Adrian Lester still gets messages from fans about 'Hustle'.
The 46-year-old star, who played con-man Mickey Stone in the long running BBC series, has revealed people still want to talk to him about it even though it ended three years ago in 2012.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was really fun. We did it off and on for nine years. By the time it came to the eighth season, myself and everyone else were ready to be like, 'This is the last one'.
"It was a good run and had a great fan base. People still love it, I still get communication - tweets and messages about it."
The 'Day After Tomorrow' actor - who is currently starring in the Audible drama 'Amok' alongside Natascha McElhone - also confessed he's flattered that show still attracts new audiences.
He shared: "It's brilliant isn't it - it is getting a new audience and people who were 16/17 who were too young at the time now watch it and say, 'Oh my God, I have just found this show called Hustle'."
Meanwhile, the 'Day After Tomorrow actor has admitted he found it difficult adapting from work on TV, movies and the theatre to audio.
He said: "Working on camera, you can compartmentalise and shoot out sequences. This is about getting the performance in the voice. You have to close your eyes and get a mini TV series really. It is all about making sure the voice and the sound is perfect, the distance from the microphone, whether it is to the left or the right. The intensity, the volume - that is of paramount importance."

Chris Gascoyne wants to "do Annie proud" when he returns to 'Coronation Street' for Deirdre Barlow's funeral.
The ITV soap is set to pay tribute to Anne Kirkbride, who played Deirdre for over 40 years before losing her battle with cancer earlier this year, with a funeral for her long-running character.
And Chris, who played Deirdre's step-son Peter, is hoping to give her a good send off.
He said: "Hopefully it'll put a bit of closure on it for us as well ... It's just for a few episodes but it's all about Deirdre and it's the way it's affected Peter, Tracy and Ken and, you know, hopefully we can do Annie proud."
The 47-year-old actor went on to insist he would never say no to reprising his role for good, having quit after a seven-year stint last year.
He told Lorraine Kelly on ITV's 'Lorraine': "I went back for a year and it was great and I ended up doing seven and it just flies by."
Speaking about how quickly time goes because of how far in advance they film, he added: "And Christmas comes a month early there so we have two Christmases and it seems to go on forever."

Claire King admits her 'Coronation Street' character's pregnancy made her question whether she regrets not having children.
The 52-year-old actress, who plays cougar Erica Holroyd on the ITV soap, has revealed finding out her character had fallen pregnant with Nick Tilsley's baby brought back memories of the hysterectomy she underwent after finding a lump, which meant she could no longer have kids.
Speaking about never having children, she said: "It just never happened for me with my ex. And then I had a hysterectomy five years ago so when this came along it kind of brought back a few thoughts. Could I have/should I have ... But I didn't so move on.
"It's part of being an actress."
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant - who was previously married to her 'Emmerdale' co-star Peter Amory - admits she was shocked to read that her 49-year-old character was going to find out she's pregnant because of her age.
She told ITV's 'Lorraine': "I was slightly shocked when I got the script. [I was like] is this actually feasible?
"There were a few Twitter comments. But it happens.
"We're in for a treat. The story progresses and it's - are they [Erica and Nick] going to stay together or are they not?"
However, Erica may be set for heartbreak as it's been reported she will suffer a miscarriage and lose her unborn baby.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Erica's pregnancy was a shock for viewers but her miscarriage will be even more of a shock.
"This was initially seen as a chance for 'Corrie' to explore the issue of older women coping with pregnancy.
"Nobody expected it to end this way. It's one of a series of heartbreaking storylines lined up in the coming months."

Demi Lovato is reportedly close to signing a contract for 'The X Factor'.
The 22-year-old star - who was a judge on the US version of the show for two years from 2012 - is said to have agreed to join the UK version after it was claimed Simon Cowell has sacked Mel B after just one series.
A source told Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon's management phoned to see when Demi could sign her contract about a week ago.
"They both have busy schedules but she is planning to do it as soon as possible and Simon is eager to get the judging panel sorted."
The 'Heart Attack' singer is currently on her self-titled world tour but her last concert date is scheduled for June 6, while auditions for the show set to kick off later this month.
Simon, 55, previously hinted only he and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini from last year's line up would be returning to the show while Louis Walsh has claimed his time is up.
He said previously: "I think I'm done with 'X Factor' honestly. My day job is as a manager, I've kind of neglected that. I want to get back to being a manager."
Meanwhile, if Demi does end up joining the show, new host Olly Murs - who, along with Caroline Flack, is replacing Dermot O'Leary - will be happy as the pair performed their duet 'Up' during the final last year and are said to be close friends.

Katie Hopkins has warned her children she could die from epilepsy.
The controversial star previously revealed how she was hospitalised 26 times in 9 months due to her arms dislocating during epileptic fits and she now claims the condition could kill her one day.
In an open letter to her children she confessed that she loves walking them to school because she "gets to hear" what they're thinking.
She added: "I won't always be here to do that.
"We know Mum's doctor says her epilepsy will get her one day. Fruit loops say karma will."
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' runner-up continued to pass on her words of wisdom in a list of eight things for them "to remember" as they "get bigger" in a blog on the Huffington Post's new HuffPo Parents section.
She wrote: "Girls are weird. If girls start to make you feel upset about yourself, find boys to hang out with. Girls think handbags matter. This is one step away from being a Scientologist."
The 40-year-old star - who has daughters Poppy and India with ex-husband Damian McKinney and son Maximilian with husband Mark Cross - went on to offer them advice on marriage.
She said: "One day you might think you want to stay with one person for life.
"Perhaps you will want to wear a big dress to celebrate. Ask yourself, 'Will I look back in five years and think I looked a right t**t?' Mummy should have done this. If you forget all this, that's OK. Mummy made some royal cock-ups but has no regrets and wouldn't change a single thing. Especially not the three of you."

Andrew Paul has joined the cast of 'Coronation Street'.
The former 'The Bill' actor will play brewery worker Dan Jones, who embarks on a romance with Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) after she learns Tony Stewart has cheated on her with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
However, Liz could be in for a shock as Dan has a "dark secret" that connects him to another local resident.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Dan is a good looking charmer with a great line in patter and Liz McDonald is soon well and truly on the rebound from Tony and falling for him.
But what she doesn't know is he has history with another Weatherfield woman and when his dark secret is exposed it will reveal his true personality."
Andrew played PC Dave Quinnan in 'The Bill' for 13 years but his character in 'Corrie' is a "world away" from his most famous alter ego.
The source added: "The character is a world away from his days as copper Dave in 'The Bill'.
"It's an exciting part for Andrew and he can't wait to get stuck in on the cobbles. He has changed a bit from his days on 'The Bill' so he might be an arresting sight for some viewers."
Andrew's contract is short-term initially, but his stay in Weatherfield could stretch longer than just a few months if he proves to be a hit with viewers.

Tom Oliver has quit 'Neighbours'.
The 76-year-old actor - who has played Lou Carpenter in the Australian soap for 27 years - will be scaling back his role on the show, but will continue to film the occasional storyline.
A spokesperson for the Channel 5 show told the Mirror: "Tom has scaled back his workload over the past few years and while he will not be appearing as regularly on 'Neighbours', good news for the many Lou Carpenter fans is the producers have persuaded him to continue to do guest appearances.
"He will be returning later in the year to film a significant storyline."
It is not the first time the star has cut back on his workload on the soap as in 2009, Tom spent two months filming for the show before taking two months off.
'Neighbours' recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with a star studded series of episodes that brought back favourites from across the years, including some characters who had passed away on screen, and Stefan Dennis thought it would be a great time to get an on-screen romance, for his character Paul Robinson, having split from his wife Rebecca Napier in 2010.
He previously told BANG Showbiz: "I think it's time for Paul to have another long-term romance, and that's always a good, fun storyline because it takes you everywhere, particularly with a character like Paul and the women he's attracted to. It's all about clash."

Linda Robson admits her daughter's cancer scare helped her to prepare for a tough storyline.
The 'Loose Women' panellist saw her 'Birds of a Feather' character Tracey Stubbs go through a cancer scare earlier this year and she's now revealed she drew on the experience of her daughter being told she may have skin cancer for the emotional scenes.
She said: "My daughter had to have a cancerous mole removed from her back. It was scary to go through that.
"I went with her to have it done. You think they're just going to take a bit out but they dig right in."
Speaking about how it helped her prepare for the storyline, she added: "I think seeing my daughter going through her scare helped inform the scenes we did on it."
The 57-year-old star confessed she used to use sunbeds to help her get a golden tan and admits she's worried it could increase her chances of being diagnosed.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "All of us used to bake ourselves in the sun but you pay the price in years to come.
"Touch wood, I've been OK. Nothing has happened to me."
The show, which first launched on the BBC in 1989 before being revived by ITV in 2014, has now been commissioned for another series and while it's a comedy, Linda wants to continue to focus on serious issues.
Linda explained: "When you have three women of the age they are in 'Birds of a Feather', realistically one of us would be affected by cancer. So it was important to do it ... I want to see us do more dramatic storylines. The cast get input with the scripts, which is great."
