Pop on Saturday (08.11.14) and on the results show on Sunday (09.11.14) One Direction and Sam Smith will take to the stage before the latest act is cut from the competition.

'The Apprentice' candidate James Hill has reportedly been wooing Jasmin Walia.
The 26-year-old businessman has been pursuing 'The Only Way Is Essex' beauty after meeting her at Essex hotspot, Sugar Hut, despite her currently being in a relationship with Ross Worswick.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Jasmin thinks James is gorgeous but when she and Ross split they got back together! She's torn."
The 24-year-old star first started dating Ross, who appeared on the MTV show 'Ex on the Beach', in April this year but their relationship is now said to be on the rocks.
Meanwhile, James is said to have romanced his fellow candidate on the BBC One entrepreneurial reality series, Lauren Riley while living in the same house during filming.
An insider said previously: "It didn't take James long to woo Lauren.
"She's clever and quite classy but fell for his charms and they had a fairly full-on fling. They were always sneaking off."
And the business hopeful - who is competing to win a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar - has been at the centre of controversy since he first appeared on the show.
It was revealed last month that he had been given a six-month suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of assault in 2008.

Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow is "out for revenge".
Kate Ford - who has starred as Tracy in the ITV soap since 2002 - has revealed her character is to become nastier than ever after her fiancé Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) was arrested for the murder of Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).
She explained: "The thing with Tracy is that when she's hurt, then she's vicious. And because she's so hurt, you're really going to see her bitchy and nasty side."
The 36-year-old actress says Tracy will first take out her anger on Rob's sister Carla Connor (Alison King), who called the police on her brother following his murder admission, not wanting to let husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoigne) rot in jail for a crime he didn't commit.
Kate told The Sun newspaper: "Firstly she steps up her war with Carla, who she 100 per cent blames for all this.
"She feels like Carla should have kept her mouth shut and that this woman took away her chance of happiness, so she's out for revenge."
And Tracy is to find herself embroiled in a seedy affair with Liz McDonald's (Beverly Callard) boyfriend Tony Stewart (Terence Maynard).
She added: "She's going to have a fling with Tony. It's nothing like her relationship with Rob. It's not a big love affair - it's messy, involving things like blackmail, power and money.
"It's a negative relationship, it's not good for any of them and the stuff we've shit is quite dark."

'Doctor Who' showrunner Steven Moffat has paved the way for a woman to play the character by changing the sex of his famous foe The Master.
In the episode 'Dark Water' - which aired on BBC One on Saturday (01.11.14) - viewers saw the mysterious character Missy (Michelle Gomez) - reveal herself to be evil Time Lord The Master, but having regenerated as a woman.
When she made the reveal to the Doctor - portrayed by Peter Capaldi - Missy said: "Missy. Short for Mistress. Well I couldn't very well keep calling myself The Master."
Moffat had previously allowed writer Neil Gaiman to add to 'Doctor Who' mythology the fact that Time Lords could change sex when they regenerate into a new body in the 2011 episode 'The Doctor's Wife'.
Moffat also previously revealed he considered casting a woman in the famous role when he was looking for a replacement for Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith, who was eventually succeeded by Capaldi.
He said: ''It's absolutely narratively possible and when it's the right decision, maybe we'll do it. It didn't feel to me, right now, right. I didn't feel enough people wanted it. 'Oddly enough most people who said they were dead against it - and I know I'll get into trouble for saying this - were women. Saying, 'No, no, don't make him a woman!' Not that I was influenced by that. I'm influenced by nothing. Obviously.''
The decision to change The Master - famously portrayed by Roger Delgado and John Simm in past incarnations - into a woman has prompted a mixed reaction online from fans.
In a posting on popular fan site DoctorWhoTV.co.uk, user TheDoctornator wrote: "I mean no offence in anyway, I just think if they were going to bring back a female timelord, than they should have brought back the Rani, I am not trying to be sexist in anyway, but I think that in my opinion that would have been the better solution. (sic)"
Another user, ElyotWren, was happier with the shock reveal, posting: "I wanted the Master to return some day as he was my favourite villain, being the Doctor's disturbed equal (I'm a sucker for crazy stuffs), and I was so glad when Missy revealed who she was. My grin could not have been wider, my face was hurting! (sic)"

Chloe Jasmine Whichello has reportedly been dumped after cheating with The X Factor's Stevi Ritchie.
The 23-year-old singer was voted off the ITV talent show last month and was revealed to have been enjoying a fling with cheeky chappy Stevi, despite being in a relationship with Criag Wiffen.
However, despite appearing to forgive his beau for her infidelity, Craig is now said to have ended their relationship, writing a harsh message - which has now been deleted - on Twitter.
According to The Sun newspaper, he wrote: "Chloe-Jasmine is an alcoholic, a liar and a cheat. I hope you and Stevi are very happy together."
Craig is reported to have decided to call it quits with Chloe after Stevi revealed on Saturday night's (01.11.14) episode of 'The X Factor' that the blonde beauty had told him she was no longer in a relationship before their romp in a hotel.
Stevi said: "I was looking for love, and I was hoping I'd found it."
He added to mentor Simon Cowell during a dinner date at Harvester: "I really like her."
Meanwhile, Craig continued his Twitter rant, saying: "A persons character is defined by what they do when nobody is watching."

Jamie Laing wants to get married and have "lots of babies".
The 'Made In Chelsea' star has confessed that despite being known as a womaniser for romancing co-stars Louise Thompson, Lucy Watson and Riley Uggla, he can't wait to settle down.
He said: "I'm honestly tired of being single. I know I've dated a bit on the show, but I do like being a boyfriend and I think I'm very romantic.
"I'm looking for a wife now and, as I'm one of eight children, I want to have lots of babies. I want so many babies that I can attach reins to them and have them pull me along on a sleigh."
The 25-year-old heir to the McVitie's biscuit empire also insisted that although he may come across as being really confident, he actually finds it terrifying approaching girls he fancies.
He told Closer magazine: "I do chat to loads of people and I'm very social, so people assume I'm confident - but I'm actually really shy. It's hard flirting with girls and I do get really nervous!"
Meanwhile, Jamie admits he's finally over ex-girlfriend Lucy, after being left devastated when he learned she was hooking up with his best pal Oliver Proudlock.
He added: "It was hard watching my best mate hook up with Lucy. It's a struggle because neither of them came to me to say it was happening and I had to find out from someone else - on a boat. I literally couldn't escape, unless I threw myself overboard."

Scott Mills has been booted out of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The Radio 1 DJ left the competition, after losing out in the dance-off to Alison Hammond.
He tweeted: "Strictly has been the best experience and I've just had such an amazing time.
"I'm so pleased I took part and I hope people enjoyed watching me try really hard in being as good as I could be.
"I've met some great people and made lots of new friends. I will miss them all. [sic]"
The couples both performed their routines from last night again, with Scott and [dance partner] Joanne dancing the foxtrot to The Addams Family Theme Tune.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell opted to save Alison, whilst head judge Len Goodman disagreed with the rest of the panel.
Len said: "Had it been left to me, I thought they were both so much fun.
"They were both dancing the foxtrot so I went for the section which was the foxtrot and in that case, it would have been Scott that I would have saved."
Scott, who is the fifth celebrity to leave the competition, called the experience "the most fun" he'd ever had.
Speaking after the show, he said: "It's something that I never thought I would do and I'm so glad that I said yes to it because it's been the most fun I've ever had!"
Scott also praised Joanne, saying: "We've become friends so it's really sweet. It doesn't really end for me here because I'll still see her."

Lola Saunders has left the 'X Factor'.
The 20-year-old ex-fishmonger chose a powerful rendition of '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman' for the sing-off but was eliminated from the competition after she received the fewest public votes.
She was booted out after the judges failed to come to a majority verdict.
Louis Walsh and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini both saved their own acts, whilst Mel B saved Stereo Kicks and Simon Cowell saved Lola, causing the voting to go to deadlock.
Speaking after her elimination, Lola said: "I tried the best that I could at the end of the day. This experience has been life-changing.
"It's been amazing. And thank you to everyone who voted."
Cheryl praised her "fantastic" act, telling Dermot O'Leary: "She's fantastic. She's grown and grown throughout the competition. She's special. I love her."
The loss leaves judge Cheryl with just one act left in the competition, 17-year-old Lauren Platt.
