Cilla Black could have been saved

Cilla Black could have survived if she was immediately found, a pathologist's report has revealed.
The document explains the 72-year-old star - who died from a stroke after falling and hitting her head at her Spanish villa on the weekend - was exposed to the sun's heat for at least four hours after incurring her injuries, which may have otherwise not been fatal.
The report, seen by The Sun newspaper, said: "The most likely hypothesis is that, being on the terrace, for some reason she lost her balance, stumbled, she falls, upturning the table she has near to her with a fall backwards, hitting her head on the wall.
"This originates the focal subarachnoid hemorrhage with a loss of consciousness, being exposed to the sun for apparently four hours.
"A subarachnoid hemorrhage doesn't normally cause sudden death but it can produce a loss of consciousness and depending on the state of health of the person and the context can cause death.
"That can either be through lack of consciousness or obstruction of the airways by the tongue or the lack of medical attention during a certain time period, causing a brain alteration with subsequent heart and/or lung consequences and death."
Temperatures that day at the resort of Estepona near Marbella reached approximately 31C (88F).
Cilla's eldest son Bobby, 45, who had been in another part of the property at the time, discovered his mother's body on the sun terrace of her room after breaking down the door because she failed to rise from a nap.
The 'Blind Date' presenter had reportedly suffered a series of falls as a result of her arthritis - including one just days earlier at the house of a friend - and the post-mortem report described Cilla's death as "of violent origin".
Her sons, Bobby, Ben and Jack confirmed in a statement that their mother died from a stroke.

Piers Morgan offered Dancing with the Stars deal

Piers Morgan has been offered £200,000 to appear on 'Dancing with the Stars'.
The British journalist claims he was offered the huge sum to strut his stuff on the popular US dance show and received similar offers from the UK equivalent, 'Strictly Come Dancing', but would never consider the fees because he would be embarrassed by his moves.
He said: "This year I have been offered a lot of money to do 'Strictly' - I think it was six figures, and 'Dancing with the Stars' in America, which was a lot of money, about $300,000 (almost £200,000).
"But there is not enough money in Fort Knox to get me to dance in public. However, a bottle of Jack Daniel's is a different matter.
"I had my 50th recently and Amanda Holden and me were doing the old bongo dance until 3am, which was very impressive.
"In that situation I'll dance, but not on national TV."
However the ex-patriot - who resides in the US - insisted he is usually up for reality TV and loved his stint on the UK's 'Celebrity Apprentice', even though he was kicked off because Lord Alan Sugar is a "twisted little Spurs fan".
Piers, 50, told The Sun newspaper: "I did 'Celebrity Apprentice' in the UK and did one challenge, raised the most money of any contestant and I was the one who got fired because Alan Sugar is a bitter and twisted little Spurs fan.
"On the back of it, I went to take part in a real billionaires show, the one in America with Donald Trump. I won it, which is indicative of my real standing when it comes to that show."

Alicya Eyo pleased with Emmerdale exit

Alicya Eyo feels "honoured" that her 'Emmerdale' exit came with the helicopter crash.
The 39-year-old actress bowed out of her role as Ruby Haswell last night (05.08.15) following the dramatic stunt, which saw the chopper plunge from the sky into the village hall and she was "so excited" about being a key part of the huge storyline.
She said: "It was a good few months ago now that I had the heads-up, and I was so excited about the storyline. If you're going to go, what a way to go - it's not every day that you get a helicopter blade to the abdomen!
"Just to be part of the episode was brilliant and I feel really honoured.
"I couldn't wait to shoot it and it was even better than I expected when we did. The atmosphere was electric.
"Playing Ruby's death scenes was quite hard and sad, but I was just so lucky to have such a great director and Laura Norton (Kerry) and Liam Fox (Dan) there filming with me. I couldn't have wished for it to be any better."
Alicya kept her departure from the soap so secret, she didn't even tell her family because she wanted them to be as shocked as everyone else.
Asked if it has been hard to keep her exit secret, she told DigitalSpy: "It has been, but I also quite enjoy stuff like that because I wanted the episode to have as much impact as it could.
"I didn't even tell my family and there were loads of people who I'm quite close to but decided not to tell until after the episode had been on.
"I've been asked some difficult and tricky questions so that's been the hard part, but I've managed it!"

Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley ‘always had a spark’

Patrick Kielty says there was "always" a "spark" between him and Cat Deeley.
The 44-year-old comedian-turned-presenter married the 'So You Think You Can Dance' host in 2012 despite meeting 10 years earlier but he's now insisted they always had chemistry.
He said: "There was always a little bit of a spark between us but either she was with someone or I was with someone and by the time we were both single she was in America. It was always one of those things that never worked out.
"Women tend to be in charge and we men just have to get on the pitch, stand on the leg that's shaking most and not drop the ball when it comes our way."
The couple - who met while presenting the talent show 'Fame Academy' together - don't like to plan too far ahead as they like to spend as much time together as possible.
Patrick explained to Radio Times magazine: "The longest we've been apart is two weeks. We only plan two or three months in advance, because we want to be together - it's a nice way to live."
Patrick also claimed that while they'd be thrilled if they were to have children, they're in no rush.
He added: "Will you have kids... will this happen if you get this job... I tend to find with all things in life now, I am not a planner. If we're lucky enough to have kids... all that stuff's down the road. We're just taking it a step at a time."

Jack P Shepherd loves watching his Corrie scenes

Jack P. Shepherd only watches his own 'Coronation Street' scenes.
The 27-year-old actor - who has children Nyla and Reuben with partner Lauren Shippey - can't understand why he has never been nominated for a comedy award for his portrayal of villainous David Platt because he thinks he's hilarious.
He said: "If I'm nominated [for an award], I want to win. If I'm not nominated, I want to know why. I wasn't nominated for best comedy performance...
"I am funny. I only watch my scenes at home. I know what's coming and laugh at myself. I go to my girlfriend, 'Watch, watch, watch.' And nothing."
Jack has been at the forefront of a number of gripping storylines on the soap, and though his dream plot would involve David becoming a murderer, he doesn't want there to be any aftermath.
He told heat magazine: "I would like to be a serial killer, but only for one episode that isn't advertised.
"I'd like to be sat playing my PlayStation, then go out, find someone random, strangle them and then go back home and unpause my game and carry on.
"No one ever finds out, no storyline, nothing. I think that would be really good."

Bake Off contestants fear seagull attack

'Great British Bake Off' contestants are worried about being attacked by killer seagulls.
The BBC show - which sees passionate amateur bakers complete against each other - will return to TV screens tonight (05.08.15) but contestant Mat Riley is worried about an avian invasion.
He told the Daily Star: "My main fear would be if a bird flew in through the window. I'm not a fan of birds."
As the show is filmed in a marquee in Berkshire with plenty of openings for birds to get through, he could have to face his fears.
Mat's comments come after a number of recent attacks by seagulls on people have left them with injuries including 66-year-old Sue Atkinson who was left bleeding from a head wound after being dive-bombed by a gull in Cornwall.
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that BBC Two are planning a professional version of 'The Great British Bake Off' which stars Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.
A casting call on the website Chefs In Scotland has revealed the channel's plans to have professional bakers go up against one another in a format similar to that of the hit show.
According to Digital Spy, it reads: "Love Productions - makers of 'The Great British Bake Off' - are launching a brand new TV series for BBC Two.
"We've brought the excitement of amateur homebaking to a wider audience. Now it's time to showcase and celebrate the elite from the world of professional pastry in the UK."

Noel Edmonds: ‘Death doesn’t exist’

Noel Edmonds doesn't believe in death.
The 66-year-old TV presenter has developed a keen interest in electro-magnetism and revealed his belief that people cannot die but rather their energy will simply go back to where it came from.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "If you want to be happy you need to think of yourself as a container of energy. There is a universal energy, yes of course, it embraces us.
"When you appreciate this, life becomes a lot more exciting. You don't live life, life lives you. There isn't such a thing as death, it's just departure. You cannot die. It's been known for a very long time.
"The energy leaves your container but it has to go somewhere. You cannot destroy energy. My energy will return to where it came from - part of a massive, incomprehensible universal web of energy."
Noel also thinks that many of the world's problems are caused by an electro-magnetic imbalance.
He explained: "We're surrounded by electro mist, fog and smog. We're covering ourselves in the wrong sorts of electro-magnetism.
"These idiot politicians who talk about climate change, for goodness sake, do they really think little us can do anything about it? No, of course not."

Ruth Langsford loves old pants

Ruth Langsford owns a pair of knickers that are over five years old.
The 55-year-old presenter and her husband Eamonn Holmes got into a conversation about her underwear drawer on 'This Morning' today (05.08.15) and Ruth hinted she owns some pairs of pants that are way past their prime.
Eamon said: "So two out of three of you, according to a 'This Morning' poll, admit to owning a pair of pants that is over five years old."
To which Ruth responded with a smile: "Yeah, nothing wrong with that!"
Eamonn added: "You wouldn't allow me to own five year old underwear?!"
Ruth then said: "Well it depends what they look like, doesn't it? If they're all grey then no."
Ruth insists most women share her love of "old but trustworthy" underwear and also admitted she prefers wearing comfortable pants to sexy lingerie.
Ruth said: "You have your classics in your underwear drawer don't you? Your go-to bra and the big comfy pants ... Old but trustworthy, you see ... Women know I'm telling the truth."

Emma Willis’ Prized Apart axed

Emma Willis' new game show 'Prized Apart' has been axed.
The prime time Saturday night series - co-hosted by Reggie Yates - struggled to draw more than three million viewers in its first season, despite being widely hyped by BBC One bosses.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "We are proud of 'Prized Apart' and would like to thank everyone involved for their ambition and hard work, but it will not be returning for a second series."
The show featured 10 couples who were separated for six weeks but still had to work together on tasks to compete for a £1000,000 cash prize.
Its launch was delayed by BBC bosses in order to avoid a clash with Simon Cowell's 'Britain's Got Talent' which airs on ITV and regularly attracts over 10 million viewers.
Speaking previously about the show, Emma said: "'Prized Apart' will be nail-biting, emotional and full of energy. I'll be there with the partners in the studio as they watch their loved ones go through their hellish challenges in mystery locations abroad. It should be lots of fun to see how far the contestants will go for their loved ones. I can't wait to get stuck in."
BBC One's controller Charlotte Moore described 'Prized Apart' as a "game-changing Saturday night adventure show".
She said: "I've been looking for an entertainment format that feels genuinely game-changing and 'Prized Apart' delivers to the max. Jeopardy, heart and high emotion come together inside the studio and out."
