EastEnders’ Jake Wood hints he may know who killed Lucy Beale

‘EastEnders’ actor Jake Wood has hinted he knows who killed Lucy Beale.

The 42-year-old star has revealed executive producer Dominic Treadwell Collins may have told him who is to be revealed as the blonde beauty’s killer as part of the BBC One soap’s 30th anniversary episodes tonight (19.02.15).

Asked if he knows who did it yet, he said: "Maybe, possibly. I couldn’t possibly say, but yeah. Obviously things are having to be revealed to the cast round about now. So I’m as blown away as everyone will be when they watch the episode tonight."

The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant, who plays Max Branning, went on to admit he’d be thrilled if his on-screen ex-wife Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner) returned to the show for good after her appearance in last night’s episode (18.02.15).

Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ this morning (19.02.15), he said: "It’s been a joy to have Jo back for this week, I think our characters work incredibly well and I think it’s a bit of a treat for the audience.

"They like to see Max and Tanya back together. I’d love Jo to come back longer term but obviously that’s up to her, she’s got other things in the timeline so we’ll have to wait and see."

Meanwhile, one of Jake’s on-screen daughters, Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) has confessed she’s yet to find out whether she killed Lucy (Hetti Bywater).

She told ITV’s ‘This Morning’: "I mean it could be [me], I could get a tap on the shoulder today like, ‘Yeah, you did actually kill her’. But it would be interesting."
