Gary Barlow thinks Nick Grimshaw may find it hard to juggle the 'X Factor' job.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ is rumoured to be taking a place on the ITV show's judging panel but the Take That star - who sat on the panel for two years between 2011 and 2013 - has expressed reservations that Nick will be able to commit to the talent competition and his role as presenter for the Radio 1 Breakfast Show.
Gary told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'll tell you what. It's a lot of work, it's half the year gone, that's without any other job so he needs to weigh that one up.
"He's a character, that's the point."
Meanwhile, Louis Walsh - who is quitting as a judge of the show after over a decade - has revealed the show's boss Simon Cowell is "seriously" considering having Nick take a place on the panel.
Louis said previously: "I think Simon's got Grimmy in mind, definitely. It's something he's talked about seriously - he's thinking three boys and Cheryl [Fernandez-Versini] on the panel."
Although the official judging panel has yet to be announced, Louis has insisted Simon will continue with four judges.
He added: "Simon wants it to work - he's brilliant, he's a perfectionist. Viewers want arguments between the judges, they want passionate people. Even this is all just a game - every year, who is gonna get the job and who isn't?"

Calum Best blamed himself for his father's death.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' star's father, footballer George Best, passed away at the age of just 59 in 2005 after suffering multiple organ failure and Calum has admitted he found himself questioning whether he had "drove" his dad to drink in the first place.
In a video for the National Association of Children of Alcoholics charity, which Calum supports, he said: "I always used to think to myself: 'Is it my fault?' I tried to learn to blame it on the booze.
"But then I'd sometimes be annoyed and think: 'Why didn't my old man, if he loved me enough, why didn't he stop drinking? Was I not worth it?' That always got to me because I always thought: 'Jesus, is it my fault? Am I driving my dad to drink?'"
The 34-year-old star also admitted he suffers from "deep, dark issues" following the loss of his father.
He added: "As much of a great person as he was, I had a father who was an alcoholic, who was never there for me, and it affects me in the long term. I have some deep, dark issues now because of not having my dad around.
"I would have maybe two hours in a day where I could find my dad, when it was before, or maybe after one or two drinks, before it started going down a dark road. During those one or two hours, then we could get along."

Reggie Yates hopes Fearne Cotton has "lots more beautiful kids".
The 31-year-old TV personality has sent his well wishes to the blonde beauty after she completed her final ever show on BBC Radio 1 after 10 years with the station, saying he is sure she has an "exciting" journey ahead of her.
He told BANG Showbiz: "She's done about 10 years, and I did 10 years before I left. She's done an incredible job while she's been there, and I'm sure she's going to have an incredible time being a mum and what comes next is really exciting because she's turning a corner for another part of her journey. So yeah, I'm happy for her, it's a new phase."
The former 'Top of the Pops' presenter - who hosted the show, as well as BBC Radio 1's Official Chart Show with the 'Celebrity Juice' panellist - continued to say he expects Fearne, who is currently pregnant with her second child, to continue to add to her brood.
Speaking at the launch of Black Space by Lynx - an immersive, understated space in east London dedicated to style and sound - about what's next for the 33-year-old star, he said: "Hopefully lots more beautiful kids but beyond that whatever makes her happy, because she deserves it."

Adjoa Mensah has become the second person to be evicted from 'Big Brother'.
The 22-year-old model, who was the favourite to be booted off the series tonight (22.05.15) after being nominated alongside fellow contestants Eileen Daly and Sarah Greenwood, admitted it felt "a bit surreal and a bit weird" as she wasn't expecting to be the first evictee from a public vote.
Speaking to host Emma Willis in her post-eviction interview, she said: "I wasn't expecting it. I have been myself all along. I feel like they were just picking up on the little stupid things."
Asked why she lost the vote, she said: "I cannot pinpoint, I've got no clue. I feel like I've not shown more of me because if they knew more of me, they would love me because I know exactly who I am. And I'm sure my family and friends know exactly who I am too. I know they don't understand why I'm first out."
The law student from Manchester, who broke down in tears in the Diary Room earlier this week, claimed the tasks and public's reaction affected her confidence this week.
She said: "I'm a really, really strong person, but it did make me feel super, super, super emotional. I didn't know what to think."
The pastor's daughter was nominated by Nick Henderson face-to-face, but won't be holding a grudge against him.
She said: "I'm going to miss him so much, I absolutely adore Nick."

Fearne Cotton has presented her final BBC Radio 1 show after 10 years with the station.
The 33-year-old DJ - who has two-year-old son Rex with husband Jesse Wood - joined Radio 1 back in 2005 but announced she would be leaving earlier this year to have her second child, and has now described her day as the "weirdest ever".
Speaking on her final show on the station this morning (22.05.15), she shared: "This is honestly the weirdest day ever, it really, really is. I don't know what's going on. I'm terrified slash excited. I've been looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measures."
During the three-hour long show, the mother-of-one was visited by a variety of guests including her former 'Top of the Pops' co-host Reggie Yates, fellow 'Celebrity Juice' stars Holly Willoughby and Keith Lemon, indie band Kodaline, her son and a variety of DJs from the station.
Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl was originally due to be present for the blonde beauty's final show, but instead complimented her on her attractive looks during a pre-recorded interview as he was unable to get to London in time.
He gushed: "It's one thing to be a wonderful voice on the radio, someone that has that timing and sophistication, humour and knowledge, but also to be the most beautiful woman in the world ... Usually when you step into a radio studio, you're faced with some people who look like they should be working on the radio, but in her case, she deserves to be out of the studio a little bit more. And she's always been cool!"
Other surprise treats for the presenter included personalised songs from Coldplay, Kodaline and Tom Odell, as well as covers of her favourite tracks by Rae Morris, James Bay, SOAK and Lucy Rose.
Before ending the show by playing her favourite song, Lana Del Rey's 'Video Games', Fearne took the chance to thank everyone who had supported her during her decade with the station.
She said: "I know I've already said it a million times, but honestly, all of your text messages and tweets have meant the world to me today, it's been so, so lovely.
"I'm so utterly blown away, you have no idea. It's just been the best morning and I'll miss everyone very much."

Kym Marsh is going through a "really difficult time".
The 'Coronation Street' actress has revealed she's struggling to cope with the speculation surrounding her split from her fiance Dan Hooper but that she's doing okay thanks to the support she's received from her family and friends.
She shared: "We've both been going through a really difficult time and it is tough obviously because there is that media spotlight but we've had a lot of support from our family and friends and that's been invaluable to us both. I think our priorities are our kids and work at the moment. It is difficult, particularly when people feel that they know exactly what's going on, when actually they know nothing."
However, the 38-year-old star - who has children David and Emily from a previous relationship and daughter Polly with ex-husband Jamie Lomas - is hoping her and Dan will be able to work through their issues.
Asked if their relationship could be repairable, Kym told ITV's 'This Morning': "That's something for me and Dan to discuss together."
