Katie Holmes’ monkey treat

Katie Holmes treats her daughter Suri Cruise to monkey bread on Christmas morning.
The 35-year-old actress loves to indulge in the calorific treat with her eight year old - her only child with ex-husband Tom Cruise - but admits they will only have it once a year, on Christmas Day (25.12.14), because there is so much of the sweet treat that it seems as though it is "never-ending".
She said: "On Christmas morning, we eat monkey bread - frozen bread dough with butter and brown sugar, which you put in the oven until it's all gooey and sticky.
"One piece is never-ending, which is why you can only have it once a year."
As well as her love of the gooey sweet treat, Katie admitted she also enjoys spending some quality time with her friends and family over the festive period and loves to make sure her Christmas time goes off with a bang courtesy of some fireworks.
When asked what excites her, the raven-haired beauty - who is expected to spend Christmas Day with Tom - replied: "Fireworks - I love them. Being with friends and family. Having big dinners. And Christmas - of course!"

Kim Kardashian West buys North £35k dolls house

Kim Kardashian West has bought her daughter a £35,000 dolls' house for Christmas.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star and her husband Kanye West have splurged on the lavish gift, and other presents such as a personalised designer leather jacket, for 17-month-old North to have a memorable festive season.
A source said: "Kim's bought North a dolls' house worth £35k - it comes with a marble bathroom with NW encrusted in gold on the bathtub.
"She's also splashed out on a Dolce & Gabbana leather jacket with 'North' etched in Swarovski crystals. Kim doesn't see any harm in spoiling her rotten."
North won't be the only member of the family to be spoiled on Christmas Day, as it was recently revealed Kanye splurged $7,000 on an Yves Salomon fox fur jacket for his wife.
Meanwhile, Kim, 34, has reportedly set her heart on commissioning an "artistic" sculpture of her bottom as a present for the 37-year-old rapper.
The brunette beauty - who recently posed nude for Paper magazine - has reportedly paid over $20,000 for a Silicon replica of her behind.
A source recently revealed: "The replica was her idea for a gift, she thinks it's artistic and knew Kanye would love it.
"It means he'll always have a piece of her, albeit her bum, if Kim's away working."

Bryan Ferry’s son ‘critical but stable’ after crash

Bryan Ferry's youngest son is in a "critical but stable" condition in hospital following his head-on car crash on Monday (22.12.14).
Merlin Ferry, 24, was involved in a horrific three-vehicle collision in Shropshire, central England, which left him with a head injury and multiple fractures to his legs, pelvis and left arm, and his Volvo car looking like a "mangled box of tin".
A spokesman for Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, central England, where Merlin is being treated in the critical care unit after having a life-saving operation, said: "He is critical but stable."
Bryan is said to be at his son's bedside and several stars have contacted his family after news of the accident broke, including US musician Nile Rodgers who asked the 69-year-old singer/songwriter's eldest son, Otis, 32, for information.
He wrote on Twitter: "Please let me know any news when you can about Merlin."
Otis replied: "of course I will, but Twitter is not something I use much, and everything ends up in a newspaper. Best to give Dad a call (sic)"
Songwriter Guy Fletcher also tweeted: "our thoughts are with your family Otis. Praying for Merlin. (sic)"
Firefighters spent more than 45 minutes trying to get the 69-year-old musician's son out of the wreckage which left his silver Volvo car unidentifiable, and Otis took to his Instagram page to reveal what happened.
He wrote: "He had a head-on collision, has lots of broken bones and is having an operation on his heart as we speak.
"He was conscious before he went into theatre and his biggest concern was that he had missed Christmas! He is in the best possible hospital for this type of procedure. (sic)"
Otis later took to his Twitter account to thank Wellington Fire Service for getting his brother out of the wreckage.
He wrote: "thank you for extracting my Brother alive from what looks like a mangled box of tin. We are all continuing to pray (sic)"
One of the other drivers is said to have escaped the crash with minor injuries, and the third motorist was not injured.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "The driver, who was estimated to be about 30 years old had suffered multiple fractures to his legs, pelvis, left arm and had a head injury. Working with firefighters, ambulance staff very carefully freed him.
"He was assessed at the scene and had splints put in place along with advanced pain relief before being taken on blue lights to the Major Trauma Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The trauma doctor travelled with the patient."
Bryan also has two other children, Isaac and Tara, and divorced their mother Lucy in 2003 after 21 years of marriage.

Gwen Stefani plans British Christmas

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale will spend Christmas in London.
The Bush rocker, who has three sons, Kingston, eight, Zuma, six, and Apollo, nine months, with the 'Baby Don't Lie' hitmaker, is excited to fly to his native UK to spend the festive season with his extended family.
The 49-year-old star said: "We'll spend Christmas with my side of the family. I'm excited."
The couple, who got married in 2002, usually divide their time between LA and London, but have spent more time in the US this year so Gwen can focus on her judging role on 'The Voice'.
The British musician, who also has daughter Daisy Lowe, 25, from a previous relationship, jumped at the chance to collaborate with the No Doubt beauty, 45, when be she asked him to her advisor on the series.
He said: "It was fun to leave for work together, then come home and talk shop. But I only give feedback when she asks me to."
Gavin is very proud of how well his wife has done on the series.
He said: "She's incredible on the show."

Katie Price won’t buy gifts for Bunny

Katie Price hasn't bought her youngest daughter any Christmas presents.
The former glamour model - who has kids Harvey, 12, Princess, nine, and Junior, seven, from previous relationships and 16-month-old Jett and four-month-old Bunny with husband Kieran Hayler - knows her baby won't understand the festive celebrations so has decided to wait to buy her gifts when she is older.
She said: "Bunny won't be getting any presents. They don't know may that age anyhow."
While Harvey - who is partially blind and suffers from autism and ADHD - is easy to please, Katie admits Princess and Junior want expensive Christmas gifts.
She said: "Princess and Junior have outgrown toys and they're into iPads and expensive items.
"They have iPads and now they want iPad minis. I don't understand why the y want a smaller screen, surely it's better to have a bigger one.
"Harvey is easy, he just likes A3 paper and crayons and anything to do with frogs.
"Jett is so advanced he's not really into toys. He's into my iPhone and he knows how to use it."
The 36-year-old beauty admits she is being more restrained in her gift-giving this year than at previous Christmases.
She said: "I used to go mad and it got to a point where the kids would be bored of opening them as they'd still be opening them days later, so I'm not going to do that this year, it's a waste."

Rafe Spall’s confusing Christmas Eve dinner

Rafe Spall grew up eating his Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve.
The 31-year-old actor, who stars in 'Get Santa' alongside Jim Broadbent and Warwick Davis, has revealed his family never followed tradition when it came to their festive feast - and it's confused his plans ever since.
Reflecting on his Christmas experiences, Rafe told BANG Showbiz: "I grew up eating Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, so by the time it would come to Boxing Day ... I don't really know what we did. Oh yeah, we'd go to my uncle Nick's who lives in Margate.
"But since I've had my own children - gosh, what do we do? Boxing Day has lost its mystique, it's lost its special thing - because of ruining it because of the Christmas Eve dinner.
"So, I don't really know what to say. Apart from the fact that in New York, there's no such thing as Boxing Day. In America, they don't know the word Boxing Day. I was there last year. The just call it, simply, the day after Christmas."
Rafe - who has daughter Lena, three, and two-year-old son Rex with his wife Elize du Toit - also admitted he leaves out treats for Santa and his reindeer every year.
He said: "We leave out a mince pie, which by Christmas morning is half-eaten, a carrot and some Guinness. He loves Guinness!"

Rita Ora wants Christmas canine

Rita Ora wants a dog for Christmas.
The 23-year-old singer is desperate for a pet of her own but is also keen for someone to pay for the chance for her to learn a new skill.
Asked what she wants for Christmas, she said: "I really want a dog, so let's see who listens to that. And I would really like to know how to set flowers, like go to a flower-arranging class."
And the 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker is excited about taking time off work and spending the festive season with her family.
She said: "I can finally buy my parents something that they've always wanted.
"I can't wait to go home - I've missed them so much and I'm never home.
"I'm from Albania, so for us it's just an excuse for all the family to get together. And, for me, I take it really seriously because it's the one day I have to just wake up and not put make-up on and eat what I like.
"You can do whatever you want for the day. We have dinners, talk a lot of nonsense, act foolish and drink a lot of wine."

Mel C driving home for Christmas

Mel C is having a family Christmas in Liverpool.
The former Spice Girls star finds it "relaxing" being out of London over the festive season and is looking forward to herself and five-year-old daughter Scarlet - whose father is her former boyfriend Thomas Starr - enjoying quality time with their extended family in her hometown in North West England.
She said: "I'm taking my little girl to Liverpool for a family Christmas, which will be great as we'll get to see everyone. It's more relaxed up there - we can just chill out."
As well as looking forward to the festive season, Mel, 40, is also excited about the day her former bandmate Emma Bunton finally marries fiancé Jade Jones.
She admitted: "I don't think they've fixed a date yet. She just wants a rock on her finger! No, she and Jade are such a lovely couple, they're a beautiful family and really strong, so it'll be a big ol' ding-dong when they do it."
And Mel joked that if the couple - who got engaged in 2011 after 13 years together - have herself and the other Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Geri Halliwell, as bridesmaids, they should make them wear "hideous" outfits.
She laughed: "She should make us look as hideous as possible - I'm so down for that."

James Corden to be honoured with OBE

James Corden will be awarded an OBE.
The 36-year-old comedian and TV presenter will be given the title of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in Britain's Queen Elizabeth II's New Year Honours list for his services to the entertainment and charity industries, with the 88-year-old royal reportedly "delighted" to hand him the award.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "James Corden is a huge young talent on many different fronts.
"His charitable work is also very impressive, making him a fantastic ambassador for the nation."
British actress, Joan Collins, 81 - who already has an OBE - is also expected to be made a dame.
Meanwhile, James - who will take over from Craig Ferguson as the host of 'The Late Late Show' next March - is worried about making his talk show debut in the US.
He joked: "Why wouldn't I be? I'm from High Wycombe.
"What are the chances of a chubby guy - and I'm being generous - going to America and hosting a talk show every night being anything other than a complete mistake?"
James - who has presented in the past, including comedy sports quiz show 'A League of Their Own' - has already warned the show's producers that giving him the job is a risk.
He explained: "It's so funny. They called the other day and wanted me to cut together a sizzle reel for the show of great moments in my career that they could play to sponsors.
"So we sent it to them. They said, 'It's great but have you got any stuff of you just interviewing someone?' And we were like, 'No! That's our point. It doesn't exist - you're taking a huge risk!'"
The full New Year Honours list will be published on December 31.
