Antony Cotton to appear on Strictly Come Dancing?

'Coronation Street' actor Antony Cotton is desperate to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 39-year-old star - who has played factory worker Sean Tully on the soap for 12 years - has reportedly been begging ITV bosses to let him appear on the BBC celebrity dance contest despite him still being under contract.
However, insiders claim 'Corrie' bosses could make a special exception for Antony, who has been a massive fan of the show for years and even supported his close pal Lisa Riley as she took part in 2012.
A source said: "Antony would be fabulous on 'Strictly' and would be a massive ratings pull for them.
"He adores the show and there is no doubt he would love to be on it."
Antony is said to have become even more interested in the idea of competing on the show after attending his former co-star Michelle Keegan's wedding to Mark Wright, who made it to the final four last year.
The source told Daily Mirror newspaper: "When he was at Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright's wedding he was asking people from the Beeb about it and kind of putting his hat in the ring to be a contestant.
"There were some 'Strictly' people at the wedding who had become close to Mark when he was in it last year and they were chatting to Antony all about it.
"Back at Granada it was the gossip in the Green Room that he could be the shock star this year.
"It really would be ground breaking for an active 'Corrie' artist to take part in 'Strictly' so it's a wait and see situation."
Meanwhile, other celebrities rumoured to have signed up for the upcoming series include former 'X Factor' winner Joe McElderry, TV presenter Adrian Chiles and Spice Girls star Mel B.

Love Island’s Lauren Richardson cries on first night

'Love Island' star Lauren Richardson was left in tears when none of the boys chose her as their date.
The 26-year-old beauty - who is reported to have slept with former One Direction star Zayn Malik while on holiday in Thailand earlier this year - broke down in tears as she admitted she felt like the "ugly duckling" of the group in the first episode of the revamped ITV2 show last night (07.06.15).
The community sports officer was forced to choose which of the boys she wanted to be paired with when all five of the male contestants claimed they didn't fancy her.
She said: "'No one stepped forward for me, so it made me feel a bit awkward and a bit embarrassed.
"I know it's only the first 24 hours, but I feel like the ugly duckling."
And she faced yet more embarrassment when her alleged fling with Zayn, 22 - who is engaged to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards - was brought to her fellow contestants' attention by Essex lad Jon.
Insisting nothing happened between them, Lauren said: "I didn't sleep with him. I had a picture with Zayn from One Direction. When we come out of the nightclub, there was just a picture of us holding hands when we came out of the nightclub."
Elsewhere during the show, Jessica Hayes locked lips with Joshua Ritchie before appearing to have some under-the-sheets action with him.
However, the arrival of twins John and Tony Alberti at the end of the episode may have thrown a spanner in the works for their romance as both she and Danielle Pyne were chosen by the brothers to enjoy a date in a secret room in the Spanish villa.
'Love Island' continues tonight (08.06.15) at 9pm on ITV2.

Sarah-Jane Crawford: Breast cancer scare changed my outlook on life

Sarah-Jane Crawford has a new "outlook" on life after going through a breast cancer scare.
The former 'Xtra Factor' presenter has revealed she found a lump in her right breast before taking on the job on the spin-off show to 'The X Factor' and was terrified it was cancer before it was diagnosed as a papilloma, which is a wart in the breast duct.
Speaking about how she now tries to take "good" care of her self and check for lumps more regularly, she said: "My breast cancer scare changed my outlook on life. It definitely reminded me that as humans we are not fallible and that we need to take good care of ourselves more and more as the years roll by.
"It also made me realise that I'm not immune to something like breast cancer so I need to keep on top of checking up on myself."
The BBC Radio 1 Xtra DJ is also looking to improve her lifestyle by eating "organic" food, which have less "toxins".
She told MailOnline: "I'm certainly much more aware of the right and wrong things to do. For example, I'd always shop organic these days as I don't want to absorb as many toxins as I used to since that can lead to oestrogen levels rising and therefore you may be more prone to lumps and bumps."

Chris Evans confirms involvement in Top Gear project

Chris Evans has confirmed he's working on a "secret" 'Top Gear' project.
The BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show host has revealed he's working on a "secret 'Top Gear' film" despite having vehemently denied he was set to take over from Jeremy Clarkson after he was sacked for punching a producer earlier this year.
Asked whether he had started to present the BBC motoring show yet, Chris said: "Not started yet, but we are doing a secret 'Top Gear' film on Tuesday."
The 49-year-old star - who is set to bring back his live music show 'TFI Friday' this week - went on to insist the project is being kept under wraps.
Speaking on Channel 4's 'Sunday Brunch', he explained: "It still will be [secret], because nobody knows where it's going to be but we're going to make one and see how it goes.
"We're making a 'Top Gear' - we're doing a 'Top Gear' sequence with an independent production company and we're going to see how it goes."
Following Evans' confession, Clarkson and his former 'Top Gear' colleagues James May and Richard Hammond - who are reported to have snubbed the BBC's big-money attempts to make them return to the show - took to their Twitter accounts to mock the flame-haired presenter.
Clarkson wrote: "Next week, I'm doing a pilot Radio 2 breakfast show with an independent production company. We'll see how it goes."
Reiterating the controversial presenter's point, May said: "I'm working on a new TV idea, with an independent production company, called TFI Thursday. We'll see how it goes."
Hammond added: "Next week I'm doing a pilot of The Two Show on Fridays with an independent production company. We'll see how it goes."
Following the news that Clarkson had been axed from 'Top Gear' Evans took to his radio show to insist he had no interest in taking over his job.
He said at the time: "This is not true. Not only is it not true - it's absolute nonsense."

Jules and Matisse have ‘Hollywood ambitions’

Jules and Matisse have "Hollywood ambitions".
The 'Britain's Got Talent' winner Jules O'Dwyer has revealed she has high hopes of storming Hollywood with her canine companion, despite a wave of complaints following the act's victory last week when it was revealed a stunt dog was used for part of their routine.
Jules told The Sun newspaper: "I have Hollywood ambitions and I know Matisse's capabilities. The dogs will always perform because it is for their mental and physical stimulation.
"Doing a TV series for kids would also be a dream. If anyone could help me it would be Simon Cowell, who makes his own shows.
"He also said that we no longer need to look for the new Lassie."
The move would follow in the footsteps of the 2012 winners of the ITV talent show, Ashleigh and Pudsey, who went on to release the critically panned 'Pudsey: The Movie' last year.
But in the meantime, the 48-year-old dog trainer has admitted she feels for the safety of her prize-winning pooches, as she is convinced someone will try to steal them.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I'll probably have to increase security as their value has gone up. They're my babies - if anything happened I'd be distraught."
However, Jules said her secret weapon is another one of her mutts, who she thinks would scare away anyone thinking of kidnapping her pets.
She added: "My biggest security is my German Shepherd, who is 60 kilos. Nobody walks past that. He's silent but deadly."

Lenny Henry to receive knighthood

Lenny Henry is to be awarded a knighthood.
The 56-year-old comedian is set to be knighted in the Queen's birthday honours list, announced next weekend, in celebration of the 30-year anniversary of Comic Relief, which he co-founded with comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis in 1985.
A palace insider told The Sun newspaper: "This is a well-deserved recognition for an entertainer who has tirelessly used his talents to help others who are not so fortunate."
Earlier this year the charity revealed it had raised a total of £1 billion during its 30 years, with the money funding almost 16,000 projects in the UK and 70 abroad.
Despite the fact his high profile as a TV star helped him launch the hugely successful organisation, Lenny - who was awarded the CBE in 1999 - said he would never let his adopted daughter Billie follow him and her mother, comedian Dawn French, into the showbiz world.
The stand-up star - who is currently starring in BBC drama 'The Syndicate' - told The Times newspaper: "I would never let a child of mine near showbusiness. I watch 'The X Factor' and 'The Voice' and hear kids go on and say, 'I'm 16'. It's so exploitative for little kids. It's well dodgy."

Niall Horan would be ‘worst judge ever’ on X Factor

Niall Horan believes he would be "the worst judge ever" on 'The X Factor'.
The One Direction star has been rumoured to be taking a place on the judging panel for the singing competition's upcoming twelfth series, but dismissed the claims by saying he would be "terrible".
Speaking at Capital's Summertime Ball with Vodafone, he told BANG Showbiz: "I'll be the worst judge ever. I'll be terrible."
Bandmate Louis Tomlinson also took the opportunity to refute claims he'll be taking a spot on the panel.
Brushing off rumours, he said: "I've got a tour to do so unfortunately not."
Fellow 'The X Factor' stars Little Mix insisted they are hoping for a surprise comeback for Tulisa Contostavlos, who appeared as a judge for two series' in 2011 and 2012.
Jesy Nelson said: "We are all team Tulisa and Chezza (Cheryl Fernandez-Versini)."
Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "We are going to miss Louis. He's such a big part of the show so it will be weird seeing him go."
Meanwhile Olly Murs, who has taken over presenting duties along with Caroline Flack from veteran host Dermot O'Leary, teased plenty of changes for the prime-time show, all of which he is "excited" for.
He explained: "I'm excited because the boot camps are changing, judges' houses are changing, the live shows are going to be different. It's going to be something new for everyone.
"We want people who are going to be fun on the panel with big, strong personalities so I'm hoping Simon will get the right team."

Kym Marsh ends relationship with Dan Hooper

Kym Marsh has split for good from her fiancé Dan Hooper.
The 'Coronation Street' actress and her personal trainer partner had been on a trial separation after encountering relationship difficulties.
Although, the couple - who have children, Emily, David and Polly - had hoped it would only be a short-term break after several attempts to repair their relationship they have decided to call it off completely.
An inside for 'Corrie' told The Sun newspaper: "There are a lot of feelings still there, but the engagement was too much, too soon, and seems to have driven a wedge between them. Neither was prepared to go through with the marriage when it wasn't right. It wouldn't have been fair on them, or the kids involved."
The former 'Hearsay' singer was spotted without her engagement ring yesterday (05.06.16) and is said to be heartbroken and devastated.
The source revealed: "Kym is heartbroken. She carried on wearing her ring after she and Dan decided to take a break and hoped they'd get back together. But it has become clear there is no way back for them.
Kym's close pals are "gutted" the pair were unable to work through their problems.
The source added: "Kym's friends are loved Dan to bits and thought they made a great couple. They are gutted it hasn't worked out."
A spokesperson for Kym has declined to comment.

Rita Ora in talks to join X Factor

Rita Ora is in talks with Simon Cowell to move over to 'The X Factor' from 'The Voice UK'.
The 55-year-old music mogul is said to have held secret talks with the 'Poison' hitmaker and is eyeing up Rita - who was a judge on 2015's 'The Voice' and has acted as a guest judge on 'X Factor' - as a replacement for former Spice Girl Melanie Brown. However, ITV bosses are "keeping options open" in case she decides to decline signing a contract and stick with the BBC.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: "Re-signing Cheryl and getting Grimmy changed everything. Rita really wants to be on that panel now so it's a matter of making the logistics work. There's a lot to work through. Show bosses are keeping options open in case Rita is unable to sign."
Cowell is shaking up the judging panel for the next series with Nick Grimshaw set to replace Louis Walsh - who was axed from the show after 11 years as a judge - and Caroline Flack and Olly Murs will official take over as hosts in replacement of Dermot O'Leary.
The show insider has said the full line-up is not set in stone.
The insider added: "There is particularly intense speculation over the judging panel this year. No formal decision has been made on the full line-up as yet."
