Kirsty Gallacher is to take part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Sky Sports presenter has reportedly agreed to compete in the BBC One celebrity dance contest later this year in a bid to get her foot in the door of the entertainment industry.
A source revealed: "Kirsty’s absolutely thrilled that Strictly have signed her up. Kirsty sees it as a brilliant opportunity to get into another side of broadcasting and TV. She loves sport but would love to start doing a bit of entertainment work."
The 39-year-old beauty – who is the daughter of retired golf professional Bernard Gallacher – is said to be a great choice for the show and is even being tipped to win.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "She’ll be perfect for it. She’s stunning and very athletic. She’s also very likeable, so it will be a great chance to let the public see her personality … And there is every chance she could win."
Kirsty split from rugby star Paul Sampson – with whom she has sons Oscar and Jude – in 2014 and their divorce was finalised earlier this year meaning she could be open to a romance on the show.
The source added: "She’s a single girl at the moment, so she wouldn’t be against meeting someone.
"Strictly’s always a hotbed for romance. So who knows, Kirsty could be in luck."
Other celebrities being lined up to appear on the 2015 series of the show include former ‘The One Show’ host Adrian Chiles, ‘The X Factor’s Joe McElderry, Michelle Heaton and former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Georgia May Foote.
