Happy Valley, Marvellous, The Missing and Line of Duty lead BAFTA TV nominations


‘Happy Valley’, ‘Marvellous’, ‘The Missing’ and ‘Line of Duty’ lead the House of Fraser British Academy Television Award nominations with three nods each.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has today (08.04.15) announced the nominations for the annual awards ceremony, which is set to take place at London’s Theatre Royal on Sunday May 10, with the BBC’s three crime dramas and the TV movie ‘Marvellous’ receiving three nominations each.

‘Marvellous’, which is based on the true story of Neil Baldwin, is nominated for the Single Drama, Leading Actor and Supporting Actress Awards with Toby and Gemma Jones up for the acting accolades.

Sarah Lancashire, who won the Supporting Actress award at last year’s ceremony, is this year nominated for Leading Actress for her role in ‘Happy Valley’ with the Yorkshire-set crime thriller also up for the Drama Series and Supporting Actor categories.

James Nesbitt received a nomination for Leading Actor for Drama Series nominee ‘The Missing’, which also sees Ken Scott nominated for Supporting Actor.

‘Line of Duty’ meanwhile has received nominations in the Leading Actress and Supporting Actress categories for Keeley Hawes and Vicky McClure’s respective performances as well as for Drama Series.

Meanwhile, ‘The Graham Norton Show’ host Graham Norton, ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ funnymen Ant & Dec, ‘Celebrity Juice’ presenter Leigh Francis (Keith Lemon) and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ co-host Claudia Winkleman are all up for the Entertainment Performance award.
