James ‘Arg’ Argent to climb Snowdonia for charity

James 'Arg' Argent is to climb Snowdonia for charity.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star is one of a number of celebrities who will join TV presenters Matt Johnson and Anna Williamson for the ambitious Mind 3000s challenge, which will see them trek through the night in perilous conditions to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.
He said of his decision to take part: "Over the past few months I've realised how important it is to have support around you when you're going through a tough time ... Things have been hard for me lately but I feel exceptionally lucky - I have come through the other side with the love and care of those close to me. Now I want to help make sure other people can do the same."
Arg will join 'Fortitude' actor Nicholas Pinnock on Matt's Team Wales and will go up against Team England, which will be captained by Anna and made up of former 'Loose Women' panellist Denise Welch, Gail Porter and news presenter Emma Crosby.
While Team Wales have been tasked with tackling the heights of Snowdonia in the head-to-head 24 hour, 50km trek across 50ft mountains, Team England will complete the same gruelling expedition in the Lake District.
The two teams of 24 - which also feature some of Mind's supporters - will compete to complete the trek in the fastest time and to raise the most money.
The celebrities - who all have their own personal reasons for taking part - have set the ambitious target of raising £50,000 for Mind to help the charity meet the 50% increase in demand for their Infoline in the last two years.

Sam Heughan finds filming sex scenes ‘weird’

Sam Heughan found filming sex scenes in front of the 'Outlander' production crew "weird".
The 34-year-old actor, who plays Jamie Fraser in the new Amazon Prime Instant Video series based on the books by Diana Gabaldon, has confessed he found shooting intimate scenes with his on-screen love interest Caitriona Balfe, who plays a World War II nurse who is thrown back in time, uncomfortable.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We're all very aware that sex scenes can't be gratuitous. We don't want it to be softcore stuff, it really has to drive the story forwards. I think, for the writer and director it's about what the audience need and what we want them to reveal.
"On the day of filming, you've obviously got to be very comfortable with it. I mean, in particular, with the first scenes it's very much about getting them to know each other. You know, it's young love, it's new, it's awkward... but that kind of all helps in playing it.
"With so many people standing around and watching, that is kind of weird."
The 'A Princess for Christmas' star revealed he had to hire a personal trainer to ensure he was in peak physical condition for the role.
He explained: "I packed on about a stone or maybe even a stone and a half to prepare. We just did a lot of functional fitness work, because it's a very physical role. There's lots of fighting and horse riding - just like a Highland warrior. That's been a really fun part of the job, it's part of the challenge."
Sam also admitted one of his favourite things about the show is being able to explore his culture.
He added: "I am a proud Scotsman and I think doing the show has furthered my sense of pride. I love the history of Scotland, I love the landscape. It's a place where the past is very much the present. If you go around Scotland, you still see castles and battle sites."
'Outlander' series 1 is available on Amazon Prime Instant Video now.

Piers Morgan to guest host Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan will guest host 'Good Morning Britain' in April.
The former 'Britain's Got Talent' judge will step in to present the ITV weekday programme from April 13 to April 17 alongside regular host Susanna Reid while Ben Shephard is away, as fellow host Charlotte Hawkins is still on maternity leave.
The popular breakfast show - which launched last year - airs between 6am and 8.30am, although Piers joked the early mornings should not be a problem for him because he has a young daughter, Elise, who frequently wakes him up at the crack of dawn.
He said: "I'm very excited to be joining Susanna and the GMB team for a week. Thanks to my 3-year-old daughter's sleeping pattern, I've been waking up at 4am for quite a while now. So the early starts shouldn't present any problem."
The father-of-four previously had a three-year stint as the host of CNN evening show 'Piers Morgan Live' although it ended in March 2014 due to poor ratings.
In the UK, Piers has become a familiar face with his series 'Piers Morgan's Life Stories', now on its 12th series, which has seen him conduct in-depth interviews with stars including Sir Elton John, Joan Collins and Richard Branson.

Jeremy Clarkson’s Top Gear contract will not be renewed

Jeremy Clarkson has been sacked by the BBC.
The 'Top Gear' presenter was suspended from the show earlier this month after he was involved in a "fracas" with producer Oisin Tymon over a "catering issue" and the BBC are now reported to have completed their internal investigation with director general Tony Hall concluding that he has "little alternative" than to end his career on the show.
The inquiry - which was led by BBC Scotland boss Ken MacQuarrie - found that Clarkson had engaged Tymon in a 30-second physical assault after a 20-minute verbal tirade.
Hall has previously stood by the controversial presenter - who along with co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May attracts huge audiences on 'Top Gear' - but is said to feel as though he has no other choice than to not renew Clarkson's contract when his current one runs out at the end of the month.
A source close to the inquiry is reported by the Guardian newspaper as saying: "There can't be one rule for talent and one rule for ordinary human beings."
The BBC will continue to make 'Top Gear', however, but it is so far unclear who will replace Clarkson and whether Hammond and May will decide to stay on the show without their colleague of over a decade.
BBC Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans was reportedly in the running for the job but he's now shot down the rumours as "nonsense".
He said on his 'The Chris Evans Breakfast Show' earlier today (25.03.15): "This is not true. Not only is it not true - it's absolute nonsense."
Although the BBC are expected to announce their decision not to renew Clarkson's contract later today (25.03.15), a spokesman has said: "No decision has been made. When we have an outcome, we will announce it."

Jodie Marsh enjoyed ‘flirty banter’ with drug dealer

Jodie Marsh enjoyed "flirty banter" with a drug dealer on her new show.
The 36-year-old model-turned TV presenter used her boobs to her advantage in an attempt to get good answers from a dealer on her latest show, 'Jodie Marsh on ... Drugs', and admitted her asset-focused technique was a lot more effective than if she'd conducted a "serious and heavy" interview.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "One of the drug dealers I talk to in tonight's (25.03.15) show we were kind of having a bit of flirty banter. There was almost flirting going on.
"But I think that was cool and that was needed in that situation, otherwise it could've got too serious and too heavy.
"I wanted answers out of him and I realised very early on that the only way I was going to get answers was if he really, really liked me.
"So I used my goods, what I have as a woman. I flirted with him to get the answers I wanted and it worked.
"I'd rather flirt with someone to get answers than be horrible to them."
While she spoke to several drug dealers and gangsters in potentially-dangerous situations as she shot the show, Jodie admits she didn't ever fear for her safety and actually quite enjoyed the aspect of danger that came with filming the programme.
She added: "There were measures taken for our safety but I never really got scared about it. I'm a bit of a weirdo like that because I got excited about it.
"I got blindfolded in the car to meet a gangster and I was like, 'Woo hoo!' I loved it.
"It's always hard trying to get people to talk on camera. I don't know if it's me and they know I'm a nice person and I'm not going to mug them off because I'm not sarcastic or horrible, or just because I'm a glamour girl and they like my boobs?
"Either way they're quite excited about being interviewed by me."
'Jodie Marsh On... Drugs' airs Wednesday at 10pm on TLC.

James Tindale to be first Geordie Shore star on Strictly Come Dancing?

James Tindale wants to be the first 'Geordie Shore' star to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 24-year-old star quits the MTV show in the upcoming tenth series and he's confessed he's looking forward to trying new things and would love to do more reality TV.
Asked if he'd like to be the first member of the cast to take part in the BBC One ballroom contest, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "You know what? I would actually think about that.
"I'm a pretty good mover like. I look good in a suit as well... just need some sparkles on it."
James previously claimed he'd be up for entering the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house but he's now admitted he thinks he'd find it boring and would rather do shows where you learn a skill or have to complete tasks.
He said: "I don't think I could hack that [CBB]. I'd be climbing the walls. I'd rather do something a bit more exciting."
The hunk - who has been in a relationship with girlfriend Kate Thorne for over two years now - confessed his changing lifestyle meant he got "bored" of being in the 'Geordie Shore' house.
He laughed: "I might pop back in now and again because that's what I'll miss... just seeing everyone and having a night out, but having like 36 nights out in a row, nah I'm okay like."
Quizzed on whether he's planning to settle down with Kate now, he added: "We're already pretty settled down but no wedding bells. [What about having a baby?] Nah, maybe when I'm thirty.
"We're talking about getting another dog but one's enough for the minute."
'Geordie Shore' series 10 kicks off on April 7 at 10pm only on MTV.

Royals cast want Meryl Streep to play fairy godmother

Alexandra Park wants Meryl Streep to play her fairy godmother on 'The Royals'.
The brunette beauty - who stars as Princess Eleanor opposite Elizabeth Hurley, William Moseley and Merritt Patterson on the new E! series - admitted she would love the 65-year-old actress to join the cast as her magical helper.
When asked if there was anyone they would like to join them on the show, the cast all agreed the Academy Award-winner was the obvious choice.
William exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Meryl Streep!"
Merritt agreed: "Streep! Alex and I both go there. If you're going to go big go to the top. She'd have to play like the king's mother."
After William pointed out that "the king's already got a mother on the show", Alex offered a solution, adding: "[She could be] the fairy godmother."
The cast also confessed they have their eyes on a British actor to take on a starring role and have considered asking their co-star Elizabeth, 49 - who plays Queen Helena - to enquire whether her former flame Hugh Grant, whom she dated from 1987 to 2000, would be up for a part.
Alex explained: "I reckon Hugh Grant would be good. He'd be a good Uncle Hugh.
"He'd be really good. Maybe we could talk to Elizabeth and get that to happen. Maybe not. But it's a dream. It would be a hoot."
William added it has been "awesome" working alongside Elizabeth, whom he describes as both "professional" and "supportive".
He said: "She's great. She's very professional. She's on time. She hits her mark. She's very supportive of all of us. She likes a joke. She's awesome."
'The Royals' starts tonight (25.03.15) at 9pm on E!

Jeremy Clarkson sacked by BBC after ‘crossing a line’

Jeremy Clarkson "crossed a line" when he launched a physical and verbal attack on a producer, according to the BBC director general Tony Hall.
The 'Top Gear' host will not have his contract renewed when his current one expires at the end of the month after an inquiry into an incident that took place between him and producer Oisin Tymon - in which Clarkson was alleged to have punched him in a row over a steak - earlier this month found that his behaviour had been unacceptable.
Hall said in a statement: "It is with great regret that I have told Jeremy Clarkson today that the BBC will not be renewing his contract. It is not a decision I have taken lightly. I have done so only after a very careful consideration of the facts and after personally meeting both Jeremy and Oisin Tymon."
The producer is said to have visited Accident and Emergency after Clarkson involved him in a "physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature".
Hall shared: "I cannot condone what has happened on this occasion ... For me a line has been crossed. There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations."
The inquiry into the altercation - which is reported to have taken place because Tymon failed to provide Clarkson with a hot meal when the kitchen at their hotel closed after filming - was led by BBC Scotland director Ken MacQuarrie and his findings have now been made public.
MacQuarrie stated that "the physical attack lasted around 30 seconds and was halted by the intervention of a witness".
He also insisted that Tymon "offered no retaliation" after becoming the main target of Clarkson's "derogatory and abusive language", which included threats that led him to believe "he had lost his job".
Although Hall also confessed in his statement that he is a "great fan" of Clarkson - who "made a number of attempts" to apologise to Tymon in the days after the attack - and his work, he insisted "no blame attaches" to the producer.
He added: "This has obviously been difficult for everyone involved but in particular for Oisin. I want to make clear that no blame attaches to him for this incident. He has behaved with huge integrity throughout."
The BBC are now looking into how they can "put out" the last programmes in the current series of 'Top Gear', and how "to renew" the show for 2016.
Following Jeremy's dismissal, names including Jodie Kidd, Chris Evans and Steve Coogan have been linked to his job.

Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas likes older women

'Emmerdale' actor Adam Thomas likes older women.
The 27-year-old star has confessed he enjoys being a toy boy and is thrilled his character Adam Barton is set to have a one night stand with cougar Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) on the ITV soap.
He said: "Well, Adam Barton likes the older woman and Adam Thomas likes the older woman as well so I was quite pleased!"
Adam's character sleeps with Vanessa after his girlfriend Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) rejects his marriage proposal and he's confessed that although he enjoyed playing out the storyline, Adam will be left feeling guilty about his fling when he and Victoria get back together.
He explained: "Afterwards Adam is in turmoil and he just feels sick inside. He knows that he's got a good girl but he's messed things up again. He wants to keep things sweet with Vanessa, so he tries to tell her not to say anything. She wants to say something, but Adam threatens her a little bit and says that she can't."
However, Adam later changes his mind after getting back together with Victoria and decides to tell her about his night with Vanessa.
According to Digital Spy, Ryan - whose brother Ryan Thomas plays Jason Grimshaw in 'Coronation Street' - added: "Yeah, once Adam gets back with Victoria, he wants to be honest in his relationship so he wants to tell her the truth.
"He can't tell her face-to-face, so he ends up leaving her a voicemail message to tell her! At the time he thinks it's a good idea but then Aaron says, 'What the hell are you doing, you plonker?! It's not the best way to do it'. So Adam needs a way to get out of that mess."
