Mariah Carey wants a happy family

Mariah Carey is still devastated over her split from Nick Cannon.
The 44-year-old singer, who separated from the 'America's Got Talent' host over the summer after six years of marriage, is reportedly suffering from severe insomnia because she's a "mess."
A source close to the '#Beautiful' hitmaker, who has three-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with Nick, is frustrated that she no longer has the happy family unit she wants and "can't sleep."
The couple have yet to file for divorce and friends believe Mariah is eager for a reconciliation.
The insider told Us Weekly magazine that she isn't ready to "give up the idea of a happy family."
The 'Hero' hitmaker broke down in tears while performing at the Beacon Theatre in New York City last week.
Nick recently insisted he and the blonde beauty would always be family despite reports their split was getting contentious.
Asked about their plans for Christmas, he said: "Always focus on family. We'll forever be family.
"At the same time, we're there for our children, making them the No. 1 priority and understanding they're loved and can have an amazing holiday."

George Clooney is celebrating Christmas in Mexico

George and Amal Clooney are spending Christmas with Cindy Crawford's family.
The couple, who got married in Venice, Italy in September, are celebrating their first holiday season as husband and wife in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with the supermodel and her husband, Rande Gerber, as well as their children, Kaia, 13, and Presley, 13.
The Oscar winner, 53, and the British human rights lawyer, 36, were spotted enjoying a beach-side snack with their close friends on Monday (22.12.14).
An insider told UsMagazine.com that they own side-by-side villas in the region, which were designed by by the architecture firm Legorreta + Legorreta.
As well as being close pals with Cindy, 48, George also runs the Casamigos Tequila company with Rande, 52, and shortly after the actor's nuptials, Rande gushed about how "perfect" Amal was for his friend.
He said: "She's really perfect for him. She's smart and she's beautiful, engaging."
The entrepreneur also predicted they would do "some incredible things" together.
He said: "I've been friends with George probably half my life. And it's just great that he found someone."
News of their sun-soaked holiday comes as a surprise as it was previously reported that 'Monuments Men' star was looking forward to experiencing his first British Christmas with Amal at their new home in Sonning Eye, Oxfordshire, central England.

Amy Adams shocked after being axed from US TV show

Amy Adams "was shocked and upset" after being axed from a US TV show.
The 'Big Eyes' actress was scheduled to appear on the 'Today' show, but producers decided to cancel the interview because she refused to discuss the recent Sony hack.
A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "Amy said she didn't want to contribute to the media coverage of it...then she was abruptly told that her interview with 'Today' was cancelled."
In a statement, a spokesperson for the show explained: "As a news program, the 'Today' show doesn't allow guests to put restrictions on interviews. In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview. "
Earlier this month, controversial email exchanges between Sony executives and celebrities, including Amy, were made public by hackers, who successfully managed to block to release of Seth Rogen's movie 'The Interview,' which is about an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
A chain of emails revealed the 'American Hustle' actress, 40, and Jennifer Lawrence were paid less than their male co-stars Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Christian Bale for their Oscar-nominated roles in the movie.

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton split

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton have split.
The couple, who have two children, Billy, 11, and Nell, seven, have announced they "separated amicably earlier this year" after 13 years together.
A spokesperson for the 48-year-old actress told PEOPLE.com: "[Helena and Tim] separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children.
"We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time."
The duo started dating after Tim, 56, directed Helena in 'Planet of the Apes' in 2001 and had a famously unconventional relationship, living in two neighbouring houses joined by a communal room.
News of their split comes more than a year after the British director was photographed canoodling with another woman after a cinema date in Hampstead, London in September 2013.
But Helena rubbished allegations he had been unfaithful at the time, saying: "This is absolute nonsense. The pictures were taken whilst they were out and the large group includes family, friends and work colleagues."
Although they frequently worked together, Tim previously admitted they often had a turbulent relationship on set, especially during the making of 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' in 2007.
He said: "We've survived [as a couple], but it hasn't always been easy. 'Sweeney Todd' was the worst; definitely the worst. But then I found out she was pregnant with Nell and it kind of all made sense."

Elizabeth Hurley’s menu worries

Elizabeth Hurley is worried about what to feed her Christmas guests.
The 'Bedazzled' actress - who has a 12-year-old son, Damian, from a previous relationship - will be entertaining loved ones for a week over the festive period and though the big day is now just two days away, she is still not entirely organised.
She tweeted last night (21.12.14): "The calm before the storm: sitting in front of fire with large drink, trying to come up with menus to feed the hordes over the next week."
It seems the 49-year-old star isn't always very organised as she also had a problem before she could write her Christmas cards.
She posted earlier this month: "Settling in to write my Christmas cards. The annual search for my fountain pen begins...."
Elizabeth is clearly a big fan of the festive season and has undertaken a number of Christmassy activities over the last few weeks, including attending a carol service at her son's school, watching 'The Snowman' on TV, visiting baby reindeer at a local garden centre and watching a pantomime.
Posting a picture of herself with the production's stars Matthew Kelly, Linda Grey and Wayne Sleep, she tweeted last week: "What a fabulous pantomime! Backstage with Linda Gray, Wayne Sleep, Matthew Kelly at Wimbledon Theatre #Cinderella
"What a treat to meet Linda Gray- still gorgeous and a wonderful Fairy Godmother
"Brilliant father & son Ugly Sisters- Matthew Kelly and Matthew Rickson.(sic)"

Lupita Nyong’o pens poem for fans

Lupita Nyong'o has thanked her fans with a poem.
The '12 Years a Slave' actress posted a verse on Instagram in which she expressed how much she has enjoyed 2014 and the many accolades - including a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award and being named People's Most Beautiful and Glamour's Woman of the Year - she has received over the last 12 months.
Alongside a picture of a patchwork quilt and the words 'Happy Holidays', she wrote to her million followers: "This year was one of a kind and a kind one to me.
"There was lots to be done and a whole lot to see.
"I had family and friends and colleagues galore.
"Now I have fans, plus a million and four!"
The 31-year-old beauty went on to thank fans for their social media posts and reassure them she cares though she doesn't have time to reply to their messages.
She continued: " Though I don't answer 'cause time is a-tickin', know that you matter by the posts that I'm pickin'.
"I keep posting 'cause I know that you care, and I care to post
when I know that you're there."
After wishing her fans "peace, love, joy, laughter beams" for the coming year, Lupita concluded her verse with a quote from Doctor Seuss.
She wrote: "If things start happening, don't worry, don't stew, just go right along and you'll start happening too."

Emily Blunt: Frozen triggered labour

Emily Blunt thinks 'Frozen' triggered her labour.
The 'Into the Woods' actress - who has 10-month-old daughter Hazel with husband John Krasinski - saw the Disney blockbuster in the cinema with her spouse and welcomed her little girl into the world less than 24 hours later.
She said: "I saw 'Frozen' the day before I had my daughter. Isn't that crazy? There was nothing on and I was like, 'Do you think this will be good?,' and John indulged me and we went to see it."
Discussing the film's theme song, 'Let It Go', Emily quipped: "I was like, 'I'm about to. I'm literally about to let it go.' "
The 31-year-old beauty shot 'Into the Woods' while she was pregnant and says filming came at the perfect time for her.
She told E! News: "I was done with the first three months by the time we started shooting.
"I was in the fun time where you're kind of elated and energetic and then I wrapped right before the not-so-fun time where you're sort of enormous and you can't sleep and you pee every 10 minutes."
'Into the Woods' is described as a "dark" tale and Emily thinks it is wrong that some schools only allow the first half of the show - which is more cheerful - to be performed.
She said: "Isn't that wrong? It's not right. Look at all the Disney movies -- Dumbo's mother is chained up and tormented and then Bambi loses his mother and 'The Lion King' when his father gets trampled. I remember being very upset by that, but kids understand.
"This is what these fairy tales are. They're cautionary tales. They're warnings, but also advice to them to say with honesty, 'You're going to have some knocks and they're going be the making of you. But just be careful.' "

Robin Williams helped co-star get prom date

Robin Williams helped a young co-star secure a prom date.
The late actor - who was found hanged in August - agreed to appear in a video for Skyler Gisondo along with their other 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb' co-star Ben Stiller because the high school senior was away from home and unable to ask a girl out in the conventional way.
Skyler - who plays Ben's son in the movie - said: "All morning, Robin was pitching more ideas. He was saying 'Can I say this? Would it be appropriate to say this?' You're Robin Williams. You can say whatever you want!
"It turned into this three-minute, ridiculous thing. A prom-posal. I realised that was the most awesome three minutes of my life and I've accepted it will go downhill from there."
In the video, Robin makes a direct appeal on behalf of Skyler, saying: "Yo, Hillary, will you go to the prom with my man, Sky-ler?"
Ben then jokes: "He's a good guy, a great kisser. I don't know that personally, but I've seen. Just that time with the monkey. It was for a scene, but it seemed like you had a connection."
The gentle mocking is then interrupted by a monkey carrying a rose, prompting Robin to quip: "A monkey and a rose. That's so Freudian."
Skyler adored working with Robin on the film and will always treasure the "special" experience.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "Robin was this bottomless reservoir of kindness and hilarity.
"It was just so special to work so closely with this guy who's movies I've grown up with and watch his preparedness and his kindness."

David Beckham’s traditional British Christmas

David Beckham loves a traditional British Christmas.
The 39-year-old former professional footballer - who has Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old Harper with his wife, Victoria Beckham - has revealed that the festive period is "incredibly special" for the whole family.
He said: "I have always loved Christmas. It's always been an incredibly special time for me and the family."
Discussing all his favourite festive traditions including his favourite TV shows - which he downloads from iTunes - he added: "I love all the traditions associated with Christmas - the old movies, Queen's speech, songs, turkey dinner with all the trimmings, TV programmes like 'Only Fools and Horses' and much more. Now it's all about the children and making sure they have a special time."
David has previously lived out of his home country of England - in both Los Angeles and Madrid - but admitted that he would always insist that Victoria, the kids and himself come back to the United Kingdom to celebrate the seasonal holiday because of the unique way England does Christmas.
He explained: "Even when we were in LA or Madrid, we would always come back to UK to spend Christmas here.
"This country comes alive during this time and this period is about sharing with loved ones."
