Sir Bruce Forsyth admits 'Strictly Come Dancing' isn't the show he "thought it would be".
The 87-year-old entertainer stood down from his role as co-host of the BBC One ballroom dance contest last year and has now admitted he doesn't miss it because it never lived up to his expectations.
He said: "I don't miss doing Strictly. It's not the show I thought it would be.
"I thought it would be a comedy show, me getting amongst the contestants and showing them how to dance, them all falling all over the place, it was a different show."
The former 'The Generation Game' host confessed that while he didn't necessarily enjoy his time on 'Strictly', he can appreciate why people love it so much.
Speaking on ITV's 'This Morning', he admitted: "It's a great show and I love it from a point of view that I envy the dancers having the energy that they have and knowing that I used to do all that kind of thing."
Sir Bruce is now set to return to live theatre with his one-man show 'Bruce Forsyth Entertains' and has compared the feeling he gets while stood on stage to taking drugs.
He explained: "I've never been into drugs but it's probably like a drug, you get that wonderful feeling that they either love you or they could hate you ... You feel 10ft tall and feel like a man, it's that kind of feeling."

Gregg Wallace has postponed his wedding to Anne-Marie Sterpini.
The 'MasterChef' judge has been forced to scrap his plans to tie the knot to the 29-year-old beauty this year due to filming commitments but insists the marriage will go ahead in 2016.
Gregg - who has been married three times before - said: "I'm really busy filming this year and couldn't commit to a date because we want some time off to have a honeymoon. It'll be next year now and both Anne-Marie and me are looking forward to it."
The 50-year-old star - who had children Tom and Libby with second wife Denise - is also said to have pushed his nuptials back to ensure he can splash plenty of cash on the catering for the big day.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It's no secret Gregg has had problems with his businesses and weddings aren't cheap. He knows he's got to get the food spot-on or everyone will be making comments. He may have been a bit hasty when they were newly engaged and he's now realised next year is much more realistic. It's a blow."
The former greengrocer proposed to Anne-Marie in December, two years after meeting her on Twitter.

Zoe Lucker will be at the centre of a child sexual abuse storyline when she makes her 'Hollyoaks' debut.
The 40-year-old actress has joined the soap as Reenie McQueen - the incarcerated mother of Porsche, Celine and Cleo McQueen - and her first major plotline will see her eldest daughter reveal her mum's boyfriend Pete sexually assaulted her when she was 15.
However, after Porsche confided in her mother, Pete convinced Reenie that the teenager had propositioned him and her refusal to believe her daughter led to the girls leaving the family home.
A soap source said: "The McQueen sisters - Porsche, Celine and Cleo - came to Hollyoaks to escape from an unhappy home life and the memory of Reenie's boyfriend, Pete.
"The sisters had never confided in each other about Pete's inappropriate behaviour, which they had all experienced to varying degrees, so the extent of the danger he posed within the family was never revealed.
"When Pete comes back into their lives troubled Reenie desperately wants him to stay and the girls want their mum to be in a happier place - but letting him into their home brings with it devastating consequences."
'Hollyoaks' have been working with the NSPCC on the storyline and hope it will assist in directing young people to find help and support and also to recognise if a friend could be vulnerable to abuse.
Zoe said: "I have been involved in the story from very early on and have been lucky enough to have worked with Jon Brown and his team at the NSPCC.
"For me 'no secrets' is about, as an adult, thinking carefully about what you ask children to do and say. Even giving a child sweets as a treat and saying 'don't tell your mum', is sending the wrong message to a child.
"We want children to know that someone asking them to keep a secret is wrong and that message needs to start at home because sadly that can still be an unsafe place for some children."
NAPAC - which supports people who were abused in childhood - have also been involved in the researching of the storyline, in particular the effect of generational abuse within a family.

Michelle Keegan has landed her first film role.
The 27-year-old actress - who is currently starring in BBC drama 'Ordinary Lies' - is set to star opposite former 'Shameless' actor Stephen Lord in 'Strangeways Here We Come', a comedy drama about a loan shark's downfall.
Stephen said: "We are thrilled at being able to present Michelle Keegan her first film role and she is embracing her character, Demi, fully, testing herself as an actress and showing no signs of being afraid of getting down and dirty with the rest of our great cast...Michelle is very excited about the film and the challenge."
Michelle, who played Tina McIntyre in ITV soap 'Coronation Street' for six years before her character was killed off in May last year, will be playing a "fragile and introverted character" in the upcoming film.
Stephen told the Manchester Evening News: "[Michelle's] character is prominent in the film and she has some intense and also funny moments and there is a real nice arc to her character's journey. Demi battles with many insecurities as a young girl on the estate and is quite an anxious, fragile and introverted character."
While Michelle may be engaged to Essex boy Mark Wright, she isn't leaving her northern roots behind with this film as it's set in Salford and was written and is to be directed by the city's very own Chris Green.
Stephen added: "I hope the making of the film in Salford will be uplifting and inspiring to people."

Stevie McCrorie wants to keep his job as a fireman after being crowned winner of 'The Voice'.
The 30-year-old hunk - who won the BBC singing competition last weekend - has revealed he's "in talks" to hold on to his job in the fire brigade in case his music career doesn't work out.
He said: "I'm starting a career, and I only just started a new career two years ago. It was hard, and that's what's scary.
"I might have to quit a job I worked so hard to get into.
"I'm hoping the fire service help me and let me get back into it. I'm kind of in talks at the moment."
The Scottish singer - whose cover of 'Lost Stars' reached the top of the midweek charts - is giving himself a year to find stardom whilst keeping his options open.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I hate the world fail, because I don't want that to be an option, but sometimes it's not in your control.
"I'm realistic. I'm going to stay fit, because I think it's important."
Stevie - who has two-year-old daughter Bibi with wife Amy - added: "After a year you get a feel for whether this is happening. If I can play gig venues, festivals, have a fan base and make a living from it and give my family a nice home.
"We're in an ex-council house at the moment. My dream is to have a log fire."

Lydia Bright would be "really embarrassed" if James 'Arg' Argent proposed to her on TV.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star has confessed she'd be mortified if her "childhood sweetheart", whom she got back together with on the series finale of the ITVBe show on Sunday (05.04.15), popped the question live on air.
Asked on ITV's 'Lorraine' what she'd do if he showed up and proposed in front of the cameras, Lydia said: "Oh my gosh if he did it here I would be really embarrassed, I would end up probably running off."
Lydia agreed to get back with Arg - who spent time in rehab following his suspension from TOWIE last year - after asking him to write her a letter listing every time he'd cheated on her in the past.
And she now insists they've put their problems behind them.
She shared: "Do you know what? We are like childhood sweethearts, we have been together for a long time and we met each other when we were kids so I think that you know, we are always going to have that connection and I'm really happy right now."
However, the blonde beauty insists she's not yet ready to walk down the aisle despite both her and James claiming they want to grow old together.
She added: "I'm still quite young at the moment, I'm 24. Naturally, as relationships progress, that's probably the way it will lead. Scary!"

Alistair McGowan will appear as Jimmy Savile in a London play.
The TV impressionist has signed up for the production's month-long run this summer, which will be an on-stage depiction of the disgraced entertainer's shocking sex abuse scandal.
The former 'Top of the Pops' host died at the age of 84 in 2011, with hundreds of victims coming forward to reveal they had been abused by the star following his death, making him one of Britain's most prolific sex offenders.
The production - which runs from June 10 until July 11 at Park Theatre in north London - will see Alistair portray the late star's "dark, nasty side," according to writer Jonathan Maitland, who praised the "terrific" award-winning impressionist for taking on the controversial role.
Despite the raw nature of the show, Jonathan insisted it would be "giving a voice to the victims" and said they would not be "making jokes," instead saying he believes "people are ready" to learn about the extent of Jimmy Savile's abuse.
He told The Guardian newspaper: "It is one of the biggest stories of the last five years.
"It has changed everything; it has changed the way we look at abuse, it has changed the way we prosecute it, it has changed attitudes towards it, the way we treat the survivors of it.
"What person would not want to explore what kicked it off?"

Rylan Clark thought he'd healed Kevin McHale, who plays wheelchair bound Artie Abrams in 'Glee', when he stood up upon meeting him.
The 26-year-old actor - who admits people often think he too needs a wheelchair - met the 'Big Brother's Bit On The Side' presenter on the set of his E4 panel show 'Virtually Famous' and found it hilarious when Rylan "freaked out" because he was able to stand.
Kevin exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The one who had the biggest reaction was Rylan, actually. He properly thought I was in a wheelchair and he freaked out when I got up to shake his hand. He lost it. He was like, 'I thought I was the healing hand! I had no idea!'"
And although he admits it was very different playing a disabled student in the popular US show because he is able-bodied, Kevin insisted he finds it easier to play a character than convey his own personality on TV, as he does on 'Virtually Famous'.
He added: "Actually it's harder to be yourself, I find it easier playing a character, so in general it is hard for me to just be me. But it's also weird being recognised for something else other than 'Glee'."
Virtually Famous, Mondays at 10pm on E4.
