EastEnders' 'who killed Lucy Beale?' storyline took a shocking twist last night (19.02.15) as it was revealed her half-brother Bobby brutally murdered her last year.
Fans of the BBC One soap were left on the edge of their seats until the very end of the semi-live double episode when it became apparent the 11 year old had smashed the businesswoman - played by Hetti Bywater - over the head with her jewellery box.
The shocking revelation came after viewers already thought they'd cracked the killer in the earlier episode when Lucy's father Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) accused his new wife and her step-mother Jane (Laurie Brett) of taking the blonde beauty's life.
However, in the later flashback episode, which showed Lucy's entire journey on the night she died along with all of the possible suspects, it eventually became clear that her little sibling had ended her life following a row at their home in Albert Square.
Viewers saw Jane receive a disturbing phonecall from a mysterious someone and she then rushed over to the property to discover Lucy dead on the floor and Bobby clutching the solid wood jewellery box in his hand.
He said to Jane, who adopted him a few years ago, with an evil look in his eye: "Whatever she says, she started it. She made everyone unhappy."
Meanwhile, EastEnders' 30th anniversary celebrations, which kicked off on Monday (16.02.15), will continue tonight (20.02.15) with a 30-minute fully live episode when the residents of Walford are set to learn the truth about the brutal death of Lucy.

'EastEnders' actor Jake Wood has hinted he knows who killed Lucy Beale.
The 42-year-old star has revealed executive producer Dominic Treadwell Collins may have told him who is to be revealed as the blonde beauty's killer as part of the BBC One soap's 30th anniversary episodes tonight (19.02.15).
Asked if he knows who did it yet, he said: "Maybe, possibly. I couldn't possibly say, but yeah. Obviously things are having to be revealed to the cast round about now. So I'm as blown away as everyone will be when they watch the episode tonight."
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant, who plays Max Branning, went on to admit he'd be thrilled if his on-screen ex-wife Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner) returned to the show for good after her appearance in last night's episode (18.02.15).
Speaking on ITV's 'Lorraine' this morning (19.02.15), he said: "It's been a joy to have Jo back for this week, I think our characters work incredibly well and I think it's a bit of a treat for the audience.
"They like to see Max and Tanya back together. I'd love Jo to come back longer term but obviously that's up to her, she's got other things in the timeline so we'll have to wait and see."
Meanwhile, one of Jake's on-screen daughters, Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) has confessed she's yet to find out whether she killed Lucy (Hetti Bywater).
She told ITV's 'This Morning': "I mean it could be [me], I could get a tap on the shoulder today like, 'Yeah, you did actually kill her'. But it would be interesting."

The cast of 'Neighbours' have spoofed 'EastEnders'.
The Australian soap is also celebrating its 30th anniversary and has created a video parodying some of the BBC One show's legendary characters.
The clip begins with Susan Kennedy, played by Jackie Woodburne, intensely watching an episode of 'EastEnders'.
Her husband Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) appears to be completely bemused by the idea of a soap opera but when she reveals it has been running for three decades, he seems impressed.
Whilst going to fetch a drink, Susan slips up on some spilt milk and is transported to the world of 'East Erinsborough'.
There she meets a Mitchell brother, Kat Slater and the Queen Vic's former landlady Peggy Mitchell, all hilariously portrayed by her 'Neighbours' co-stars.
At the end of the video, Jackie and Alan send a personal message of congratulations to the cast of the British show.
They said: "From all the cast and crew here at 'Neighbours', we'd like to congratulate the team at 'EastEnders' for thirty wonderful years. Well done you!"
Meanwhile, 'Neighbours' producer Jason Herbison has teased a "huge year" ahead for the Australian soap.
He said previously: "It's going to be a huge year, kicking off with the 30th events. We've got a wedding, a funeral, a surprise pregnancy...
"We'll also be bringing in a new regular character who will have quite a big impact on the street. This character has a major connection to one of the sustainers."

'Emmerdale' actor Kelvin Fletcher is feeling the "pressure" ahead of scenes in which he will contemplate taking his own life.
The 31-year-old actor, who plays Andy Sugden in the ITV soap, has confessed he's nervous about the reaction tonight's episode - in which his character could be set to commit suicide following the death of his wife Katie (Sammy Winward) earlier this month - will receive.
He shared: "I think with suicide, I think as males feel they don't want to be a burden upon other people and despite a strong support network and two beautiful children he just feels that if he ends his own life he almost ends the grief for them and ends the problems for them. "It's something that's been quite tough to play because obviously as an actor you do try and draw on personal experiences and obviously I can't draw on that because I've not been in that tragic position where I've had to make or even contemplate things like that.
"As an actor it's tricky to play because you know there's people out there going through similar scenarios and there's a lot of pressure on."
The hunky star - who has starred in the soap for nearly 20 years - went on to explain Andy's reasons for wanting to end his life.
He told ITV's 'This Morning': "This is a big turning point for Andy and I think he feels that it's all got too much for him and men are very likely, most likely, more than women, to not share their problems and let things build up ... And he feels like going to the funeral tonight is literally his last goodbye because little do people know but he's actually preparing to end his life."
Meanwhile, Kelvin also spoke about the recent departure of his long-time co-star Sammy and admitted he's been missing her on set.
He added: "It was a great shame for the show to lose such an iconic character like Katie and for me personally to lose a great friend and a great work colleague, we did enjoy some great times together.
"I think it's been a fitting send off for Katie. I think it was a great send off I think it gave Sammy a chance to show off her talent and range as an actress."

Vernon Kay would "seriously consider" appearing on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The television presenter has admitted that whilst he has "never, ever had one conversation" about it, he would be up for taking part in the BBC One ballroom dance contest.
When asked if he would join the show as a contestant, he said: "If they asked me, I would seriously consider it."
The 40-year-old television personality - who is married to the show's co-host Tess Daly - believes he hasn't yet been asked to take because he is like "part of the family".
He said: "I think it's because I'm there on a regular basis. They must feel like I'm part of the family. It's been eleven, twelve years that they've been doing it and I'm always down there causing a nuisance. It's such a good show."
Whilst his wife takes the reigns of the show on a Saturday and Sunday night, Vernon stays at home with their two daughters - Phoebe, 10 and Amber, five - where they create their own version of the show in their living room.
Speaking on ITV's 'Loose Women', he said: "It's quite nice that we know when 'Strictly Come Dancing' is [scheduled], so I have the kids on Saturday night and we have a tendency to dress up and the girls put on their Disney princess dresses and stuff like that.
"I always play the professional and they play the celebrities and I spin them around!"

Lydia Bright is dating a mystery man.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star has revealed she is now in a new relationship after meeting a man in Thailand.
She said: "I met him in Thailand. It's early days but we have been on four dates and we have kissed!"
The news of Lydia's boyfriend is sure to leave her on/off love interest and co-star James 'Arg' Argent heartbroken after they appeared to rekindle their relationship last year.
She added: "Me and Arg were together a long time. We will always have a special part in each other's lives. But he knows about my new man."
James - who was suspended from the ITV show and spent the festive period in rehab trying to get clean - is "making great progress" and there are hopes he will make his return during the new series.
An insider shared to The Sun newspaper: "Arg is making great progress and we are all really happy about that.
"But it is not just a case of him simply walking back onto the show. Before he left he was very disruptive and constantly late.
"Him being off the show still is part punishment for that, but he is expected to be back later in the new series."
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old television personality - who was sent 50 red roses on Valentine's Day by her mystery man - admitted the whole cast are "praying" for Arg's return.
She said previously: "He's doing really well at the moment... and we're all praying that he comes back sometime during this series."

'EastEnders' actor Matt Di Angelo cries in his dressing room after filming tough scenes.
The 27-year-old star's character Dean Wicks has been involved in some harrowing storylines over the past few months, including raping his sister-in-law Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and his grandfather Stan Carter (Timothy West) being diagnosed with terminal cancer and begging to be euthanized, and Matt has confessed he struggles to unwind after filming.
Speaking about his return to the role last year after six year break, he shared: "I worked through all my holidays last year. And I did some scenes the other day with Timothy West. I was sobbing my heart out. That can only be raw.
"You have to think of things that make you cry because I can't just cry on cue.
"Then when you go to that place in your head and you're crying your eyes out for 20 minutes, then the scene is done, and you're just in your dressing room crying for like an hour, on your own, You're like 'F**k!'
"You can't shake it off because those things are still in your head and you're still really upset. You open that door and it all comes flooding out. I'm not overly emotional, so when I do get emotional I find it hard to switch it off. I go to different things... things best left alone in those recesses of the brain."
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant - who admits he's no longer in touch with his professional partner and ex-girlfriend Flavia Cacace - claims it would be a good idea to have a psychiatrist on the set of the BBC One soap for when scenes get too demanding.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "An on-site psychiatrist? Genius idea. An on-set psychiatrist everyone can use - not just the actors, I'm sure someone in every department could do with talking to someone about how stressful it is."
Matt's character returned to Albert Square in last night's (18.02.15) episode of 'EastEnders' after being chased out of Walford by Linda's husband Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and will be seen taking their daughter Nancy (Maddy Hill) hostage when she catches him trying to burn down the Queen Vic pub in tonight's (19.02.15) episode.

Jo Joyner accidentally referred to Ian Beale by his real name in 'EastEnders' last night (18.02.15).
The 37-year-old actress reprised her role as Tanya Cross during the live episode to attend her pal Jane's (Laurie Brett) wedding to Ian (Adam Woodyatt) but was heard asking, "How is Adam?" instead of, "How is Ian?"
However, Jo - who played Max Branning's (Jake Wood) wife in the BBC One soap from 2006-2013 - managed to see the funny side of her mistake and poked fun at herself on Twitter after filming.
She wrote: "You never answered me @LauriebrettX how is @AdamWoodyatt?... #leastyouknowitslive #gutted (sic)."
The blonde beauty - who is set to star alongside former 'Coronation Street' actress Michelle Keegan in new BBC drama 'Ordinary Lies' - was clearly nervous about her return to the popular drama having expressed her nerves earlier in the day.
