Jack Walton eliminated from X Factor

Jack Walton was eliminated on Saturday night's 'X Factor' (01.11.14).
The 18-year-old hopeful was kicked off the show at the end of last night's Halloween-themed Fright Night programme following a performance of Leona Lewis' classic single 'Bleeding Love'.
Talking about his experience on the ITV show, he said: "It's been absolutely amazing: a world away from what I'm used to and I've just loved it."
Despite receiving positive comments from his mentor, former Spice Girl Mel B, the Yorkshire lad was slammed by the other judges, with Louis Walsh branding him a "small room performer."
Fans of the hunk have been left devastated by the result of the public vote, with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson tweeting his disappointment at the outcome.
He wrote: "What a f**king joke
"Gutted . Don't think he was given a fair chance with his songs . #xfactor (sic)"
The wannabe singer is one of two contestants being forced to leave the talent competition this weekend, with another of his fellow stars set to be voted off in Sunday evening's results show (02.11.14), which will also see performances from judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and 35-year-old crooner, John Legend.

Dermot O’Leary used to vomit before live TV shows

Dermot O'Leary used to vomit before every live television appearance.
The 'X Factor' host revealed that he used to have unbearable anxiety over presenting live broadcasts on Channel 4, but that his sickness has eased as time has gone by.
Talking on 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man' he said: "I first started on T4 and used to throw up every Sunday. Every single Sunday I was so nervous about going on air."
The 41-year-old presenter - who is married to TV and film producer Dee Koppang - said that the pressure of hosting the Saturday night primetime television series has lessened over time, but that nerves still take hold of him before the show begins.
He continued: "You just get used to it after a while. And it's a weird thing to say, but the 30 seconds before the 'X Factor' starts, the doors come out like that... those first 30 seconds are the most terrifying of the weekend."
The star - who also presents a show on BBC Radio 2 - went on to reveal that former 'The Xtra Factor' host Holly Willoughby, used to joke that he looked so terrified before the programme began that she thought he would pull out of the job.
He joked: "Holly Willoughby, when she first started, she went, 'You're stood there for 30 seconds and you're looking around going 'I don't want to do it. You do it, you do it. I don't want to do it!' and then as soon as the door goes back you go 'oh this is what I want to do'.'
"Then you can really enjoy it. I love it though."

Joey Essex would date a posh girl

Joey Essex "doesn't mind" posh girls.
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star admits he's developed a bromance with Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing, despite them seeming to be from very different backgrounds, and Joey admits he would be more than happy to date one of Jamie's "posh" co-stars.
Quizzed on whether he'd consider hooking up with any of the MIC girls, he said: "They're all right, I suppose! I don't mind posh girls [laughs]."
Speaking about why he thinks he and Jamie get on so well he added: "We really get on! I think we have the same sort of humour and are the same person. He just likes having fun and being happy. We get each other!"
Joey, 24 - who split from on/off girlfriend Sam Faiers last month - also revealed that he's been watching childhood friend Pixie Lott compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and confessed that while he may have fancied her when they were younger, he could never act on in it because he's friends with her brother.
He told new! magazine: "I don't really watch Strictly! But I know Pixie Lott quite well so I watched on of her dances. I grew up with her. I'm good mates with her brother Steve."
Joey added: "I couldn't really get with Pixie because she was Steve's sister. So even if I did fancy her ... She was pretty - she had blonde, curly, frizzy hair."

Simon Webbe considered suicide before Strictly Come Dancing

Simon Webbe considered suicide before Strictly Come Dancing.
The member of hit boyband Blue has revealed that he battled with severe depression and alcoholism which led him to contemplate taking his own life, before joining the BBC competition.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I hated who I was and started questioning my whole life. I was really depressed. I never attempted suicide but I thought about it.
"I turned mirrors round so I didn't have to look at myself. I didn't want to be here, didn't want to be a part of anything,"
The 36-year-old - who has a teenage daughter, Alanah - explained that his downward spiral began when he finished a 173-date reunion tour with his 'All Rise' bandmates, and didn't know what to do next.
He said: "I was sitting at home, curtains closed, drinking a bottle of brandy a day. I didn't leave the house for weeks on end except to buy bread or milk."
The singer-songwriter - who also released two solo albums, 'Sanctuary' in 2005 and 'Grace' in 2006 - has now praised the Saturday night dancing contest for boosting his self esteem and helping him tackle his demons.
He continued: "Preparing for Strictly and being on it, I have lost four stone and changed my whole life.
"Now I want to get up in the morning. Learning the dances every week has been like therapy."

Beverley Callard signs new Coronation Street deal

Beverley Callard will stay in 'Coronation Street' permanently after signing a new deal.
The 57-year-old actress returned to the ITV programme last year on a six-month trial contract after quitting in 2009 due to a personal battle with depression, but the Rovers Return landlady will now stay in the soap permanently having proved to be a hit with viewers.
An insider on the show told The Sun newspaper: "The word around the place is that she can now go on and become a true Corrie legend."
The mother of two - who plays Liz McDonald in the show - has become a fan favourite thanks to her cheeky one-liners and no-nonsense attitude, and has now signed a £100,000 contract which guarantees her long-term future in the show.
The well-known actress first appeared as the character in 1989, leaving nine years later to spend more time with her family, but has returned several times since and is now set to become a permanent fixture on the cobbles once again.
The source continued: "Everyone is thrilled Bev - and Liz - are going to be here for a long, long time."
Her permanent return to the soap follows a turbulent period in her life. The actress has been declared bankrupt twice in recent years due to failed businesses with her husband Jon McEwan, and also revealed that she has attempted suicide six times.

Judy Murray’s son won’t watch her on Strictly Come Dancing

Judy Murray's son doesn't want to watch her on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The tennis coach - who is partnered with Anton du Beke on the BBC One celebrity dance contest - is mother to former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, who claims he has no interest in going along to the live show, as his older brother Jamie did last week.
Andy - who has been competing in tournaments across the world for the past few months - is set to return to his home in Surrey next week but insists he won't be going to watch his mother dance at the studio in London.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I'm quite looking forward to getting back and being in my own bed and my home for quite a few days, rather than watching some very average dancing."
However, the 27-year-old star confessed he is glad Judy - who has been described as having "rigour mortis" by the Strictly judges - is enjoying herself.
He added: "I've only seen two of the dances but she is having a good time, that's the most important thing.
"From what she's said to me it's been the best fun she's had in such a long time, learning something new.
"Her partner's been just loads of fun. But for her it's tough on the body. She's doing six hours of dancing three days a week to get ready and then do the show.
"Being in heels and stuff - she doesn't normally wear them, she's normally in trainers. So for her it's quite tough physically which I don't think she was really expecting."
Judy is set to transform into Cruella de Vil on tonight's (01.11.14) Halloween themed show.

Amanda Holden confirms return of Britain’s Got Talent judges

Amanda Holden has confirmed the return of all four 'Britain's Got Talent' judges.
The blonde beauty revealed that she, David Walliams, Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon will all be returning for the 2015 series.
Speaking at the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's Collars & Coats Gala Ball at London's Battersea Evolution, Amanda told BANG Showbiz: "We've all been told we're doing it, yep. So we're just waiting for contracts."
The judge sounded excited as she explained the contracts would be coming through, "Hopefully next week, I would think."
"Everyone's coming back, I don't think we're making any changes because the shows working. The ratings will prove that. I think, if it ain't broke, don't change it."
However, Amanda confessed that while she loves the show, she can't see herself doing it in her old age.
She said: "I couldn't do another ten years on the show, I'd be in a zimmer frame! I think it's got at least another two or three years though."
On being asked about posting a picture of herself with her derriere exposed on Twitter, she added: "It was because I was interviewing Lady Gaga and the previous week she had worn a dress with her bum out, so I thought it was funny."

Craig Revel Horwood thinks Scott Mills’ Strictly Come Dancing days are numbered

Craig Revel Horwood thinks Scott Mills' days on 'Strictly Come Dancing' are numbered.
The outspoken judge of the BBC One celebrity dance contest has revealed he doesn't think BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills has any hope of staying in the competition for much longer.
Speaking at Battersea Cats & Dogs Home's Collars & Coats Gala Ball at London's Battersea Evolution, Craig told BANG Showbiz: "I think Scott's time on the show is limited, as much as his dancing is."
However, Craig did admit that he's glad Scott agreed to appear on the show after his colleague Greg James turned it down, as he's been the source of plenty of laughs.
He explained: "He's provided an enormous amount of lobster-ish entertainment. He's showing at least little signs of improvement."
Craig also offered his advice to former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Mark Wright, who broke down in tears last week after being saved by the public.
He said: "Pull yourself together. Man up. It's only a dancing show and not World War Three'.
"Don't get upset when you get criticised by the judges. We're there to help and we're there to criticise. It's our job."
Meanwhile, Scott has confessed he is enthusiastic about his routine for this weekend's show.
Taking to his Twitter account this morning (31.10.14), he wrote: "Halloween rehearsals lets do it @bbcstrictly (sic)."

Omid Djalili ‘would never appear’ on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Omid Djalili would never appear on 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' because he couldn't eat "kangaroo testicles".
The stand-up comedian is starring in 'Hot and Dangerous' - a new TV series that looks at the hottest curries in the UK - and despite stomaching some gut-churning dishes for the programme, the 49-year-old star insists he would never appear on the ITV reality show hosted by Ant & Dec.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Although my tolerance levels improved, I'll never do a show like 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' I will never be found eating kangaroo testicles."
Omid grew up hating all spicy foods, but admits his tolerance levels improved while filming his new show.
The comedian - who's currently touring the UK with his 'Iranalamadingdong' stand-up show - explained: "I loved a balti dish I had in a curry house in Birmingham. Of course, the balti was made by British-Pakistanis and I found that to be a tremendous culinary experience.
"The worst thing I ate was a dish called 'The Widower' in Grantham, which made me ill. It has to be cooked using a gas mask! When the show was first discussed, I thought I'd be travelling all over the world to samples foods. I never thought I'd end up in Grantham burning myself a new butthole."
However, Omid - whose new autobiography, 'Hopeful', is out now - added: "Spicy foods are high in vitamin C, which means they're good for helping to cure things like colds. It really does help you to feel healthier - it's like a natural, legal high."
'Omid Djalili, Hot and Dangerous', premieres tonight (31.10.14) at 9pm on Freeview channel Quest.
