‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp’ will ‘never come back’

'Harry Hill's TV Burp' will "never come back".
A writer for the ITV2 series has revealed that toward the end of its 11-year-run, TV bosses turned on the popular show and blocked them from mocking programmes including ITV's 'Coronation Street' and BBC One's 'EastEnders' - but Channel 4 were the worst culprits.
David Quantick said: "TV Burp will never come back because TV companies are wise. There is a thing in telly called 'fair dealing', which means you can show anything for free, as long as you're reviewing it.
"You're not supposed to take the mickey out of it and say (Corrie star) 'Beverley Callard looks like a fire extinguisher'. You're supposed to make erudite comments.
"Channel 4, I can reveal, were b******s because we would ask for a clip and they'd say, 'It's too sensitive'.
"You're like, 'It's not that sensitive when you're showing a documentary called [something like] 'I'm a Stupid Disabled Person'."
And the writer admitted that frontman Harry was irreplaceable after he finally decided to quit in 2012.
He said: "There was talk [about] doing it with someone else. But, the thing is, it wouldn't work.
"If it had been anybody else, the humour would have been ordinary."
Meanwhile, the comedian, 47, confessed at the time that the show turned into "extreme boredom and extreme stress" for him because of the pressure to turn out so many episodes.
He said: "They never let me do just eight shows, and if they had, I could have gone on till they carried me off.
"I think, in the end, we just about avoided it going a bit s**t."

Vicky Pattison thinks sex is waste of time

Vicky Pattison thinks sex is a "waste of time".
The 'Geordie Shore' star claims she finds being intimate with men "uncomfortable and awkward" and would prefer to spend time with her friends.
She said: "To be honest, sex feels like a waste of time and I'd rather be doing something else, such as having a nap or seeing my mates.
"I find the whole thing uncomfortable and awkward.
"I've had rough sex in the past and used sex toys but I find it all a bit brutal and it's not my thing.
"The kinkiest thing I've done that I've enjoyed is dressing up in a nurse's outfit."
The 27-year-old launched her own fitness business last year but insists she's still self conscious about her figure and will always think of herself as a "fat girl" because of the weight she piled on following her split from her ex-fiance and former co-star Ricci Guarnaccio.
Writing in her book 'All That Glitters', Vicky shared: "I know people have a perception that I'm loud, opinionated and confident.
"When I'm wearing a going-out dress and have had a couple of gin and tonics I can talk to blokes, but back in the bedroom I fall apart."

Kirsty Gallacher signs up for Strictly Come Dancing

Kirsty Gallacher is to take part in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The Sky Sports presenter has reportedly agreed to compete in the BBC One celebrity dance contest later this year in a bid to get her foot in the door of the entertainment industry.
A source revealed: "Kirsty's absolutely thrilled that Strictly have signed her up. Kirsty sees it as a brilliant opportunity to get into another side of broadcasting and TV. She loves sport but would love to start doing a bit of entertainment work."
The 39-year-old beauty - who is the daughter of retired golf professional Bernard Gallacher - is said to be a great choice for the show and is even being tipped to win.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "She'll be perfect for it. She's stunning and very athletic. She's also very likeable, so it will be a great chance to let the public see her personality ... And there is every chance she could win."
Kirsty split from rugby star Paul Sampson - with whom she has sons Oscar and Jude - in 2014 and their divorce was finalised earlier this year meaning she could be open to a romance on the show.
The source added: "She's a single girl at the moment, so she wouldn't be against meeting someone.
"Strictly's always a hotbed for romance. So who knows, Kirsty could be in luck."
Other celebrities being lined up to appear on the 2015 series of the show include former 'The One Show' host Adrian Chiles, 'The X Factor's Joe McElderry, Michelle Heaton and former 'Coronation Street' actress Georgia May Foote.

Stephanie Davis axed from Hollyoaks

'Hollyoaks' star Stephanie Davis has had her contract "terminated".
The 22-year-old actress, who has played Sinead O'Conner since she was 16, has received the axe from the Channel 4 soap "with immediate effect" under mysterious circumstances.
It's not yet clear what prompted the decision to cancel the star's contract, although a spokesperson for the show confirmed the news, saying: "Stephanie Davis will no longer be filming 'Hollyoaks'. Her contract has been terminated with immediate effect."
Stephanie rose to fame while appearing in BBC talent search show 'Over the Rainbow' but was snapped up by the soap a short while after she left the competition, having previously had minor roles in 'Holby City' and 'Doctors'.
The abrupt firing comes just months after she revealed she had signed up for another year on the show, saying she was "really happy" to still be on the programme.
She said at the time: "I'm really happy. I've been in the show since I was 16 and I'm 22 now. I've kind of grown up here, which has been mental."
Stephanie's character was introduced to the show in 2010 as part of the O'Conner family, with Ross Adams recently being cast as Sinead's cousin.

Charlotte Crosby had cancer scare aged 18

Charlotte Crosby had a cancer scare when she was 18.
The 'Geordie Shore' star found a lump in her breast when she was a teenager and that, along with the news that her pal and former 'Celebrity Big Brother' co-star Carol McGiffin had been diagnosed with breast cancer, has prompted her to check herself more regularly.
She said: "I love Carol and it was a massive shock. Massive. It did prompt me to check myself more. I always worry about this and I've had numerous trips back and forth to the clinic over the years. I'm really quite sensible like that."
Speaking about her own terrifying experience, she added: "When I was 18, I found a lump in my boob and went straight to the doctors with my mum. They sent me to the hospital for some tests and it turned out it was just an extra milk duct in my breast - but I do check regularly now."
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old beauty says she and boyfriend Mitch Jenkins have delayed their plans to buy a house together.
She explained to Now magazine: "We've had to put it on hold because I'm too busy at the minute. There's no trouble and we're stronger than ever - it's just not the time to be juggling my work with looking for houses."

Alex Jones ‘loses it’ when she interviews hunky stars

Alex Jones "loses it" when she has to interview hunky stars.
The 'One Show' presenter insists she never gets starstruck by the famous guests on the programme, but she does feel flustered if they are particularly attractive.
She said: "I've never been overawed by famous people.
"But I do lose it sometimes, usually when there's a good-looking man involved. And that's not because they're famous - it's because they are fit."
The Welsh star - who is engaged to Charlie Thompson - was particularly impressed by the "perfect" David Beckham.
She gushed: "We did a show in Cornwall with David Beckham when the Olympic torch arrived. He was perfect.
"He had a lovely navy suit on and, honestly, he just smells incredible - cleaner than any man I've ever met, ever.
"I thought the catch with him is that he'd be short, but nope, he's really tall too. He's got it all."
And the 38-year-old presenter was so "mortified" by her on-screen encounter with Gerard Butler, that she had to walk off set because co-host Chris Evans suggested the actor ask her out.
She told heat magazine: "Chris suggested that Gerard Butler should take me out for a drink - live on air.
"I was so mortified that I had to leave the set. I just walked off, because I was dying. And the thing is, Gerard was actually up for going for a drink after! My fiance Charlie was in the building, joking, 'I'm going to kill him.' "

Chloe Wilburn wins Big Brother

Chloe Wilburn has won 'Big Brother 2015'.
The 25-year-old office administrator appeared emotional as she waited to hear whether she or Joel Williams had triumphed in this year's contest and was stunned to hear the news, crying after it was announced by host Emma Willis earlier this evening (16.07.15).
When she eventually left the house after Joel's exit, Chloe sobbed and broke down even further as she stepped out to face a rapturous audience.
Though she admitted she was "chuffed" to win, the Doncaster-born contestant said she didn't feel she deserved to take the crown.
She added: "I really think people just forgot I was in there."
Despite missing out at the last minute, Joel was gracious in defeat, shouting "You deserve it" to Chloe as he left the house to huge cheers from the crowd.
And during his exit interview the aspiring politician said he felt "very humbled" that fans had voted for him, but declared Chloe a "worthy winner".
Earlier in the evening, Danny Wisker was placed third and admitted he was "s**tting it" as he left the famous house and was visibly tearful as he exited the building to face the crowd.
During his interview with Emma, he admitted he found it "so overwhelming" to be out, especially when he saw his friends wearing special t-shirts.
Jack McDermott left the house in fourth place, and said he had found it "amazing" to be voted as the 'winner' early on, but admitted it gave him a lot of pressure to live up to.
He added: "But I'm quite humbled to have had that."
This evening's final began with Christian MJC and Nick Henderson leaving the house in sixth and fifth place respectively.

Duncan James loves ‘freaking’ people out in drag

Duncan James enjoys "freaking everybody out" when he's in drag.
The 37-year-old star is set to play drag queen Tick in the UK tour of the play 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert' and he's revealed he loves video-calling his family and friends when he's had his over the top make-up done.
He said: "I've never actually had anybody do that level of drag make-up ... Apart from [former 'Dancing on Ice' judge] Mr. Jason Gardiner did it on me once for a birthday party but we won't talk about that.
"It's so crazy because you don't actually know what you're going to look like until you've got it on so it was very strange and I wanted to just FaceTime my mum and my daughter and everybody and just freak everybody out!"
The Blue singer also confessed he'd be thrilled if his eight-year-old daughter Tianie-Finn decided to follow him into the entertainment industry.
He told ITV's 'Lorraine': "She wants to be on stage and she's an incredible little dancer and performer and so I think, as a parent, it's important to encourage and support, and a lot of people in my industry who've got children, they'll be like, 'I don't want my children going into this'. You've got to care and nurture and support them."

Jamie Oliver: I’m not a ‘squirrell’

Jamie Oliver insists he's not a "squirrel" and loves spending money on new ventures.
The 40-year-old celebrity chef and business mogul - who built a food empire worth a reported £180 million around a chain of restaurants, books and TV appearances - revealed that even if he fails he still enjoys investing his money in exciting projects.
He said: "One of the good but bad things is I am not a squirrel. I spend everything I have on having a go at something new. I've always learnt things, even from my failures, but I'm trying to focus-in now."
And Jamie - who grew his famous career whilst having four children, Daisy, Poppy, Buddy and Petal, with his wife of fifteen years, Jules - admitted that he will slow down "in about ten years" but in the meantime, he wants to go back to basics and concentrate on cooking and writing books.
When asked whether he would downsize his empire to concentrate on his family, he told The Times newspaper: "Absolutely. Whatever. Closing. Selling stuff off. Selling stuff to management. Just reducing things that we're doing
"I'm currently reviewing my life ... I just want to concentrate on cooking and writing, and that's it."
