Sinitta keeps bombarding Simon Cowell with requests to be a judge on ‘The X Factor’.
The ‘Toy Boy’ hitmaker is desperate for a seat on the panel but thinks her former boyfriend – who she has assisted numerous times in choosing his finalists at the Judges Houses stage of the competition – is too "scared" to give her a job.
She said: "Every year I plead with Simon to make me a judge – I sent him flowers, photo of me dressed up as a judge, voicemails of me singing about why I should have the job – the works.
"I think he’s scared to have me as competition."
The 51-year-old star refused to confirm whether Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will return again this year but was impressed by how much she had changed last year compared to her first stint on the show.
She told Closer magazine: "When Cheryl first appeared on ‘The X Factor’, she was like a fragile little bird.
"She was battling a lot of heartache in her marriage [to Ashley Cole] and had lost a lot of weight due to the stress.
"When she came back last year, she was a different person. She had this new strength and confidence and was incredibly happy in her new marriage to JB."
