Lucy Fallon celebrated Coronation Street debut with curry

Lucy Fallon celebrated starring in her first episode of 'Coronation Street' with a curry.
The 19-year-old actress - who plays Bethany Platt on the ITV soap - has revealed her mother threw a family party and cooked up a feast as they watched her make her debut in the popular soap.
She said: "When they rang me to say I had got it I couldn't believe it. My mum made a Corrie curry."
Lucy - whose character is 14-years-old on the show - was only offered the part after bosses discovered their first choice, Katie Redford, had lied about her age.
Katie, who was 25 at the time, told producers she was 19 so she would be allowed to play the daughter of Sarah Platt, played by Tina O'Brien, 31.
Speaking on 'This Morning', Lucy still appeared a little shocked that she had eventually landed the role.
She told hosts Amanda Holden and Philip Schofield: "Everything moves so quickly, I had got it, I hadn't got it, then I was meeting everyone and then I was on it."
Tina added that the larger age-gap between the on-screen mother and daughter is better suited to the show's storyline.
She said: "In real life there is a 12 year age gap and on the show it's 13 years".

James May and Richard Hammond to quit Top Gear?

James May and Richard Hammond have hinted they will not continue as 'Top Gear' presenters following Jeremy Clarkson's dismissal.
The controversial host was sacked by the BBC yesterday after it was revealed he'd launched a 20-minute tirade of verbal abuse followed by a 30-second physical attack on producer Oisin Tymon and his co-hosts have now suggested they may not agree to return without him.
James may said that he is ready to go "back to normal life" and is considering taking up a more normal job, such as being a teacher.
He's reported by MailOnline as saying: "I might want to do something completely different with my life, I'm quite old now. [I might do] something outside of cars, I always wanted to be a teacher."
The 52-year-old star claims he's not yet spoken to Jeremy, 54, about him being fired but appeared to confirm reports he's planning to quit the show.
May shared: "I always said that on the day it ends for me I'll have to be magnanimous and look back and say, 'Well that was a stroke of luck, now back to normal life', and that seems to have happened.
"We did it for 12 years. It's a very big moment in our lives, but nothing was going to last forever. We always knew it wasn't going to last forever. We just didn't know how it was going to end.
"So here I go, 'I'm about to eat some beans and go back to my normal life."
Speaking about the BBC's decision to sack Jeremy, James added: "It was a very harsh one, but I think they were probably forced.
"I don't actually know the entire story. A lot of people are making judgements about it, but they don't know the full story either so I don't know.
"This only happened yesterday. We have to spend a lot of time thinking about what we do next."
Clarkson was dropped by the broadcaster after an internal inquiry found he'd launched an "unprovoked" attack on Tymon - who had to take himself to A&E following the incident - after he was offered a plate of cold food instead of steak and chips after a shoot.
However, Hammond also appears to be standing by his close pal and colleague.
He wrote on Twitter yesterday (25.03.15): "Gutted at such a sad end to an era. We're all three of us idiots in our own different ways but it's been an incredible ride together. (sic)"

Ricky Wilson wants to play Poirot

Ricky Wilson wants to play Hercules Poirot.
The 'Voice' judge is reportedly a big fan of the TV detective from the long-running series 'Agatha Christie's Poirot', which is based on the novels by the crime author, and wants to take on the role himself.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Ricky says his ideal job would be to play Poirot. He spends his nights off watching re-runs of the show and would love to do a remake."
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman - who underwent a makeover before he joined 'The Voice' - recently split from his girlfriend of five years, TV producer Lesley Williams, and has blamed his job on the BBC singing competition for their break-up.
He said previously: "I took the risk of putting myself out there and I knew it was going to change me.
"I feel quite uncomfortable that I dragged someone else in who didn't want that. It's a huge part of my life and I find it tricky that I dragged someone else in who didn't want that. It's a huge part of my life and I find it tricky that I can't have it both ways."

Downton Abbey series six to be the last

ITV has confirmed series six of 'Downton Abbey' will be the last.
Carnival Films, the producer of the hit period drama, and ITV have confirmed the upcoming sixth series will be the final instalment following numerous reports the show was coming to an end.
Julian Fellowes, the writer, creator and executive producer of 'Downton Abbey', said: "The Downton journey has been amazing for everyone aboard. People ask if we knew what was going to happen when we started to make the first series and the answer is that, of course we had no idea.
"Exactly why the series had such an impact and reached so many people around the world, all nationalities, all ages, all types, I cannot begin to explain.
"But I do know how grateful we are to have been allowed this unique experience. I suspect the show will always be a principal marker in most of our careers as we set out from here, and if so, I consider that a blessing and a compliment."
Gareth Neame - who is the managing director of Carnival and is also an executive producer of 'Downton' - announced the sixth series will see the stories of characters including the Earl of Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) and Lady Mary Crawley (Michelle Dockery) come to a fitting end.
He shared: "Millions of people around the world have followed the journey of the Crawley family and those who serve them for the last five years. Inevitably there comes a time when all shows should end and Downton is no exception.
"We wanted to close the doors of 'Downton Abbey' when it felt right and natural for the storylines to come together and when the show was still being enjoyed so much by its fans.
"We can promise a final season full of the usual drama and intrigue, but with the added excitement of discovering how and where they all end up..."
The show has been a hit worldwide and celebrities including Cate Blanchett, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and even the rapper P Diddy have come out as fans while Hollywood actor George Clooney made a cameo appearance in a special sketch of the show for charity.
'Downton Abbey' series six is set to conclude with a Christmas special later this year, according to Bonneville.

Jeremy Clarkson to face ‘action’ from police

Jeremy Clarkson may face "action" from the police after being sacked by the BBC.
The 54-year-old presenter was axed as one of the hosts of 'Top Gear' yesterday (25.03.15) following an inquiry into an incident that took place between him and Oisin Tymon which resulted in the producer visiting A&E and it's now been revealed the police have asked the BBC for its report into the bust up and plan to quiz Clarkson over the attack.
A police statement said: "Action will be taken where necessary."
The broadcaster's director general Tony Hall announced that he felt he had "little choice" but to fire Clarkson after reading the results of BBC Scotland director Ken MacQuarrie's investigation into the incident and finding that he had "crossed a line".
The controversial star was reported to have launched a 20-minute verbal tirade of "derogatory and abusive language" at Tymon before engaging him in 30-second physical attack after the producer failed to provide him with a hot meal at a hotel in Yorkshire following a shoot.
Clarkson is said to have been unimpressed with the cold platter of meats and cheeses that was provided because the kitchen had already closed and demanded he be cooked a steak.
Hall announced that Clarkson - who is reported by the Daily Mirror to have called Tymon a "lazy Irish ****" before threatening to have him sacked and leaving him with a split lip - will not be handed another contract once his current deal expires at the end of the month.
He said: "I cannot condone what has happened on this occasion ... For me a line has been crossed. There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations."

Ruth Langsford bans Eamonn Holmes from Celebrity Big Brother

Ruth Langsford has banned Eamonn Holmes from appearing on 'Celebrity Big Brother' because she doesn't want people to see him in his pants.
The 'This Morning' host, 55, is refusing to let her co-star and husband star on the Channel 5 reality series, claiming she won't "have people see what [he's] really like," after he was asked to appear on the show.
Eamonn, 55, said: "I have been asked to do Celebrity Big Brother and I say to Ruth, 'I don't think we can ignore this now.' She is like, 'That is not happening. I am not having people see what you're really like. You and your underwear.' It boils down to my underwear why I am not allowed to go on."
The Sky News anchor, who has been criticised in the past over his weight, added he would rather have a "personality" than be "thin" and c**p".
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I could give you a list of people who are thin, c**p and have no personality, I just work hard. The gods up there dictate."
Eamonn has been asked by show bosses to enter the house following a brief guest appearance on last year's series which saw Katie Price crowned queen of the house over Katie Hopkins.

David Walliams signs up for Britain’s Got Talent 2016

David Walliams has signed up for next year's 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The comedian - who will star on this year's series alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden when it returns to screens next month - has revealed he has already agreed to stay on the ITV show for the tenth season, which will begin filming in 2016.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Unless I do something awful then yes, I will be back next year."
David, 43, also addressed a cryptic tweet he sent boss Simon at the end of last year's show, which hinted that he was planning to quit
The 'Little Britain' star admitted he had considered leaving but now sees it would have been "foolish" to exit the show.
He said: "I felt I'd done three years on the show and that's sometimes enough. I was also out of contract so it was up to 'Britain's Got Talent' to ask me to come back. Fortunately they did. It is a really fun show, there's nothing like it.
"We've got a really great panel and I love the chemistry. Most of the time it's a really happy experience and I would've been foolish to leave it."
Meanwhile, David's co-stars Alesha and Amanda are yet to broker new deals to star on the tenth series.

Elliott Wright quits The Only Way Is Essex

Elliott Wright has quit 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The father-of-two revealed to his on-off girlfriend Chloe Sims that he is moving back to Spain - where his children and former partner live - to pursue more business opportunities on last night's (25.03.15) episode of the ITVBe show.
He said: "An opportunity to open a restaurant in Marbella has come up and I'm going to take it. It means me leaving Essex. I don't know if we can work it out. If I do go, I'm going to miss you."
Chloe was visibly shocked by his revelation, replying: "You've just dropped a bomb that you might be leaving Essex."
Chloe and Elliott first got together last summer after Elliott joined the show earlier in the year but they've since broken up numerous times, with the hunk admitting he has to focus on his kids now.
He added: "I don't want to go over there thinking about if you and me could have worked out."
Elliott is believed to have joined the show in an attempt to follow in the footsteps of his cousin Mark Wright, who has launched a successful career as a TV presenter since quitting the show on which he was one of the original cast members.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Elliott can no longer commit to six weeks of intensive filming in Essex, giving his commitments in Spain.
"It's a shame, as he really wanted to use the show as a launch pad to bigger things.
"Mark was his inspiration but sadly he's not been quite as successful.
"He hasn't closed the door completely on TOWIE but accepts it will be hard to be a regular presence."
The hunk will appear in the remaining episodes of the current series, which concludes on Easter Sunday (05.03.15) and will also feature in the upcoming Marbella specials as he will be living and working in the holiday destination.

BBC boss refuses to rule out Jeremy Clarkson return

A senior BBC figure says Jeremy Clarkson could return to the corporation in the future.
The 54-year-old 'Top Gear' presenter was dropped by the broadcaster yesterday (25.03.15) after an inquiry into an altercation between him and producer Oisin Tymon resulted in the director general Tony Hall concluding that he'd "crossed a line", but BBC creative director Alan Yentob has refused to rule out Clarkson making a return in the future.
He told 'Newsnight': "Of course I wouldn't rule that out, but that's not for now."
The BBC has so far refused to officially comment on the futures of fellow 'Top Gear' presenters Richard Hammond and James May, who have worked together on the show since 2003.
However, Yentob said it was "perfectly natural" for the presenters to have reservations about continuing with the programme.
He reflected: "They are a team - they have worked together for a very long time, they are all very attached.
"The question of what happens next for Top Gear is a conversation which must go on between the controller of BBC Two Kim Shillinglaw, between Andy [Wilman - producer of Top Gear], and the team."
Meanwhile, Hammond tweeted on Wednesday (25.03.15): "Gutted at such a sad end to an era. We're all three of us idiots in our different ways but it's been an incredible ride together."
