Cory Monteith's father thinks Lea Michele should "enjoy life."
Joe Monteith opened up about the late 'Glee' star ahead of the first anniversary of his death tomorrow (13.07.14), and isn't upset that Cory's girlfriend, 27, has started dating again.
He told 'ET Canada': "She's a beautiful young woman, she's just getting to the top of her career and I don't expect her to go out and do it alone."
He added: "She should enjoy life. She had a good time when she was with Cory, from what I understand, but life's gotta go on."
Lea, who had been in a relationship with Cory, 31, for 18 months when he was found dead in his hotel room from a heroin and alcohol overdose in Vancouver last July, recently started dating model Matthew Paetz.
Joe is still mourning his son although he was reportedly estranged from the actor for most of Cory's life following his divorce from the star's mother, Ann McGregor, in 1989.
He said: "I still miss him very much and I still have the empty feeling inside. Cory was a likeable young man and if he was in the room, you'd be smiling. He enjoyed life. That's why I was so shocked about the outcome of everything."

Drake and Chris Brown's new friendship is strictly professional.
The long-time rivals, who have both had on-again, off-again relationships with Rihanna, sparked rumours they had buried the hatchet this week after a photograph of them in a recording studio together appeared on Instagram.
But a source told gossip website TMZ.com that the duo made a business decision to put their differences aside, as they believe they can make millions by teaming up together.
The insider revealed that Drake, 27, has signed on to produce Chris' upcoming album, and is collaborating with him on several tracks.
They believe the album will be a huge hit because fans will want to pick apart the lyrics and compare their vocal abilities.
Another source told HollywoodLife.com: "[Drake] will work with anyone in the biz if he thinks the collab has the potential to be epic."
When asked about the image of them together on Friday (11.07.14), Drake hinted things are still frosty between him and Chris by saying he would "rather not comment."
Tension between the pair erupted into a violent fight in New York City nightclub W.I.P. in 2012, leaving several people injured.
The 'Started From The Bottom' hitmaker also claimed last year that he would never be able to talk to Chris.
During an interview, he said: "I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that's not going to happen."

Sofia Vergara celebrated her birthday with Joe Manganiello on Friday night (11.07.14).
The 'Modern Family' star, who turned 42 on Thursday (10.07.14), enjoyed an intimate dinner party at Nobu Malibu in California with her new boyfriend and a few members of her family.
The brunette beauty's niece Claudia Vergara shared pictures of the group on Instagram, in which the 'True Blood' hunk has his arm around Sofia, with the caption: "Bday @sofiavergara @alejandroasen (sic)."
The actress, who called off her two-year engagement to Nick Loeb in May, was presented with a large cake, decorated with pink roses during the party.
An insider recently revealed the couple are taking their relationship slowly, explaining: "It's very, very new. They're having fun and getting to know each other."
Sofia and Joe, 37, started dating after meeting at the White House Correspondents Dinner two months ago and were first spotted together at Li'L Dizzy's Cafe in Louisiana last Sunday (06.07.14) after spending the weekend celebrating Independence Day.
Joe previously admitted in an interview that he had a huge crush on the Colombian star, saying: "She's got that Latin thing going. She's got the butt, she's got curves, she's got a beautiful face, beautiful hair, just gorgeous and she's feisty."

Ben Foster cries every time he sees a bicycle.
The 33-year-old actor, who is engaged to 'House of Cards' actress Robin Wright, recently finished filming the upcoming untitled Stephen Frears biopic about Lance Armstrong and admits he lost his "f**king marbles" during the "brutal" shoot.
The 'Streetcar' actor told the UK's The Telegraph newspaper: "I break into tears every time I see a bike."
He added: "I lost my f**king marbles on that shoot."
Ben admits the emotional storyline about the disgraced cyclist took more a toll on him than the physical demands of the role, but it also made him realise that the former Tour de France titan isn't a bad person and "enriched" a lot of people's lives.
He said: "The man's story isn't over. I get to go home at night. He's waking up, and he's got his kids and those who have suffered because of him. And those who have been enriched by him. Half a billion dollars raised for cancer research. That's something."
The 'Lone Survivor' star also revealed he hates rehearsing with his co-stars.
He said: "I usually have at least five weeks to prepare but rehearsal is a solo deal for me. I don't like to rehearse, and the filmmakers that I have been drawn to are interested in provoking something between people rather than nailing a scene in advance.
"The luxury of this job is you get to listen to specialists and engage in questioning people you are interested in talking to."

Kim Basinger says she is becoming more courageous as she gets older.
The 60-year-old actress, who has 18-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin with ex-husband Alec Baldwin, claims bringing up a child is "the most dangerous thing" she has ever done and plans to face all of her fears before she dies.
The 'Grudge Match' star told Flaunt magazine: "My personal philosophy is, by the time I leave this planet I would have wanted to face every single thing I'm afraid of in this world. No matter what I have to do, no matter what it entails and how shaky and how undone I become. I think I would not be a completed person if I do not do that. So, bring it on!"
She added: "Well, I've handled snakes and I've jumped out of airplanes but to me things like that - I don't care. I've been in some of the deepest water in the world. I love it. I don't look at anything as dangerous, really. Except as a mom watching a kid - that's danger. But I think, on a personal level, the most dangerous thing I've ever done is really bring up a child and face my own fears. Which, you know, have been many and are becoming less."
But the blonde beauty worries about budding model Ireland being on sites like Instagram and Facebook.
Asked about her thoughts on social media, she said: "How long do we have? Oh, dangerous. Robbing and dangerous. Although I'm infatuated and in love with the information--I'm an information junkie, so I love it. I truly love it, but I think we're teetering on danger.
"I just think there are quite a few negative things about it. It's just troubling. It's troubling, especially since I do have a teenager - I know what I'm talking about. But we'll see where it goes."

Stacy Keibler hasn't "had any cravings" during her pregnancy.
The 34-year-old model, who is expecting her first child, a baby girl, with husband Jared Pobre next month, admits she has been even stricter with her extremely healthy diet in recent months and has even "detoxed" her house.
The 'Supermarket Superstar' host told UsMagazine.com: "I really truly believe that pregnancy is not a time to have an excuse to eat donuts."
She added: "I haven't had any cravings believe it or not!
"[Pregnancy] is a time to be as healthy as you can be and build the foundation for your baby. I think that you should be even more conscious of what you're doing."
The blonde beauty occasionally "might have a pizza party once in a while," but usually sticks to an organic diet.
She said: "Everything I eat or put on my skin is organic. I only use organic products. Everything I put on my skin, basically I can eat."
Stacy "can't wait" to meet her daughter and says she's had "the best year of my life."
She explained: "I'm so grateful for my life, my husband, the new baby on the way. Life is all about timing and everything happens for a reason. I literally wake up every day and say how grateful I am."
She added: "We just cannot wait to meet her. I feel like we have such a connection already. I feel like we intuitively talk to each other, and so I just can't wait to actually meet her."

Tracy Morgan is suing Wal-Mart.
The former '30 Rock' star, who sustained a number of injuries, including a broken femur, broken nose and broken ribs, when a Walmart truck crashed into the limo bus he was travelling in on the New Jersey Turnpike last month, filed a lawsuit against the US retail giant on Thursday (10.07.14), claiming the company is responsible because the truck driver Kevin Roper was allegedly fatigued when the accident occurred and that "Walmart knew or should have known" that he had been "awake for more than 24 consecutive hours."
Court documents, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, state: "Wal-Mart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries.
"As a direct and proximate result of said collision, Mr. Morgan was caused to sustain severe painful bodily injuries, including but not limited to multiple fractures which required multiple surgeries, extensive medical treatment and will require significant physical rehabilitation."
Wal-Mart issued a statement saying it is "committed to doing the right thing for all involved."
The 45-year-old actor, who spent 10 days in a critical condition in hospital, was transferred to a rehab facility on June 20, but still "has a long way to go" before he fully recovers from the six-vehicle accident, which also killed his comedy writer friend James McNair.
Tracy's assistant, Jeffrey Millea, his wife Krista Millea and comedian Ardie Fuqua are also suing for negligence, and Krista is suing for loss of consortium.
The group are seeking compensatory and statutory damages, punitive damages, legal fees, as well as pre- and post judgment interest at a trial by jury.

Gillian Anderson says her career suffered after she moved to England.
The 45-year-old actress admits she was offered less film roles when she went to live in London in 2002, but is glad she decided to stay there to raise her sons, Oscar, seven, and Felix, five, with ex-boyfriend Mark Griffiths.
She told the UK's The Telegraph newspaper: "I am so devoted to this city and my little ones are British. I can't imagine being anywhere else so I work with that."
The 'The Fall' star, who also has a 20-year-old daughter Piper from her first marriage to Clyde Klotz, insists she is satisfied with her career, but still hopes to pursue more roles on the big screen as her sons get older.
She said: "With 'The Fall' and 'Streetcar' I feel that if I died in September then I could look down from up there feeling I had accomplished what I wanted to accomplish.
"But on the other hand, I don't feel like I have even begun. That is mostly because I just love film. I love the medium and there are so many directors I haven't worked with and experiences that I have not had."
The former 'The X-Files' star is co-writing a sci-fi novel with Jeff Rovin, which she hopes to turn into a film and play the lead, but admits she worries about getting older in Hollywood.
She said: "I have been putting my responsibilities as a mother first and as my children get older at some point I can pursue it in a different way than I have been, probably when nobody wants to hire me because... I will be 50. So then nobody will want to make my novel unless the lead is actually 33 and they'll hire a 12-year-old to play her."

Sharon Stone claims she hasn't worked out in months.
The 56-year-old actress stopped going to the gym earlier this year because she "didn't feel like it," but admits she still feels under pressure to look good in a bikini while on holiday and worries about cellulite.
The 'Basic Instinct' star told E! News: "I haven't worked out in a couple of months because I just didn't feel like it.
"But now I'm going on vacation and I know what they're going to do--[magazines] are going to put a circle around my a** and do one of those crazy magnified pictures saying, 'What happened to her a••? It's a bag of cheese.' I would just like to say it's a fine triple crème Brie!"
She jokingly added: "Right when they zoom in I should have a tattoo on my a** that says, 'You wish you could get a bite of this.' "
The blonde beauty recently revealed she is "available for dating" again after deciding to remain single when her sons, Roan, 13, Laird, eight, and Quinn, seven, "were little."
She said: "What's happened is my kids have reached the age where I feel comfortable to date.
"I didn't want to date when they were little. Who needs a bunch of people running in and out of their lives?
"Now I feel comfortable dating ... I am available for dating."
