Olly Murs rejected X Factor judge offer

Olly Murs turned down a judging role on the 'X Factor', because he's "too nice".
The former 'X Factor' runner-up has revealed that there were "discussions" about him replacing Louis Walsh on the judging panel of the ITV reality show, having left after 11 years. However Olly has admitted that he couldn't have done the job well, as he'd be too conscious of hurting the contestants' feelings, knowing "how much it would mean to them".
Olly said: "There were discussions, but for me to be judging contestants, I didn't think was the right thing. I'm too nice. I would be unable to say 'no' to contestants because I would know how much it would mean to them. I couldn't ruin their dreams."
Despite turning down the judging role, the 'Troublemaker' singer has said that he thinks it's "better" that he's now going to present the next series of 'X Factor' with Caroline Flack, as he can give the contestants "advice" instead of criticism.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Olly said: "On the presenters' side, I can give contestants my advice and help defend them against the judges. It's better like that for me."
While no one has been confirmed to replace Louis' seat yet, BBC Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw has been the most heavily rumoured name. However, Olly thinks his Take That pal Robbie Williams should get the job.
Olly said: "I was with (Robbie) recently at the O2 and was trying to convince him to do it."

Karren Brady refuses to starve herself

Karren Brady refuses to starve herself just so she'll look thinner on TV.
The 'Apprentice' star has revealed she receives messages from Twitter trolls calling her a "fat cow" whenever she says something people don't agree with on the BBC show but insists she has no plans to lose any weight.
She said: "It annoys me when the likes of myself, Fern Britton and Nigella Lawson are ridiculed over our appearance or if we've put on weight.
"If someone doesn't like what I've said on 'The Apprentice' they'll write on social media, 'Karren Brady, that fat cow'. But I'm not going to starve myself because other people on TV are thinner than me."
The 46-year-old businesswoman also opened up about being diagnosed with a brain aneurysm in 2006 to reveal it made her reassess her priorities.
She explained to Closer magazine: "I woke up one day with blotches all over my skin and my body was swelling. I was rushed to A&E and told I had an aneurysm and that I needed brain surgery. I feel so lucky that I survived - it could have led to a stroke.
"What happened to me has made me realise that life is short and I want to live as long as possible. As a result I am now a supporter of The Stroke Association, I take more time off and I'm less stressed."

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan wed

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have tied the knot.
The ex-'Coronation Street' beauty and the former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star have officially become Mr and Mrs Wright after getting married at St Mary's Church in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk today (24.05.15).
Fans lined the roads near the church as they tried to get a glimpse of the bride in her wedding dress - which is said to be ivory and strapless - and the groom in his sharp suit.
The 28-year-old presenter's mother Carol was seen arriving at the venue in a nude-coloured lace gown whilst celebrity attendees included James 'Arg' Argent and his girlfriend Lydia Bright, 'Coronation Street' stars Brooke Vincent and Antony Cotton and 'Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher.
Michelle's seven bridesmaids wore baby blue floor-length gowns, the Sunday Mirror newspaper reports.
With the ceremony now over, guests will join the bride and groom at the wedding breakfast, which is said to be inspired by the "north-south divide" with fish and chips and pies on offer.
Guests can also enjoy cocktails whilst partying late into the night with the "LA glamour inspired" reception.
The happy couple are also believed to have secured two surprise star performers for the reception whilst Mark's 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner Karen Hauer will perform at the bash alongside another professional dancer from the BBC One show.

Louis Walsh: Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is manipulating X Factor judging panel

Louis Walsh has claimed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has refused to work alongside Nicole Scherzinger on 'The X Factor'.
The departing judge says the 'Only Human' hitmaker is manipulating the show's boss Simon Cowell to ditch plans for the former Pussycat Doll to make a return to the judging panel.
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Cheryl's got a job! Why won't she let Nicole be on the panel this year? Why won't she allow Simon to have Nicole on the panel? There's your f***ing story. That's the truth. Because Nicole's good. She won't sign if Nicole signs.
"I thought Nicole would be great to get back. I really do. If I was going to hire any female, it would be her. Sharon Osbourne would be amazing too. She was brilliant. The year before was so fun. But Simon won't hire her because he can't control her. But that's exactly what would make the show. Sharon and Nicole would be amazing."
When Louis confirmed his exit earlier this month, there were rumours Nick Grimshaw was in the running to be his replacement.
Whilst it's something the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show's presenter would be happy to do, he won't let it threaten his career at the BBC.
He told the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper: "I wouldn't risk my job on Radio 1 but I think I could do both. I don't see why I couldn't do it. I don't think it would contradict my show on Radio 1. I think they would complement each other.
"I have always wanted to work at Radio 1 and love it. If we can make it happen though, great. I would love to do it. I think it is really fun and I love watching it."

Mark Wright blagged wedding freebies?

Mark Wright was "prepared to blag" to get freebies for his wedding.
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star - who is tying the knot with ex-'Coronation Street' beauty Michelle Keegan over the Bank Holiday weekend - reportedly left his wedding planner heading for the door after he tried to wrangle as much as possible for free.
A source said: "Mark has been prepared to blag anything - the venue, the flowers, a limo. It's the biggest day of his life, but he has seemed to treat it more like a PR business transaction.
"He seemed to expect everything handed to him on a plate or on the cheap because of his celebrity status."
Insiders claim that the 28-year-old star bragged his and Michelle's wedding would be as big as Hollywood icon George Clooney's as well as offering free sponsorship and publicity in a bid to secure everything at a cheaper price.
A source also says Mark boasted to pals that he was getting his honeymoon in Dubai for free and that he would be able to secure chart-topping singer Adele to perform at their wedding if he wished.
The boasts reportedly left Michelle feeling "embarrassed".
A source added to the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Mark has been incredibly demanding ... I don't know if he was joking, but it all seemed a bit far fetched. It became embarrassing. The kind of wedding he wanted would easily have cost more than £250,000, but he didn't want to pay anything like that ...
"Fortunately, Michelle has been a dream to be around - the perfect bride. She's clearly loved every second of the build-up and everybody around her hopes she has a wonderful day.
"She's so down to earth and genuine. But she seemed a bit embarrassed by the hype around it - and by Mark's approach to business dealings."

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s wedding gifts

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have splashed out on Rolex watches for each other.
The couple - who are getting married over the Bank Holiday weekend - have reportedly spent a combined £52,000 on the fancy jewellery.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "They wanted to get something for each other that they would use every day. And they both love their bling. Some might say matching watches are a bit tacky but these aren't just cheap knock-offs.
"They'll last them a lifetime, like they hope their marriage will. £52,000 might seem like a lot but they actually got them at a discount so it could've been a lot more."
Meanwhile, Mark spent one of his last days as a bachelor on the golf course with his pals as part of his fourth stag party.
The group have already jetted to Las Vegas for a week as well as enjoying a weekend in Spain whilst a recent stag party in Essex reportedly left Max's future father-in-law so drunk he was not allowed back into the nightclub.
For the most recent stag celebration, Mark and the group took part in a Ryder Cup-style competition in Suffolk Golf Club, just a few moments away from the wedding venue - Hengrave Hall.
Following their golf competition - which Mark's team is said to have lost - the group enjoyed dinner in Bury St Edmunds before heading to catch the James DeGale fight at a nearby sports bar.

Sweden win Eurovision Song Contest 2015

Sweden's Mans Zelmerlow was crowned the winner of the 60th Eurovision Song Contest last night (23.05.15).
The hunk triumphed in the competition with 365 points but until the last moment, it was a close call between the 'Heroes' singer, Russia's Polina Gagarina and Italy's Il Volo.
Accepting the trophy from last year's winner, Austria's Conchita Wurst, Mans said: "I'm so happy and I want to say thank you for voting for me.
"I want to say we are all heroes, no matter who we love, who we are or what we believe in - we are all heroes."
The UK's entry Electro Velvet came 24th out of 27 participants, which as a one off, to celebrate the milestone, included Australia.
Following their defeat, the swing duo said: "Obviously it is disappointing to finish on the right hand side of the board, but we have had the most amazing, brilliant, unforgettable time being part of this unique competition in this special year.
"We put our hearts and souls into representing our country and would like to thank everyone back at home and around the world that got behind us.
"It really means a lot and of course we also want to congratulate Sweden and Mans Zelmerlow on their well-deserved victory."
With five points, the UK came ahead of France, who scored four points, and hosts Austria and Germany who failed to received any points.

Simon Cowell wants to produce leaders’ debate

Simon Cowell wants to produce the coverage of the next leaders' debate.
The 55-year-old music mogul thinks the way in which the General Election was covered by TV channels was boring and "would love" to be involved in the production of the next one, which is scheduled to take place in five years' time.
He said: "You know what, can Radio Times start a petition for me to produce the next leaders' debate? I would love to do that! I'd do it in a heartbeat! Hundred per cent. I'd have walk-ons, music, fire ... And a trap door if people didn't like what they said. And I'd definitely have a clapometer. I am deadly serious. Can we start a petition? I really would love a chance to do that!"
The 'X Factor' boss made his confession after his fellow 'Britain's Got Talent' judge David Walliams joked that the show has been so successful this year because people have been looking for something else to watch to escape the boredom of the election coverage.
David told Radio Times magazine: "I'll tell you what I certainly didn't enjoy - the election coverage! It was so boring. That's partly why our show has done so well; people wanted something fun and escapist after hearing all those politicians talking."

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s £1m wedding

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have splashed out over £1 million on their wedding.
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star and the ex-'Coronation Street' beauty are to tie the knot today (23.05.15) in the picturesque Hengrave Hall in Suffolk and no expense has been spared for the big day.
The bride will arrive by horse and cart, wearing a custom-made ivory dress, which she designed herself.
Around 120 guests are expected to watch as the pair tie the knot in the church of St John Lateran, which is moments away from Hengrave Hall, with another 80 or so guests joining them for the evening reception, The Sun newspaper reports.
The wedding's attendees will be treated to performances from two music artists whilst they enjoy kebabs from Sheesh diner in Chigwell.
And the couple have ensured their exclusive £1.2 million picture deal with a glossy magazine isn't ruined after banning their guests from taking photographs.
Michelle, 27, and Mark, 28, have hired the venue's 35 rooms for their closest friends and family, which is likely to include Michelle's bridesmaids, her sisters Jessica and Natalya, stepsister Nichola, her cousins Gemma, Katy and Lauren and best friend Becky Hatch as well as Mark's brother Josh, his best man.
Yesterday, flowers - said to be worth £60,000 - were delivered to the venue whilst the bride and groom were spotted making final preparations for the big day.
