Never Mind The Buzzcocks cancelled

'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' has been cancelled.
The pop music panel quiz - most recently hosted by comedian Rhod Gilbert - will not be returning after almost 20 years on air, after BBC channel controller Kim Shillinglaw and BBC entertainment controller Mark Linsey decided to axe it.
A BBC spokeswoman confirmed the news, saying: "After 28 series we've decided not to bring 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' back to the BBC. This will create space for new entertainment formats in the future. We'd like to thank the team at Talkback, Rhod Gilbert, all the brilliant hosts over the years and of course Noel and Phill for the years of enjoyment they've given BBC Two viewers."
'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' first aired in November 1996 and has run for over 260 episodes over 28 series.
Before Rhod took control of proceedings, previous hosts have included Mark Lamarr, who presented the first 17 series, before guest presenters then took over for the 18th run, then Simon Amstell took over hosting duties for four series.
The show featured some unforgettable rock 'n' roll moments such as Ordinary Boys frontman Preston storming out the studio halfway through filming, after host Simon mocked his then-wife Chantelle Houghton by reading out extracts from her autobiography.
Fun Lovin' Criminals' frontman Huey Morgan also lost his temper during the 'next lines round' when his band's lyrics were used and ridiculed prompting him to smash up a mug as guest hosts Rizzle Kicks tried to calm him down.
Another memorable incident was when comedian Jack Whitehall quizzed Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell on his intentions for his sister who he had previously dated.
Captains over the course of the show's run included Noel Fielding, Sean Hughes, Bill Bailey and Phill Jupitus - who featured on nearly every episode of the programme.
Rhod previously admitted he only took on hosting duties because he thought the series still had a lot of life left in it.
When asked what his hopes for the show were when he took the main the job last year, he said: "Well, if I thought I was coming in just to stand on the bow while the bloody thing sank, I wouldn't be doing it."

Chloe-Jasmine and Stevi Ritchie: ‘We’ll get married in a church’

Chloe Jasmine Whichello and Stevi Ritchie want to get married.
The former 'X Factor' contestants - who got together after Chloe reportedly cheated on her ex-boyfriend with Stevi - have rubbished rumors they've split up and insist they've been in a "loving relationship" since the ITV show came to an end.
Stevi said: "This isn't a showmance, you can't turn feelings off."
The cheeky chappy had appeared to fall head over heels for Chloe on the show but has now confessed it wasn't love at first sight for him.
He explained: "They put us together and got us talking so they could film it. Back then I didn't find her attractive - sorry, Chlo!"
And Chloe - who came under fire for leading Stevi on despite already being in a relationship - claims she was the first one to say "I love you".
She said: "I told him in November, I had to try and track him down at his gigs at first and find out what hotel he was staying at.
"I love the idea of marriage, but I don't think it matters where you get married."
Stevi then jumped in: "I'm putting my foot down - we're having it in a church!"
The father-of-one and the blonde beauty also spoke about their favourite things about one another.
Stevi told OK! magazine: "She's very kind and she goes out of her way to do things for me. She makes a big effort to come and see me.
"And she's stunning! She worries about her weight and skin but I think she's beautiful."
Chloe added: "For me, it was interesting getting to know him outside his public persona, and I thought it was very intriguing. There's always more than meets the eye and as you can see he's a really lovely person."

Deirdre Barlow to return to Coronation Street as a ghost?

Deidre Barlow is to return to 'Coronation Street' as a ghost.
The long-running character - who was played by the late Anne Kirkbride - will reportedly make her presence known in an upcoming scene between Michelle Connor and Steve McDonald following the news of her death.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It will be a really spooky moment because it will seem like Deirdre is making her presence felt from beyond the grave.
"Michelle and Steve are talking about her, sharing their memories and their shock at her death, when suddenly the doors swing open with a huge crash."
Following the news that Anne - who played Deirdre for over 40 years - had lost her battle with cancer earlier this year it was claimed Deirdre was staying with friends.
But it's now been reported that the ITV soap will reveal that her character has too passed away in a scene where her husband Ken (William Roache) will be told Deirdre was found dead in a garden chair.
However, a spokesperson for the soap has refused to confirm Deirdre's return, saying: "We do not comment on storylines."
'Corrie' producer Stuart Blackburn added that they are yet to film Deirdre's funeral.
He said: "We haven't filmed the funeral yet. We're heading towards that."

Samia Ghadie is engaged to Sylvain Longchambon

Samia Ghadie has got engaged.
The 'Coronation Street' actress has revealed she's set to tie the knot with her former 'Dancing on Ice' partner Sylvain Longchambon after announcing they're expecting their first child together earlier this year.
Alongside a heart, bride, top hat and ring emoticons, she wrote on Twitter: "So @slongchambon and I have some more happy news to share!...#soexcited xxx (sic)."
The 32-year-old star - who has five-year-old daughter Freya from her previous marriage - also posted an image of her stunning engagement ring, prompting a reply from her new fiance.
Sylvain wrote: "@realsamia great manicure baby #shesaidOUI!! (sic)."
The couple - whose baby is due in October - are already planning their big day and are hoping to walk down the aisle in Sylvain's native France.
He told OK! magazine: "There is a place we like to visit in France. It has cobbled streets and nice little houses. We have joked about getting married there."
Samie added: "It's a really magical place. We went into the church and asked about it last summer when we visited the place. For one minute I thought he was going to propose to me there and then!"
Samia first got together with the ice-dancer when she competed on the ITV show in 2013 following her split from co-star Will Thorp.
However, the romance caused controversy as she hadn't yet announced the split and Sylvain was still dating his former 'DOI' partner, 'Hollyoaks' actress Jennifer Metcalfe when they first met.

Denise Van Outen wants to return to EastEnders

Denise Van Outen would love to see her 'EastEnders' character stirring up more trouble.
The 40-year-old star appeared in the BBC One soap as glamorous businesswoman Karin earlier this year and tricked her lover Max Branning (Jake Wood) into signing over the car lot to his arch rival Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Denise has now confessed she'd love to film more episodes and cause even more chaos.
She told BANG Showbiz: "There has been conversation [about me going back into 'EastEnders'] but the thing is I'm doing [the play] 'Sweet Charity' so I can't at the moment because I'm so tied up with rehearsals throughout August.
"I think my character could just cause more trouble. She's already stirred up a little bit, but she could definitely do some more. There's always room for more trouble in Albert Square."
Meanwhile, Denise previously revealed that she and Jake discussed whether or not to use tongues ahead of their kissing scenes.
She explained: "I looked at the script and said, 'What an ice breaker!' Obviously I've watched Jake on 'Strictly' [Come Dancing] so I was a massive fan but I've never met him before, so my first scene we had to kind of get it on ... But he's lovely.
"And actors have a discussion about what you can or can't do - the rules! Because some people like to really go for it. We were just acting with passion. The discussion is about whether you use tongues and we decided ... There were no tongues involved at this stage."

James ‘Lockie’ Lock opens up about bullying

James 'Lockie' Lock claims people bully him on Twitter.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star and his girlfriend Dani Armstrong have spoken out against trolls to insist that although they may hide behind their computers, they're still bullies.
Lockie told BANG Showbiz: "Trolling is a form of bullying, and they don't realise they're doing it. That's probably the worst part of being in any sort of limelight, because people feel like they own the right to have an opinion about your life and what you look like. They don't realise that it's a form of bullying."
Dani - who, along with Lockie, joined the ITVBe show in 2013 - also revealed her close friends are shocked she continues to star in TOWIE because the negative comments she receives make her so self-conscious.
She explained: "My friends ask why I go on the show because I'm self-conscious. Like I hate when people tweet me and things like that but that comes with it."
James also rubbished the idea that fans are simply having "banter" with them by posting hurtful messages.
He added: "People say, 'Oh, I was only having a laugh'. To have banter, the other person has to laugh with you, like, you can't just be laughing at that person."

Caroline Flack: Olly Murs will bring ‘cheeky’ side to X Factor

Caroline Flack thinks Olly Murs will add a "bit of cheekiness" to 'The X Factor'.
The pair are co-presenting the ITV talent show this year and the 35-year-old star has admitted they've had to reduce the "silliness".
She said: "We've got to change it slightly. We've got to take away the silliness a little bit. We can bring fun to it and bring excitement but it's got to be about the contestants and their relationship with the judges and of course the audience and their voting.
"[Olly's] going to have a nice relationship with Simon [Cowell] because they know each other really well."
Caroline also defended the ITV show, insisting it offers opportunities to those who can't get them elsewhere.
She shared to The Telegraph newspaper: "I think X Factor is offering opportunity to people who don't have that opportunity anywhere else. You could look at that programme and find a million negative things but you can also find a million positive things. Some people just love that negative vibe."
When asked about the negatives, she added: "I guess a lot of people say it's changed the music industry a lot, people say it's taken advantage of people and putting their life onto TV and using that.
"But it is a TV show at the end of the day. It's a really entertaining TV show and it's only giving people an opportunity. That's all it's doing."

Mark Wright wept through wedding to Michelle Keegan

Mark Wright wept as he married Michelle Keegan yesterday (24.05.15).
The 28-year-old former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star cried with joy when he saw his beautiful 27-year-old bride walking down the aisle in an ivory strapless dress at St Mary's Church, in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, despite her arriving 30 minutes late.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "He was very wobbly standing at the altar. There was nervousness in the air, but when she arrived a tear streamed down his cheek and his face was beaming.
"She didn't cry though, as Northern lasses don't get as soppy as Essex boys. They both looked really happy."
More than 300 fans lined the streets outside the church, hoping to catch a glimpse of Michelle in her wedding dress, but she and Mark - who arrived in a Hummer - went to great lengths to keep themselves hidden, due to a magazine deal.
Michelle's fellow former 'Coronation Street' castmates Antony Cotton, Beverley Callard and Brooke Vincent were among the 120 guests at the £1.2million do, as well as 'TOWIE' couple James 'Arg' Argent and Lydia Bright and 'Emmerdale''s Kelvin Fletcher.
After the ceremony, coaches took everyone to 16th-century Hengrave Hall for a Tudor-themed reception, where there were two wedding breakfast menus to choose from, as Michelle's Manchester friends and family were served fish and chips while the Essex party enjoyed pie and mash.
Mark's former 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner Karen Hauer was at the reception, and performed a dance for the guests, before a disco to end the day.
