Gemma Atkinson was ‘nervous’ about kissing Michael Parr

Gemma Atkinson was "nervous" about kissing her 'Emmerdale' co-star Michael Parr.
The former 'Hollyoaks' actress recently joined the ITV soap as Bob Hope's long-lost daughter Carly and has been locking lips with Michael's character, bad boy Ross Barton.
She said: "I've not done kissing scenes for a while so I was nervous. People think these things are romantic but they aren't.
"Luckily Mike was very professional. He's good fun to work with."
The 30-year-old star is dating her personal trainer Olly Foster in real life and claims he has no qualms about seeing her make out with the soap hunk on-screen.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "I'm a different person now. Since turning 30 I feel more in touch with what I want and what I will and won't accept.
"I love being in 'Emmerdale' and being home in less than 45 minutes.
"There's a power in saying, 'No', and nights out on the town are no longer a priority.
"Olly is very chilled and mellow. He thinks me being on telly is quite funny but he's not bothered by the celeb thing."
The blonde beauty - who previously dated footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Bent - also insisted she's not disappointed the Sexiest Male and Female accolades have been scrapped from this year's British Soap Awards.
Gemma added: "Soap's Sexiest Female Award will now forever be Michelle Keegan's crown.
"I think it's a good the category has been axed in a way, as it means we can concentrate on the acting.
"Ten years ago I would have done anything to win it. Now I couldn't care less."

Nikki Sanderson got whiplash on set

Nikki Sanderson suffered from whiplash after filming an altercation on the set of 'Hollyoaks'.
The 31-year-old actress - who has starred as Maxine Minniver on the Channel 4 soap since November 2012 - has revealed she "got bruising and whiplash" while filming scenes with her on screen partner Patrick Blake - played by Jeremy Sheffield - who abuses her.
It took the brunette beauty three weeks to recover from the incident although she insists she only has herself to blame.
She explained: "Jeremy is brilliant, we get on very well. We can push the boundaries. I would say, 'Do this harder, grab me more severely'.
"I did get hurt a few times. I got bruising and whiplash for three weeks because when he was supposed to have hit me I twisted too quickly.
"It was my own fault but when I hit the floor I didn't do it how they told me to land."
Nikki added she couldn't be happier that tackling the theme of domestic abuse in the series has encouraged real-life victims to speak out.
She said: "Lots of people have come up to me in the street or written to me.
"One time on Newsnight a woman was telling her story anonymously about how for years she was beaten and just thought that was normality.
"Then she said she started watching Hollyoaks and she realised she was in a domestic violence relationship. Eventually she called the numbers recommended at the end of the episodes.
"It was just in time because she said the beatings were getting so severe, the next time she thought she would have been dead."
The star also believes the show's gritty storylines have given it the upper hand over rival soaps and are responsible for landing it in the best soap and continuing drama prize categories at this year's TV Baftas.
She told The Sun newspaper: "Over the last couple of years Hollyoaks has worked really hard and strived to be at the forefront of soaps.
"For many years it was seen as the underdog but now it's doing extremely well."

Bobby Norris ready to be sperm donor to Gemma Collins

Bobby Norris says the offer of his sperm "is on the table" for Gemma Collins if she wants to have a baby.
The 'TOWIE' cast member insists he is willing to make a donation of his semen to his friend Gemma, 34, if she wants to become a mother but hasn't got a man in her life to conceive with.
When quizzed on her romantic status, he said: "I can't keep up! She's the lady to ask (about relationships) but the offer of sperm is still on the table. You never know - there could be a little Bobby and GC running around!"
Gemma - who previously admitted on 'The Only Way Is Essex' she believes she won't have kids as a punishment for a past abortion - has made no secret of her desire to start a family and confessed last year that she wanted to become a mum sooner rather than later.
Bobby also addressed the rumors his boisterous pal may be entering the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house, and if she does go in he's predicting she will do much better on that show than she did on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' which she quit after three days.
The fashion lover admitted: "I think she would be a great housemate - she's got the personality. I think she's more suited to that than the jungle. Gemma is one of those girls who likes her luxuries, she's more about scones and a cup of tea at the Dorchester than about a banger over a campfire."

Denise Black’s dramatic Emmerdale return

Denise Black is making a dramatic return to 'Emmerdale' - two years after she last appeared in the soap.
Denise - who plays Joanie Wright - will return next month at the centre of a storyline that will rock the village.
Joanie was last seen in the Dales in November 2013 when she was granted custody of her adoptive grandchild Kyle - the biological son of Amy Wyatt (Chelsea Halfpenny) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
On her return, Denise said: "I am very excited to be coming back to 'Emmerdale'. It's a lovely show to work on and I'm well set for Joanie's revival. I bet she has learned a thing or two since we last saw her. Is she still a single grandma? Has she changed? How is Kyle? I can't wait to find out."
Denise's storyline will reveal Joanie has fallen on hard times and has been living in temporary housing. Joanie ends up calling on Cain to lend her the money for a deposit on a flat for her and Kyle. She tries to blackmail him, knowing he doesn't want anything to do with his real son.
However, after getting mugged and losing the much-needed money, Joanie turns up at the Dingle family doorstep, in hope they will take pity on her and Kyle.
Denise will be seen back on TV screens from June.

Caroline Quentin feels ludicrously well

Caroline Quentin feels the healthiest she's ever been since she started eating a gluten-free diet.
The 54-year-old actress was diagnosed with coeliac disease several years ago, a genetic disorder which means any gluten ingested by the sufferer causes the immune system to turn inward and attack healthy gut tissue.
Since receiving the diagnosis and overhauling her eating habits, Caroline insists she has felt great by even the smallest amount of gluten triggers a reaction.
In an interview on 'This Morning', she said: "I feel so well now that I'm gluten free, and I've had my biopsy, I know I'm a coeliac. I'm gluten free and I feel really great - I didn't know how well I could feel ... It's ludicrous how well I feel. It's disgusting at how well and healthy I now feel - it's actually offensive!
"Most things you get offered at a party will have gluten in so it's very hard ... even the tiniest, small grain of rice size of gluten will affect me for weeks. Your system flares up very, very quickly and quite badly."
Caroline has previously revealed she suffered from "frequent nausea, mouth ulcers and skin rashes" and "often had to rush to the loo".
The former 'Men Behaving Badly' star is now a patron of the charity Coeliac UK and her goal is to inform people about the illness so they don't have to live in discomfort.
Speaking to hosts Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden ahead of Coeliac Awareness Week, she said: "I don't want anyone to go through what I went through. I should have addressed this years ago ... I think I've been living with it for about thirty years and it's a horrid thing and I can't imagine why I didn't deal with it earlier."

Graham Norton has wine before BAFTA TV Awards

Graham Norton always has a glass of wine to "take the edge off" before he hosts the BAFTA TV Awards.
The 52-year-old presenter is taking control of the ceremony for the ninth time and he admits he likes to have a tipple before standing in front of the star-studded audience to calm his nerves.
Speaking about what he does before the event starts, he said: "I brush my teeth - I think that's good. And I normally have a glass of wine. I mean, if there is no wine then I can't have it, but in an ideal world I'd have a glass of wine. It takes the edge off, and also it's just ... I like wine! I can see how Mariah Carey ends up with a basket of kittens, because somebody said, 'What would you like?' And she finally got to a basket of kittens."
Norton has rid himself of all other pre-show rituals because otherwise they became a self-fulfilling prophecy of disaster if they go wrong.
Speaking to website DigitalSpy, he explained: "Those things (rituals) become a kind of tyranny, and they're self-fulfilling prophecies. So if you don't have your lucky socks, you get to the venue and you don't have your lucky socks, you kind of think, 'Oh my God, it's going to be awful,' and it probably will be awful because you're willing it to be awful. So I've tried to get rid of all of those things that I ever did."
Despite being a veteran of the BAFTA TV Awards, Norton admits he still gets nervous before every ceremony because he feels under pressure to be funny in front of so many famous faces.
He said: "This one I do get nervous about, because the audience isn't a normal audience. It's not just the famous people. The famous people are off-putting enough, but then the rest of it is executives and directors and people who are just bored out of their minds. There's no excitement for them."
The House of Fraser BAFTA TV Awards take place on Sunday (10.05.15) at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London and will be broadcast on BBC One.

Kirk Norcross kicked off Ex On The Beach

Kirk Norcross has been booted off 'Ex On The Beach' for "aggressive behaviour".
The 27-year-old former 'Only Way is Essex' star was sent home from Mexico, where the latest series is being filmed, after he intimidated the cast and crew with his erratic behaviour.
A source said: "Show bosses simply didn't think Kirk's head was right."
The club promoter's actions were believed to have been sparked by the arrival of ex-fiancée Cami Li - who starred in last series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' - after which he broke his hand in three places by punching a wall.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "There were genuine worries about his unpredictable behaviour and they thought it was best he returned home.
"He was billed as a great signing but his suspect temper got the better of him on more than one occasion."
Kirk arrived home in Essex a week before the show wrapped, while US model Cami was also absent at the end of filming as she was only contracted for part of the show.
Since returning from South America, Kirk has admitted to his painful hand injury by revealing he continues to receive treatment.
He tweeted: "Back to hospital for me to see if today's the day they turn my hand into Meccano set."

Sinitta pleading with Simon Cowell to be X Factor judge

Sinitta keeps bombarding Simon Cowell with requests to be a judge on 'The X Factor'.
The 'Toy Boy' hitmaker is desperate for a seat on the panel but thinks her former boyfriend - who she has assisted numerous times in choosing his finalists at the Judges Houses stage of the competition - is too "scared" to give her a job.
She said: "Every year I plead with Simon to make me a judge - I sent him flowers, photo of me dressed up as a judge, voicemails of me singing about why I should have the job - the works.
"I think he's scared to have me as competition."
The 51-year-old star refused to confirm whether Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will return again this year but was impressed by how much she had changed last year compared to her first stint on the show.
She told Closer magazine: "When Cheryl first appeared on 'The X Factor', she was like a fragile little bird.
"She was battling a lot of heartache in her marriage [to Ashley Cole] and had lost a lot of weight due to the stress.
"When she came back last year, she was a different person. She had this new strength and confidence and was incredibly happy in her new marriage to JB."

Amy Childs dumps Botox and fillers

Amy Childs has vowed to avoid Botox and fillers.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' beauty therapist - who claims the current appearance of her lips is now only down to pouting and clever contouring - has ditched surgery because the taunts online about her unnatural look have been so upsetting.
Speaking to New! Magazine, she said: "People say awful things online and I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt.
"But it's my own fault, I know my lips have looked bad so I just have to take it. I do look back at the pictures and think I look like a freak. I went overboard and looked like Pete Burns at one point."
The 24-year-old beauty addict made the change after facing serious problems due to a botched lip filler job which left her needing corrective surgery.
She explained: "I had to have corrective surgery as one side was bigger than the other, more fool me for having my lips done in the first place.
"I've learned my lesson, I cried when I had it taken out as it hurt so much - I'm 24 years old, hun, and I think, 'why did I do that?'"
And Amy said she is now happy to have adopted a new toned-down look, and claims she has ditched the fake tan and eyelashes for good.
She added: "Back then I thought the more make-up the better, but that's not the case any more. It's fashionable to wear less make-up and fake tan now - I'm older and wiser."
