Girls Aloud announce Tangled Up deluxe reissue with unheard tracks and new mixes

Girls Aloud have confirmed a deluxe reissue of their 2007 album Tangled Up, with the new edition set to arrive on August 21.

The expanded release brings fresh material from the vaults, including two previously unheard tracks titled What’s A Girl To Do and My Heart, alongside an alternative mix of fan favourite Girl Overboard, which has already landed on streaming.

The reissue also marks the first time the group’s chart‑topping Comic Relief single Walk This Way – their 2007 collaboration with Sugababes – will appear on a Girls Aloud album.

Announcing the project on social media, the group said: “We are so excited to announce the Tangled Up deluxe reissue, which will be yours on the 21st August. The reissue includes previously unreleased songs from the vault, alternative unheard versions of tracks from the album and SO much more. The album is available to pre-order now on coloured vinyl, picture disc and in a 3CD set.”

The Top 5 record spawned the hits Sexy! No No No… , Call The Shots and Can’t Speak French.

The reissue follows the group’s hugely successful 2025 reunion tour, which saw Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts return to the stage as a quartet in honour of their late bandmate Sarah Harding. The tour drew 300,000 fans across 30 shows, celebrating Sarah’s legacy and the group’s two decades of hits.

Meanwhile, Nadine recently spoke about two unexplained moments that took place the day after Sarah died.

The Irish vocalist said she had been unable to leave the Dublin venue she was at when the first moment occurred.

Speaking on Olivia’s House with Olivia Attwood, she recalled: “So she had just passed away the day before. I was doing a show in Dublin that I couldn’t leave and we were all sitting there and I have multiple witnesses. And all of a sudden, we were talking about her and literally the headphones jumped off and landed on the floor.”

The Sound of the Underground singer said the fact it happened again led her to believe it had to be Sarah.

She continued: “That was the first time we were like, ‘oh my God, there must be some sort of like weird something going on’.

“When it happened again by this point, because it was in the hair and makeup room, everybody just kind of jumped back and we’re like, ‘wow what is going on?’”

Nadine said the moment felt “powerful”, adding: “I was like, ‘are you a really powerful soul? You’ve just got there. Like are you like running things up there already? You’re able to move headphones? What’s next?’”

Asked whether she believes in the supernatural, the Love Machine singer said she has always been open to the idea.

She said: “I’ve always believed.

“I would always ask like, ‘I don’t want to see any ghosts’. Like when you think of ghosts, you think like pirates and stuff… I’m like, ‘don’t show up, I believe but I don’t want to see, but that was great to see.’”
