Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will be the only woman on 'The X Factor' panel.
The former Girls Aloud star has reportedly agreed to return to the judging panel for the ITV singing competition along with music mogul Simon Cowell, who is searching for another "big-name male" after already securing BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw.
A source revealed: "Simon has thrown the rule book out of the window this year.
"Ever since the panel moved from three to four judges there have been two men and two women, but it looks like that is going to change.
"He will definitely be back, as will Cheryl. Grimmy's just a formality, so the X Factor team is currently searching for a really big-name male.
"Simon thinks by having three men, Cheryl will flourish. He also likes the 'three men and a Geordie' joke."
Following the departure of 2014 judges Mel B and Louis Walsh, Simon is hoping the male-dominated panel will be refreshing for the show, especially as it will mean less drama for him.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "The danger is that he will lose those great spats between the female judges like the ones between Dannii Minogue and Sharon Osbourne, and Kelly Rowland and Tulisa.
"They used to generate great publicity, but they were a huge headache to manage, so it's not all bad."

Lucy Mecklenburgh scolded her boyfriend Louis Smith for posting a picture of their bare bottoms on Instagram.
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star has revealed she did not give the Olympic gymnast permission to publish the photograph and was mortified when she saw it online.
Lucy explained: "He didn't tell me he was going to post it. We took the photo after the BAFTAs in the hotel. We'd just got back and we'd had a couple of drinks and we were just messing around. I didn't know he was going to post it the next day. But he's quite like that."
The 23-year-old beauty - who was previously engaged to her 'TOWIE' co-star Mario Falcone - claims both she and her publicist gave Louis, 26, a stern telling off for posting the cheeky snap.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Louis got in trouble for that. By both of us."
Louis took to Instagram after the British Academy Television Awards to quiz his fans on who they think has a nicer bum between him and his fitness fanatic girlfriend.
Captioning the photo, he wrote: "Who has the better derrière? Me or @lucymeck1 haha #battleofthebutts. (sic)"
Lucy is now working on a plan to get revenge on her hunky boyfriend, whom she got together with late last year after first meeting on the set of the BBC show 'Tumble'.
She added: "I'm going to get him back though, don't worry, I'm working on it."

Beverley Callard misses "everything" about Anne Kirkbride.
The 'Coronation Street' actress admits she's still coming to terms with the death of her close friend and co-star, who passed away earlier this year after losing her battle with cancer.
She said: "Oh, gosh, I miss everything about her. People used to call us the work sisters because we were just always together and even in private life as well we both used to go to Spain together with our husbands and I truly miss her every single day."
The 58-year-old star, who plays Liz McDonald in the ITV soap, filmed her first scene in the home of Anne's character Deirdre Barlow last week and has confessed she found it much more difficult than she was expecting.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ITV's 'Lorraine', she said: I did my first scene in the Barlow's living room last week and that was the first time since Annie died and we're beginning to sort of talk about Deirdre and my husband said to me, 'How will you feel about this?' And I said, 'I'll be fine because we're not talking about Annie the friend, we're talking about Deirdre', but suddenly I walked into the Barlow's and I was so taken over with emotion and it was really, really difficult to do and I've not found that before."

Jeremy Clarkson admits it was his "own silly fault" he was sacked from 'Top Gear'.
The controversial presenter was axed from the BBC show earlier this year after attacking producer Oisin Tymon and leaving him with a split lip in a row over a steak, and he's now taken responsibility for the incident.
Asked how he feels about the fact he'll no longer be hosting the show, he said: "I didn't anticipate actually not doing it anymore. I was very sad but it was my own silly fault so I can hardly complain.
"I was at the BBC for 27 years and I did the current incarnation of 'Top Gear' for 12 and it was very much my baby. I absolutely adored it and I worked all the time on it, all through the night and I paid attention to every little tiny bit of it and then suddenly you're not asked to do that anymore and you do feel as though there's a big hole that does need to be filled."
The 55-year-old star insisted that although there are some "dreadful people" at the BBC, he will miss working for the broadcaster just as much as he'll miss presenting 'Top Gear' alongside James May and Richard Hammond.
Speaking on 'The Chris Evans Breakfast Show' on BBC Radio 2, he explained: "[I'll miss both] equally, actually, because I like the BBC. There are some dreadful people in it but there's also some really brilliant people and if you work with them it's a great organisation and I'll never complain about it and I thank them for giving me such a long time there."
Jeremy recently auctioned off his last ever lap of the 'Top Gear' track for charity and admits it will be "emotional" saying goodbye for good.
He shared: "I said I'd go down to Dunsfold, the 'Top Gear' track and do one last lap in whatever [car] and then people bid and it was a hundred thousand pounds a couple of people came up with and I'm going to go and do that soon actually. So I'm going to do one last ever lap of the 'Top Gear' track which will be quite emotional for me because I like driving around there, because there's nothing to hit."
The newspaper columnist - who claims he's been working on his tennis game since losing his job - also insists he's busier now he's unemployed and is enjoying working on his, May and Hammond's revamped 'Top Gear Live' shows without the BBC "medalling".
Asked how he feels about doing the tour without being able to return to 'Top Gear', he added: "I don't know we haven't done it yet. I think it will be good fun, I genuinely think it will be good fun. We've made some good films for this because we're able to make our own films now with no meddling really."
However, Jeremy insists he has no idea what's next for him but joked he certainly won't be returning to his old job of delivering milk because of the "early starts".

James Corden's 'The Late Late Show' could be moving to the UK.
A number of British broadcasters are reportedly battling to air the 36-year-old TV presenter's US chat show, having been so successful over in the States since he took over in March, with appearances from stars including One Direction, Anna Kendrick and Justin Bieber.
CBS Distribution president and chief executive Armando Nunezsaid said: "The wheel is turning right now. James has done a phenomenal job of reinventing that show. He's an amazing talent and is engaging and captivating and is fast on his feet. He has a very endearing quality about him."
Unfortunately, however, if 'The Late Late Show' does move to the UK, it's unlikely to be broadcast before the end of the year, as the 'Wrong Mans' star is said to have requested producers wait until the show is fully developed in the States, and has asked for a few months longer in the chair.
The hit has already been sold by CBS Studios International to global broadcasters including Canada, Australia and Japan, but James has previously said he is "gobsmacked" by the reaction to 'The Late, Late Show', and never expected to win so much praise so quickly.
He said: "I was so braced for the show to be torn apart that I'm gobsmacked by how quickly people have taken to it.
"And it's amazing to be able to sit with people like Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell and just be in their orbit for a bit."

Chanelle Hayes wants to become a bodybuilder.
The former 'Big Brother' star has revealed she's gained two and a half stone since unveiling her slimmer figure last year and once she manages to get the weight off again after hiring a personal trainer, she's hoping to follow in the footsteps of Jodie Marsh by competing in bodybuilding contests.
She said: "When I've lost the weight, I'd like to try bodybuilding - I like the muscly look! My aim is to look like a Victoria's Secret Model, if she clenches her muscles! I wouldn't like to go huge, though - I'd want to compete in the bikini category."
The 27-year-old star - who is currently dating businessman Josh Singleton after splitting from Jack Tweed last year - claims her weight problems stem from her addiction to sugar and biscuits.
She explained: "When I saw some recent bikini pictures of myself I just thought, 'Oh God, how have I allowed myself to get like this again? Food is my problem - it's a serious addiction. I actually think I have compulsive overeating disorder. Dieting is the hardest thing for me. I think about food all the time - I need to have my jaws wired!"
Chanelle added to Closer magazine: "I have a cup of tea with biscuits for breakfast, then I'll snack on cookies and crisps throughout the morning. For lunch I'll usually have a jacket potato with cheese or coleslaw, then I'll snack on biscuits throughout the afternoon. I can eat three packets of biscuits a day - they're really addictive. My sugar cravings are so extreme they're just like how I imagine heroin to be. For dinner, I'll have either fajitas with sour cream and guacamole, steak and chips, or a takeaway. Then I'll have a lemon meringue or cake for dessert."

Billie Faiers insists her sister Sam Faiers won't get married before her.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star claims she and her fiance Greg Shephard - with whom she has 10-month-old daughter Nelly - will be tying the knot first despite Sam admitting she sees marriage and children in her future with new boyfriend Paul Day.
Billie said: "Me and Greg are planning a holiday with Sam and Paul soon. We all get on really well. I don't think Sam will beat me down the aisle, but she's happy at the moment and that's all that matters!"
The 25-year-old star "can't wait" to have more children with Greg but claims they want to be married first and are currently trying to find a date in their busy schedules that works for them both.
She explained to Closer magazine: "I can't wait to have another baby - I want one as soon as possible. I think it's really lovely being a young mum and I've always wanted lots of children. Nelly's growing up fast and I really want her to have a sibling. Greg and I want to get married first, though, and we're now looking at dates next year. He was asking me about setting a date the other day! We talk about it all the time and it's definitely happening, but we're both so busy at the moment. All our friends keep telling us to hurry up! They're excited and want to start buying their outfits."

Lucy Mecklenburgh thinks she was "too young" when she joined 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The former TOWIE star has revealed she banned her sister Lydia from taking part in the ITVBe show because she thought she was too young and now admits she herself should probably have waited until she was older to join.
She said: "She got asked to go on TOWIE quite a few times but I always said no.
"She was young, she was 17 and I think that's too young. I was 19 and I think that was even still probably too young."
The 23-year-old beauty - who is dating Olympic gymnast Louis Smith - advised her sister to finish her studies before getting swept up in the celebrity lifestyle.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "She was offered other TV work and modelling work and stuff and I've said that's great.
"I say, 'When you've finished uni [university] you can do what you want. My advice is stay in uni and get your grades'.
"She's quite shy and sweet and I'm not sure TOWIE would have been right for her.
"She loves uni and that's what's right for her."
And in a bid to keep her sister looking and feeling good while partying at university, the fitness fanatic sends her meal guides and exercise plans.
Lucy added: "She's quite health conscious like me. She finds it hard though. Obviously they are out drinking a lot so I send her juices and food plans and she uses Results with Lucy with all her flatmates. She tries to keep fit as much as she can."

Bobby Norris had a cancer scare after his mother was diagnosed with Leukaemia.
The 'The Only Way Is Essex' star has confessed to finding a lump on his testicle after being told by doctors his mum, Kym, 55, was suffering from the disease.
The 28-year-old star is now urging others to regularly check themselves for tell tale signs.
He told The Sun newspaper: "The doctor said it was nothing to worry about. But now I check weekly in the shower because it's just one of those things which is so important."
The 'TOWIE' favourite previously appeared on TV to launch a campaign #SaveBobbysMum to find a donor and found his life changed over night when someone came forward.
Bobby added he is hoping to track the donor down and thank them personally in a couple of years when the two year anonymity rule - which stops people from contacting their donors - has run out.
He said "[I'll be] forever be in debt to them. Someone who has donated that for my mum has changed mine and my mum's life."
