Emily Blunt's pregnancy was "the coolest thing that's ever happened" to her.
The British actress, who welcomed her first child, Hazel, with husband John Krasinski into the world in February, took a "non-fuss, non-intense" approach to preparing for parenthood and embraced the opportunity to indulge on gluten-free cookies.
The 'Devil Wears Prada' star, 31, told the April issue of Vogue magazine, shortly before giving birth: "It's really the coolest thing that's ever happened to me. I feel good, although I do wake up feeling like my grandmother."
She added: "I sleep with a fortress of pillows around me. I've got one of those huge C-shaped ones. My husband calls it Gary."
Asked about her craving for cookies, she said: "I know everyone rolls their eyes, but I met a hippie doctor who suggested it, and it's really helped me in the pregnancy."
Emily also decided not to read anything about delivering her daughter before the birth in Los Angeles.
She explained: "Everyone says don't go online and read as few books as you possibly can."
The brunette beauty and John, 34, announced their baby's birth via Twitter almost two months ago.
The proud new dad tweeted: "Wanted to let the news out directly. Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today! Happy bday! (sic)"

Julia Roberts upgraded the security system at her Malibu mansion after a "crazed stalker" tried to break-in.
The 'August: Osage County' star's team of bodyguards, comprised of all ex-US military, reportedly intercepted the intruder when he tried to gain access to her $9.5 million property in California in January, but he managed to run off before police arrived at the scene.
A neighbour, who witnessed the incident, told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "By the time I got there, the man was just crawling out of the cactus bush outside her property and the security guards were talking to the police. One of them was boasting saying: 'I'm an ex-Marine and I just picked him up and threw him head first in the cactus.'
"The security told me that it was some crazed stalker guy. He was a brave man for even trying to get in her place, as it's swarming with her detail and we have the Sheriff's Department come round every half an hour checking the street.
"The police didn't bother to try and catch him. They talked to the security then left."
Following the incident, Julia, who lives in the property with her husband Daniel Moder, nine-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and six-year-old son Henry, installed more cameras around the property and hired a new guard to prevent other unwanted visitors from getting close to her family.
The neighbour said: "Since that incident, she's had a guy in a blacked out car sat at the end of the cul-de-sac monitoring the comings and goings of the road. She's got cameras everywhere over her property, including two inside her gate. She's obviously determined for this not to happen again."

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi is pregnant.
The former 'Jersey Shore' star and her fiancé Jionni LaValle - who already have 20-month-old son Lorenzo - will have a "busy year" ahead of them as they are expecting their second child this autumn, which is around the same time they are set to tie the knot.
Snooki told Us Weekly: "Jionni and I were trying to have our second baby since November, so every month we kept taking tests, I'm due in the fall around my wedding time. Busy year!"
The couple have endured a lengthy engagement as Jionni popped the question over two years ago, but Snooki insists the baby's impending birth won't hinder her wedding plans and she wants to be in great shape for the big day.
She added: "I can clarify that our wedding is still on, and we are madly in love with each other. We've waited long enough and cannot wait. I also want to look somewhat in shape for my wedding. So along with still being a healthy pregnant woman, I still want to be strong and fit!"
Rumours of Snooki's pregnant first circulated in February but she declined to comment and, while she has openly discussed wanting a large family, she previously said she would put off having more children until after she wed and had built her dream home.

Emma Stone is obsessed with ghosts.
The 25-year-old actress has a morbid fascination with dying and admits she used to hang out in grave yards when she was younger because she liked "spooky things".
Emma said: "I was always in cemeteries when I was a kid. I was really into spooky things like ghosts and death."
The 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' star, who shot to fame after appearing in 'Superbad' in 2007, believes her success is down to the unique mindset she developed as a child.
She told The Guardian newspaper: "I have had an awareness of mortality since I was around six or seven. If it's not been in the forefront of my mind, it has at least been creeping over my shoulders.
"Everything happened younger because of that mentality; it has made me appreciate life in a really big way.
"It makes you live more fully if you are aware that you only have a finite amount of time."
Despite her successful career, Emma admits she lacks confidence in herself and finds death "oddly comforting."
She said: "I have never been an entirely carefree person. I am a mess in every way."

The singer shared two adorable snapshots of her kids, 22-month-old daughter Maxwell and nine-month-old son Ace Knute, on Instagram last night (03.04.14) and took the opportunity to express how "grateful" she is to have the youngsters in her life.
Alongside a photo of baby Ace in a plaid onesie, she wrote: "...now I know what my life is about. I am so grateful."
Jessica also posted a picture of Maxwell accompanied with the caption, "Maxi can't wait for RIO2", referencing the Amazonian rainforest animated sequel.
The proud mother, who has recently shed 50lbs of her baby weight, is engaged to Eric Johnson and is determined to stay in shape for her big day later this year.
She said previously: "Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, count my points and stay in the gym. I mean, when you see my dress, you'll know."
The blonde beauty is said to have changed the location for the ceremony at the last minute, moving the procedures from the Italian island of Capri this summer to somewhere closer to home in Los Angeles.

Gwyneth Paltrow's mother is helping her deal with her split from Chris Martin.
The 41-year-old actress has been seeking comfort from Blythe Danner since it was announced last month she and the Coldplay frontman - who have children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven - were calling time on their 10-year marriage.
A source said: "She is feeling this real sense of failure. She tried to put on a brave face. But finally, as her mum tried to comfort her, she broke down."
The 'Iron Man 3' star is "all over the map emotionally" as she's struggling to deal with the continuous public speculation, while trying to come to terms with her split.
The source explained: "On one hand, she's glad they're going forward. But this is also such a painful time.
"She's a lot more sensitive than anybody knows. She's absolutely terrified that divorcing Chris will make her an even bigger target for everyone to hate on."
Although Chris initially wanted to work at their issues and save their marriage, friends now believe he's relieved they've ended their relationship.
One pal told American's OK! magazine: "There is a big part of Chris that's relieved. The marriage had become extremely suffocating for him."

Jennifer Garner's says her charity work has made her a better mother.
The 'Butter' actress - who has two daughters, Violet, eight, and Seraphina, five, and two-year-old son Samuel with her husband Ben Affleck - started working with children's rights organisation Save the Children six years ago and she insists helping out families that are struggling has helped her to be less stressed about juggling her own children and her career.
She told the latest issue of People magazine: "It's given me so much empathy for other moms, and more patience with myself. And with my kids, it's chilled me out, just knowing eye-to-eye connection matters. It's so much more simple than we all make it."
Jennifer, 41, was motivated to work with Save The Children because she wanted to help disadvantaged kids in her home country of America.
She added: "There's so much need all over the world, but for years I kept thinking, 'What about the kids that I grew up next to in West Virginia?' So six years ago, I started working with Save the Children, which helps rural America climb out of poverty.
"I've seen first hand how a little bit of encouragement from someone telling a mom, 'You can do this' can change a kid's life. Watching the light go on between a mom and her child is a total thrill."

Michael Palin has confirmed Monty Python will disband for good after their reunion shows.
The star claims the beloved comedy troupe's 10 live dates at The O2 arena this July will be the last time the veteran jokers will all perform together.
He told the BBC: "We hadn't exactly decided on the number of dates. We were going to do two, then four, then five, now it will be 10. July 20 will be the last night of the Pythons in the sense that there are absolutely no plans to do any more shows after that.
"We had to make a decision otherwise everyone expects you to tour America and Australia and all that. Because everybody's very busy with their own different projects, I don't think it will be possible to get all those together."
The reunion, which kicks off on July 1, will see Michael, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Terry Jones take to the stage for the first time since 2009, while Graham Chapman - who passed away in 1989 - will be sadly missed.
Michael, 70, explained the 'Life of Brian' funnymen didn't want to commit to international dates because they wanted it the reunion to be short but sweet.
He said: "The general feeling was that we'd rather have the rest of our life doing what we all wanted to do and not spend the years ahead touring Python. There's terrific international interest in Python, particularly in America.
"So I think they'll be a little bit miffed that we're not going over there. But they get everything. Too bad. They'll have to come here."
The Pythons have also released a new song, 'The Silly Walks Song', their first original material since 1999.

Jennifer Aniston is thinking about becoming a Buddhist.
The former 'Friends' star has been inspired to embrace spirituality by her friend Demi Moore and as well as learning more about Buddhism she is also exploring Kabbalah.
A source told the latest issue of America's OK! magazine: "As Jen gets older, she feels she's benefit from guidance. She's been talking to friends and has been interested in learning more about several religions, including Buddhism."
Jennifer - who is engaged to actor Justin Theroux - had dinner with Demi recently and took the opportunity to quiz the 'Ghost' star about her belief in Kabbalah, which is a mystical off-shoot off Judaism.
Jennifer, 45, was fascinated by what Demi, 51, said about her faith but is believed to be leaning towards Buddhism because she is such an ardent follower of yoga.
The source revealed: "Jen was struck by how calm and centred Demi seemed. Jen was intrigued and decided to get private lessons. She loves the idea of studying something spiritual, and she already does yoga, so it seems like a natural next step."
