Brad Pitt poked fun at Rihanna and Jay Z at the Diamond Ball last night (11.12.14).
The 'Moneyball' actor introduced the 'We Found Love' singer's performance at her charity bash in Beverly Hills with a mocking speech about "what the f**k went wrong" for the 26-year-old star.
An old photo of Rihanna appeared on a big screen as Brad said: "I've often asked the very questions you yourself are asking right now - what the f**k went wrong?
"I give you exhibit A. Look at the young girl before you, all full of hopes and dreams, living a humble existence in Barbados, her whole life ahead of her."
He then recalled how Rihanna moved to New York when she was just 16 years old but "soon fell in with a bad crowd led by the dubious and nefarious character known as The Jay Z."
He added to laughter from the audience: "For those you not in the know, The Jay Z was an evil impresario known for turning out hit records and ripping insane lyrics and fresh beats.
"Needless to say it was all downhill from there."
The 50-year-old star went on to list Rihanna's accomplishments, award wins and record sales but pleaded with the crowd to stage an intervention as an altered image of the 'Diamonds' hitmaker overweight and eating a sandwich appeared on the screen.
He said: "I ask that we stand together by her side and show her our support and our love and say to her the hard words, 'Rihanna put down that sandwich, get off your ass and do something. God damn it, just do something with your life.' "
Rihanna then stepped out onto the stage and performed her medley of hits backed by a live orchestra for the guests, which included Lewis Hamilton, Kim Kardashian West and Kris Jenner.
Jimmy Kimmel hosted the event, which raised money for Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation.
A live auction saw Salma Hayek pay $190,000 for a piece of Damien Hirst's artwork, while four VIP tickets to an upcoming Kanye West show went for $74,000.

'The Expendables 3' cast still do their own stunts.
The action movie is filled with iconic stars of the screen including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Harrison Ford, and despite heading into their twilight years, the actors insist they are still more than capable of performing dangerous stunts when filming.
Dolph Lundgren - who plays Gunner Jensen in the movie - said: "We really can do this stuff."
The 57-year-old actor attributed their ability to pull off the risky scenes to their grounding in sport and fitness as youngsters, identifying the strengths of the many cast members in the movie series.
He explained: "I was a karate champion. Jason [Statham] was an Olympic diver. Stallone has done a lot of training. Arnold, of course, was Mr. Universe. Terry Crews played pro football. We got the MMA champ, Randy Couture, not to mention the new people. We have a lot of people with real skills."
The star - who rose to fame after appearing as Drago in the 1985 movie 'Rocky IV' - insisted it was important for the cast to do as much of the filming as possible in order to create a believable movie.
He added: "When Terry picks up a hundred-pound Gatling gun with one hand, that's him doing it and I think that adds a certain reality to the whole experience."
'The Expendables 3' is available on DVD now.

Beyonce wishes she was anonymous.
The 33-year-old superstar - who has two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay Z - admits she sometimes finds her fame difficult because there are so many ordinary experiences that she has to miss out on.
She said: "Before I was famous I was the girl on the hill with a guitar. I was the girl that just wanted a beautiful view of the beach. Now that I'm famous it's really, really difficult to do very simple things.
"I think it's the hardest thing to give up, but my mother always taught me to be strong and to never be a victim, never make excuses, never expect anyone else to provide me things that I know I can provide for myself.
"I have dreams and I feel like I have a power to actually make those dreams become a reality. When you're famous, no one looks at you as a human anymore. You become property of the public. There's nothing real about it."
Elsewhere in a short film entitled 'Yours and Mine', the '7/11' singer spoke about how "exciting" she finds being married and having someone to share her life with.
She said: "People feel like they lose something when they get married, but it doesn't have to be that way. There's nothing more exciting about having a witness to your life...
"You know, everyone's not good at everything. You know? It's OK to depend on someone. It's actually what we're supposed to do - we're supposed to depend on each other. And when you find the person that you trust and you love and you feel is going to respect you and take all the s**t that you have and turn it around and bring out the best in you, it feeds you. It is the most powerful thing you can ever feel in your life.
"Happiness comes from you. No one else can make you happy. You make you happy. And one thing that's for sure: The love I have for the music, my husband, for my child--it's something that will last far beyond my life."

Ashton Kutcher thinks having a baby is like getting a new phone.
The 36-year-old actor and fiancee Mila Kunis welcomed daughter Wyatt into the world 10 weeks ago and the 'Two and a Half Men' star joked caring for a newborn was a similar experience to receiving a new communications device that doesn't have all its features correctly set up yet.
He said: "It won't take pictures and you're like, 'Why won't my phone take pictures?'' and it won't make calls and it doesn't do a lot, but it looks really cute."
Ashton is in awe of his baby girl and says she is learning things quickly.
He added: "She found herself in the mirror and realised she was able to control the thing in the mirror, which was pretty cool."
As well as praising Wyatt, Ashton - who was previously married to Demi Moore - also gushed about 31-year-old Mila, hailing the 'Black Swan' star as the "greatest mom" for how well she copes while he is at work.
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres in an interview airing today (12.12.14), he said: "But the most amazing thing about having a baby is my partner, Mila. She's the greatest mom.
"I go to work every day and I come home and she's like perfect. And it just seems like everything went amazing and I know that something probably didn't go amazing, but she never complains."
The couple are hands-on parents and decided against hiring a nanny because they want to "know" their daughter better than anyone else.
The 'Jobs' star explained: "We just want to know our kid. We want to be the people that know what to do when the baby's crying to make the baby not cry anymore.
"I think the only way to do that is by being the one who's there."

Mark Wahlberg ate "until he was sick" after coming off a strict diet.
The 43-year-old actor lost a staggering 60lbs for his role in 'The Gambler' and after spending so long consuming mainly liquids, he was determined his first proper meal after filming would be perfect.
He said: "The first thing I ate was a huge pancake, eggs over easy, English muffins, home fries, bacon, sausage."You know, you wait for it so long, and this English muffin, when it came it wasn't brown enough. Normally, I'm not like a take-it-back kind of guy but I said, 'You have to make this golden brown. I want the nooks and the crannies, I want the butter dripping off.' I ate until I was sick."
Mark recently applied for a pardon over a 1988 assault conviction - which saw him serve 45 days in jail - and says he did so in a bid to put the past behind him.
The 'Ted' actor - who has children Ella, 11, Michael, eight, Brendan, six, and Grace, four, with wife Rhea Durham - told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "I've been spending the last 27 years trying to correct the mistakes that I made and trying to be the best person I could be, the best father I could be, and that's why [I applied for a pardon].
"I want to hopefully put those days behind me and correct the mistakes that I've made."

Keith Urban found the death of his father-in-law "huge".
The 'American Idol' judge and his wife Nicole Kidman - with who he has daughters Sunday, six, and Faith, three - were left devastated in August when Dr. Antony Kidman passed away suddenly and the country crooner admits he has found it hard without the beloved family member.
He said: "The loss of Nic's dad was huge. I can't even describe what that moment was like for our family. I was very, very close to Nic's dad."
Antony's death caused Keith to miss shooting 'American Idol' auditions in New York and he was very grateful to have such "amazing" support, both from the staff on the show and his fans.
He told reporters on a conference call: "Adam Lambert stepped up and filled in for me. It was an amazing thing to see that support. I am very grateful, and I don't take those things for granted. You would think people would have a heart.
"When I saw it in action with all of the network at FOX and all of the people involved with 'Idol', and then of course my fan base, it was an extraordinary thing."

Whoopi Goldberg insists she didn't fart on 'The View'.
The 59-year-old star appeared to let rip on the US talk show on Wednesday (10.12.14) during a 'Hot Topics' debate in which singer Ashanti was discussing whether or not she thinks people should get a flu jab but insists the audible noise that disrupted the debate was an unusual sound effect that she quickly made a joke about.
She said: "There was a sound effect that we had never heard before. I'm thinking, 'Damn, that's weird, what can I do?' Oh, I know! I'm gonna pretend I let a little something go. As a joke.
""Now, these folks are emailing people, running up on people saying, 'How do you feel about the fart that Whoopi did on 'The View'?' It's a joke!
"I know you think that I don't [make jokes] any more, I do, I make funnies. I don't fart on air for real!"
Whoopi was previously reported to have broke wind while sitting on a sofa with 'Homeland' star Claire Danes and fellow host Joy Behar in 2011 and though her co-star appeared offended by a putrid pong, the actress insists that too was a joke.
On the show yesterday (11.12.14), she added: This is the second time I've covered something like this because sometimes I hear something and I think, 'Oh, we got to do something to get attention from it,' and so I try to move it and that's the fastest 'cause the fart joke works [instantly] like that.
"So everybody relax, I didn't fart on air, it was a joke."
The mysterious farting incident this week happened after a camera was firmly focused on Ashanti when a sudden explosion of air could be heard.
Whoopi then sat in her seat looking sheepish and embarrassingly said: "Excuse me! Oooh, oooh."
The panel and studio audience erupted into a gale of laughter and Whoopi then stood up, put her hand in the air and said: "Hold on for a minute."
Whoopi's fellow panellist Rosie O'Donnell then walked around the desk and started to jokingly wave her hands up and down in a desperate attempt to rid the studio of Whoopi's whiffy wind.
The other panellists joined in by picking up pieces of paper on their desks and frantically waving them up and down to try to exterminate Goldberg's gas.
Whoopi then declared: "Oh, I feel so much better now!"

Jessica Alba doesn't "care" about fame.
The 33-year-old actress - who also runs her own eco-friendly business The Honest Company - admits she wouldn't mind if her celebrity status was ripped away from her one day because she believes she transformed into the person she's meant to be when she became a mother six years ago.
She explained: "Living in LA, everyone likes to mould you and change you. I don't care about fame, I don't care about being a celebrity.
"I know that's part of the job but I don't feed into anyone's ideas of who I should be."
She added to Australia's OK! Magazine: "When I became a mum, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been."
The 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' star is even trying to steer her daughters Honor, six, and Haven, three - with whom she has with her husband of six years, Cash Warren - away from the acting industry but is convinced they'll both go on to have wonderful careers.
She explained: "Every day [Honor and Haven are] just getting taller and sometimes more sassy. I don't think either of them are going to be actresses, if I can help it.
"Maybe Haven will be a filmmaker because she's more creative. I feel like Honor can have more of the business sensibility."

Emma Watson has split from her boyfriend.
The 'Noah' actress and Oxford University student Matthew Janney, 22, went their separate ways a month ago but have agreed to remain friends.
It is believed the couple split after a year of dating because of the 24-year-old beauty's hectic work schedule.
A spokesperson for Emma confirmed the "amicable" split to the Daily Mail newspaper.
The news comes a few months after the 'Harry Potter' star was seen moving out of her London home with the help of the rugby player, sparking speculation they were moving in together.
The pair were assisted by professional movers and as they loaded her furniture, including rugs, cooking pots and chairs, into a moving truck.
An eyewitness said at the time: "The couple was very affectionate as they moved items. At one point Matthew wrapped his arms around Emma and kissed her."
The brunette beauty previously admitted she prefers to date regular guys rather than fellow actors and tries her best to "protect" them as she believes its "unfair" for them to be forced into the public eye.
She recently said: "I don't date people who are famous.
"I don't think it's fair that, all of a sudden, intimate details of their personal life are public as a direct result of me. I wish I could protect them."
