Gemma Collins: ‘All Essex boys make death threats’

Gemma Collins claims it's "normal" for Essex boys to threaten to kill their girlfriends.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star has jumped to the defence of Dan Osborne after he was sacked from the ITVBe show earlier this year when recordings emerged of him threatening to stab his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin if she slept with another man, despite them no longer being together.
Gemma said: "Dan is one of the loveliest guys I've met. People say things in temper. If you live in Essex that's what all the boys say to their girlfriends.
"Death threats, yeah, that's Essex boys for you. I have had boyfriends say to me if I ever leave them they will kill me. In Essex, it's a normal thing."
"Affairs of the heart are the most stressful things ever and I believe when he was saying those things he was very much in love with Megan."
The 34-year-old reality TV star also appeared to hint that Megan - who has 18-month-old son Teddy with Dan - was partly to blame for his behaviour.
She told The Sun newspaper: "There are two sides to every story but nobody is perfect.
"You shouldn't threaten to kill your baby's mum but I do believe he had a lot of love for her and was never going to kill her."
Gemma even added that she thinks Dan - who is now dating the mother of his four-month-old daughter Ella, 'EastEnders' actress Jacqueline Jossa - should be allowed back on 'TOWIE'.
The blonde beauty said: "I think he deserves to make a comeback to the show."

Sammy Winward: I’ve come out of Emmerdale at the right time

Sammy Winward thinks she has left 'Emmerdale' at the "right time".
The 29-year-old soap star - who played Katie Sugden on the ITV programme for 14 years - decided to leave the show because she wanted to do something "different" and spend time with her daughter Mia.
She said: "I still loved the show and everybody there. So it kind of went against all my instincts, but I just knew I needed to do something different.
"I've just started filming for a new show ['Prey'], which I'm really excited about. It's been perfect really because I've had four months to spend some proper time with Mia. I've been able to be at home, which sounds really boring, but I've been working non-stop since I was 15! I've also written a children's book called Princess Phoebe Meets The Tudors."
However, Sammy has admitted she does miss seeing her "best friends" every day but is glad she has more time free to spend with her little girl.
She added to OK! magazine: "I do [miss it]. I'm adjusting to it now and it's strange not going to work and seeing my best friends every day, but we still see each other all the time.
"I missed Mia a lot, especially when I had a big story line and I was away for three or four days. That was hard and kind of went against my motherly instincts."

Rita Ora’s £1.5m X Factor offer

Simon Cowell has offered Rita Ora £1.5 million to become a judge on 'The X Factor'.
The 55-year-old music mogul has reportedly put on an "extreme charm offensive" in a bid to secure the 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker for the ITV show.
A source said: "Simon is throwing the kitchen sink at this to get Rita on board. Having Grimmy on the panel is a bonus but it is not the only main reason she is re-considering ...
"His final part was to offer a huge money deal. He upped the contract to £1.5million which will make her the highest-paid judge. The deal is massive compared to what the BBC can pay her."
Simon is also believed to be offering the 24-year-old singer an unlimited budget for clothes to try and persuade her to sign up despite her music commitments.
The insider added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "She is worried about the impact of 'X Factor' on her music career in the US so Simon has said she can use his private jet any time.
"He has launched an extreme charm offensive. He says she can spend what she likes on dresses for the series so she looks great."

Luisa Bradshaw-White to marry partner Annette Yeo

'EastEnders' actress Luisa Bradshaw-White is set to marry her partner Annette Yeo with their adopted daughters present.
The 40-year-old actress - who plays lesbian Tina Carter in the BBC soap - will share a wedding service with their two adopted teenage children, following the legalisation of same-sex marriage in the UK in 2014.
She said: "We had a civil partnership nine years ago but my diamond ring got stolen two years ago.
"Then the new laws regarding gay marriage came in and we thought we really should do it because equal rights had been given to gay people.
"I knew Nettie was planning on asking me to marry her. In fact, on the night she did it one of our daughters said: 'Mummy is going to ask you to marry her!' I heard them both whispering with cheeky smiles: 'Have a lovely night, Mummy!' as we left!"
Luisa also revealed the prominent role her two daughters will play in the ceremony.
She told British OK! magazine: "They'll both be bridesmaids. One wanted to get involved in which style of dress we'll wear and the other one wanted to design the cake, so she'll be making cupcakes with a friend of ours."

Sir Ian McKellen: Vicious dog Balthazar smells

Sir Ian McKellen has revealed Balthazar the dog on 'Vicious' "smells" really bad.
The 76-year-old actor says the pooch pongs on set and has an annoying habit of sitting with his legs "wide open", traits which put him off his profession.
McKellen - who stars in 'Vicious' with Frances de la Tour and Derek Jacobi - told The Guardian newspaper: "I don't find it easy working with Balthazar in Vicious. He just lies around with his legs wide open. And he smells. I'm glad not of that is true of Sir Derek."
The ITV comedy follows gay couple Freddie [McKellen] and Stewart [Jacobi] who have been together for 50 years and have a love/hate relationship.
The series, which was first shown in April 2013 received 5.78 million viewers.
Meanwhile, asked what his biggest fear is, McKellen said: "Professionally, forgetting my lines. Elsewhere, being in a car crash."

Olly Murs sheds a stone before co-hosting The X Factor

Olly Murs lost a stone after hitting the gym in preparation for co-hosting 'The X Factor'.
The 31-year-old singer - who was recently announced as the new presenter of the ITV talent show alongside 'Love Island' host Caroline Flack - has admitted he wanted to "get fit" ahead of starting his new job.
The 'Dear Darlin'' hitmaker said: "I have been going to the gym, eating well and I just wanted to get fit."
The singer also tipped Rita Ora and radio DJ Nick Grimshaw as his favourites to join the judging panel of the 'The X Factor', admitting it would be "a great coup" following Rita's stint on the BBC programme 'The Voice'.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Rita has done her judging on 'The Voice' so it would be a great coup to get her.
"Obviously she has got her own personality, she is fun and I think her and Grimmy as the supposed next two would be great."
Despite adhering to a strict fitness regime to prepare for his new on-screen role, Olly took a night off on Saturday (06.06.15), when he was spotted partying with 21-year-old One Direction singer Niall Horan at London's Mahiki nightclub.

Kristina Rihanoff considered quitting Strictly

Kristina Rihanoff considered quitting 'Strictly Come Dancing' last year after the scrutiny of her personal life became too much to take.
The professional dancer has become as famous for her romances with her partners on the BBC TV show as for her ballroom skills and she admits the constant judgment left her on the brink of walking away from the programme.
Kristina received much criticism after her former dance partner ex-England rugby ace Ben Cohen announced he was separating from his wife of 11 years last September, and rumours circulated that he and Kristina were to embark on a relationship.
In an interview on 'Loose Women', she said: "Last year, (I was) almost there. I was in a bad place because my mother was suffering with a breast cancer scare and the press were so horrific at that time that I thought that maybe there was a time where I needed to step out. She (my mother) was extremely upset and she was absolutely devastated to read some of those things ... I didn't come on the show to be portrayed in a certain way or for my private life to be slashed across the papers, because we all want some privacy."
Kristina was in a long-term relationship with former dance partner Joe Calzaghe but they split in 2013 and also was in a romance with 'Strictly...' dancer Vincent Simone.
The 37-year-old blonde beauty thinks it's time for the criticism of her love life to stop and wishes more women would support her rather than seemingly taking great glee in attacking her.
She said: "I think because I was raised in Soviet Russia for me it was always - let your work speak for itself, it's all about what you do on the dancefloor, how good you are as a dancer, as a choreographer and as a coach for your celebrities. That's what should be the topic of conversation.
"Years and years I've been here and I think it came to a point where I had to speak out and say something... I just don't understand why women are played against each other so widely ... I just don't think it always has to be negative publicity ... it's really up to me and the person I'm with to live our life and decide what's right, what's wrong."

Kym Marsh vanished from Dan Hooper’s Twitter

Dan Hooper has deleted his former fiancee Kym Marsh from his Twitter account.
The personal trainer - who split from the 'Coronation Street' actress last month - has removed all trace of the brunette beauty from his page on the social media site and is also reported to have unfollowed her.
Dan - who has five-year-old daughter Lexi with ex-girlfriend and 'Hollyoaks' actress Stephanie Waring - is believed to have made the decision to delete Kym from his account after she was spotted without her engagement ring.
The couple announced that they were taking a break from their relationship last month and although the brunette beauty admitted she was hoping they could work through their issues, they're now reported to have called time on their relationship for good.
A source said previously: "Kym is heartbroken. She carried on wearing her ring after she and Dan decided to take a break and hoped they'd get back together. But it has become clear there is no way back for them."
However, Kym - who plays barmaid Michelle Connor on the ITV soap - refused to sulk over the end of her engagement and performed at Liverpool's Music on the Waterfront on Saturday (06.05.15).

Michelle Heaton feels like a ‘weight has been lifted’ following cancer scare

Michelle Heaton feels like a "weight has been lifted" following her latest cancer scare.
The former Liberty X singer - who had a double mastectomy in 2012 followed by a full hysterectomy in 2014 after being diagnosed with a deadly cancer gene - has revealed she found two lumps earlier this year just as she thought her battle with the disease was over.
She said: "I think that you're lured into a sense of security.
"You're given a very low chance of contracting breast or ovarian cancer as you don't have much breast tissue or ovarian tissue.
"I never fathomed getting cancer in those areas again. You almost feel like you're bionic."
The 35-year-old star - who has children Faith and Aaron with husband Hugh Hanley - was so terrified of being diagnosed with cancer that she didn't tell Hugh about the lumps for two months.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I played it down. I put it to the back of my head. I just did not want it to be there."
However, as soon as she told him he made her visit her doctor straight away and Michelle was told there was a "50 per cent chance" they could be cancerous.
Speaking about the time she spent waiting to find out the results of her biopsy, the brunette beauty told The Sun newspaper: "I didn't let the kids or my husband see me but it gets to the point you just sit by yourself and cry. I've never done that through all the operations. I've always just got in with it ... I hadn't cried and I needed to do that. It wasn't feeling sorry for myself, it was just a release."
Luckily, once Michelle's results came back, she was told the lumps were benign but she now plans to be more "vigilant" and says she won't keep her worries bottled up any more.
She added: "I feel like a weight has been lifted. I feel like I needed to get rid of that negative energy and it's gone through crying.
"I needed the realisation I wasn't bionic. I feel so positive now and I check myself every couple of days."
