Justin Bieber is happy to be considered a sex symbol.
The 20-year-old singer admits modelling for Calvin Klein has always been his dream and he hopes his adverts become iconic like Mark Wahlberg's in the '90s.
He said: "I don't know if I'm a sex symbol or what that even means. But if I am one, fine by me!"
The 'Baby' hitmaker landed a contract modelling underwear for the brand after posting a picture of himself on Instagram of himself in his boxer shorts last March.
He added to Us Weekly magazine: "Modelling for Calvin Klein was always my dream. And it got their attention."
The singer worked out five times a week with his personal trainer to prepare for the photoshoot and even lifted weights during it, and he hopes Mark is a fan of his work.
He said: "I hope he reacts positively to my ads."
Meanwhile, the Canadian star, who is rumoured to be dating Hailey Baldwin following his split from long-term girlfriend Selena Gomez last year, insists he is enjoying being single.
He said: "Single life is great. It's given me time to focus on myself."

Michael Keaton thinks his younger self was "crazy" to move to Hollywood.
The 'Birdman' star - who worked as a cameraman at Pittsburgh television station WQED before landing minor roles and deciding to relocate to California - is proud of himself for finding the courage to make the move with less than $300 to his name and nowhere to live.
When asked how he found the courage to move to Hollywood, he said: "No f**king idea. When I look back at it now ... first of all, I pat myself on the back for doing it. But the other part of me is like, 'What was he thinking? He's so crazy.' I can't remember the exact amount of money I had, but I know it was under $300 that I'd saved. Almost all of it was gone once I bought an airline ticket."
The 63-year-old actor had originally planned to move to New York before he was advised to try his luck on the west coast as there were more acting opportunities.
He explained: "One guy who was already making a living as a comedy writer - I was moving to New York - and he said to me, 'You should come and try LA out. It's wide open.' "
Michael - who was recently nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and Golden Globe for his role in 'Birdman' - had a rocky start to his career and admitted to trying out "a zillion jobs" after dropping out of college before making a name for himself in movies.
He told Prestige Hong Kong magazine: "I dropped out to make money, then went back and then dropped out to make money again because I couldn't afford my tuition. I dropped out to get a job. I was working for a survey crew. Work on the roads with road crews. I had a zillion jobs. I shovelled asphalt off the back of a truck, drove a cab. I did a ton of stuff. My brother gave me a little part-time job selling building materials on construction sites, so I did that."
Michael Keaton was speaking to Joe Yogerst at Prestige Hong Kong magazine.

Felicity Jones "ran around her hotel room screaming" when she found out she was up for a Leading Actress BAFTA.
The 31-year-old star discovered she had been nominated for the prestigious award for her portrayal of Stephen Hawking's first wife, Jane Wilde Hawking, in 'The Theory of Everything' at midnight as she is currently in Los Angeles ahead of the Golden Globes on Sunday (11.01.15), and she was amazed by the news.
She is quoted by the BBC as saying: "I've been running round my hotel room screaming.
"It's midnight here. We're just about to go to bed, but we've all been emailing each other and exclaiming with excitement.
"I'm looking forward to celebrating with a glass of champagne and Skyping my family."
The brunette beauty faces stiff competition from Gone Girl's Rosamund Pike, Reese Witherspoon ('Wild'), Julianne Moore ('Still Alice') and Amy Adams ('Big Eyes'), but she is just happy to have got a nod in such a strong category.
She added: "I feel very lucky to be in such remarkable company. I've watched those performances and I feel like they're very exciting for women in film because they are all revolutionary performances."
Felicity's co-star Eddie Redmayne, who plays Stephen Hawking in the movie, is up for the Leading Actor prize, and he paid tribute to the film's director James Marsh for the success of the movie, which received 10 nominations.
He said: "James Marsh our director got such an amazing group of people. It was a passion project for everyone so the fact it has been nominated for so many things is a testament to him."
Eddie's competition in the category includes Benedict Cumberbatch for his main role in 'The Imitation Game', but he insists there is no rivalry between the pair.
The 33-year-old star said: "He's an old friend. We've known each other for about 10 years now.
"He is the most magnificent actor. I've seen 'Imitation Game' and he is brilliant in it."
Ralph Fiennes - who won his first BAFTA in 1994 - is also up for the prize for his portrayal of concierge Monsieur Gustave H in 'The Grand Budapest Hotel', which received the most nominations with 11, and, like Felicity, he is also looking forward to toasting the nod with some fizz.
He said in a statement: "I'm delighted of course. Dom Perignon all around for guests and staff at The Grand Budapest Hotel. And a free sample of Eau de Panache too, darling."
Mark Ruffalo received a nod in the Supporting Actor category for 'Foxcatcher', along with his co-star Steve Carell, Edward Norton ('Birdman'), Ethan Hawke ('Boyhood') and J.K. Simmons ('Whiplash'), and he is "honoured" to have been recognised.
He wrote on Twitter: "Thank you @BAFTA for the wonderful distinction of a nomination for @FoxcatcherUK I am honored. (sic)"
Stephen Fry and Sam Claflin announced the EE British Academy Film Awards nominations this morning (09.01.15), and the TV host will also present the ceremony on February 8 at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden.
The event will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One and BBC One HD, preceded by a red carpet show on BBC Three.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler haven't written their Golden Globes script yet ahead of Sunday's (11.01.15) ceremony.
The former '30 Rock' star admits she and the 'Parks and Recreation' actress need to stop procrastinating and start planning what to say when they host the star-studded event in Beverly Hills for the third year running on the weekend, but she also admitted it will be their final time presenting the awards show.
She said: "We haven't written the show yet so we have to hurry up and get that done.
"This is for sure our last time. We did a three-year deal."
The pair are known for embarrassing stars in the audience with their hilarious quips, but Tina joked she wants to shock the crowd on Sunday in a different way - by daring to bare her derriere.
When asked about her clothing choice for the upcoming ceremony, she said: "Bottomless. I want to do it bottomless."
Despite the pair's lack of preparation ahead of the event, Tina insists she is not nervous at all about hosting it again because she and Amy make a great team.
Speaking to Us Weekly magazine, she added: "I'm ready, I'm bringing it. Amy and I get along very well in that way.
"[We're] easygoing and we are supportive of, 'What have you got? Okay, great. I'll do this then.' We work very well together in that way."

Priscilla Presley celebrated what would have been Elvis' 80th birthday with an eight-tier cake.
The 69-year-old actress - who was married to the 'Jailhouse Rock' hitmaker for six years until their divorce in 1973 - held a gathering at his Memphis estate, Graceland, yesterday (08.01.15) to mark what would have been his birthday if he had not passed away at the age of 42 in 1977.
The business magnate was joined by the couple's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, as well as Lisa's four children - Riley Keough, 25, Benjamin Keough, 22, and six-year-old twins Harper and Finley - with hundreds of fans also turning up to commemorate the musician's life.
Speaking to the crowd, Priscilla said: "My gosh, I'm in total shock. [Elvis] would have been amazed to see so many of you here.
"There's really nowhere else we'd rather be."
To mark the occasion, fans sang 'Happy Birthday' and were able to sample an eight-tier, gold-trimmed cake which was decorated with several images of Elvis' silhouette.
Aside from the Tennessee memorial, 'Total Recall' actress Jessica Biel, 32, treated her husband Justin Timberlake to a delicious breakfast in honour of the late star.
Sharing a snap online of pancakes made with peanut butter and bananas - which are said to have been two of the legend's favourite treats - the 'Mirrors' hitmaker praised his lover for celebrating the rocker's life with the tasty meal.
He wrote: "In honor of the KING's Bday, Wifey made your boy some PB and Banana Pancakes(with a little Blueberry for The Prez... Lol)!!! #PancakesForever (sic)."

Amy Adams collects "carved wooden birds".
The 40-year-old actress loves "kitsch" things and has a special penchant for souvenir statues of her favourite feathered friends.
Discussing her role as American artist Margaret Keane - whose husband Walter Keane claimed credit for her work - in new biopic 'Big Eyes', she said: "It must have been so confusing and strange to have your work celebrated and torn down at the same time but also to get neither credit nor blame, to not be able to speak up for your work in any way. I know it was hurtful when people attacked the work. I know kitsch, by definition, isn't considered art, but I have a lot of things in my life that would be called kitsch and I love them all.
"I have lots of carved wooden birds that you get at souvenir shops, stuff like that."
Amy got to meet with Margaret on several occasions to research her role and was thrilled when the artist gave her one of her paintings - famous for her use of over-sized, doe eyes on her subjects - to keep.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, she revealed: "Margaret gifted me one of her paintings, which was just beyond generous."
Amy's love of kitsch extends to her entertainment choices, as she spent New Year's Eve (31.12.14) singing karaoke with her fiancée, artist Darren Le Gallo, and their four-year-old daughter Aviana.
Revealing how she saw in 2015, the 'American Hustle' star said: "I was at home with my family. We rented a karaoke machine. I'm kind of a music nerd. My favourite this time was something my daughter brought to it. She can be quite shy about performing but she sang Katy Perry's 'Roar'. That was fun to watch."

Nicki Minaj used to steal bread to eat when she was a waitress.
The 32-year-old rapper - who was once fired from her job as a waitress at Red Lobster after following and swearing at a customer who took her pen into a car park - has admitted she used to take advantage of her position in an eatery by taking food without paying for it to eat during her younger years.
Speaking in a trailer for her new MTV documentary 'My Time Again', which goes behind the scenes of the making of her latest album 'The Pinkprint', she is seen telling her dancers: "When I was a waitress we had to steal bread and eat that."
The 'Super Bass' hitmaker also admits she endured an "emotional rollercoaster" while recording her third studio album, and has struggled to come to terms with her fame since becoming successful.
She said: "I did not know that this album would entail an emotional roller coaster.
"No one could prepare for this business. Until you are in it, you really can't wrap your brain around it."
Despite struggling to deal with the pressures of fame, Nicki reveals towards the end of the trailer that she relished pushing herself to breaking point while recording an album.
She said: "Every human needs to push themselves to the point of breaking sometimes. If you never break, you never know how much pressure you can take."

Miley Cyrus has been burgled again.
The 22-year-old singer - who had her $102,000 Maserati Quattroporte and jewellery items stolen from her home in San Fernando Valley, California in May - has once again been targeted by thieves who are reported to have made off with a large amount of her and her brother's personal items as well as her bank card, on December 16.
Fortunately for the 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker, officers believe they have now caught the culprit and have charged Rusty Edward Sellner with felony first-degree residential burglary, receiving stolen property and grand theft, although he pled not guilty when the case went to court last Wednesday (09.01.15), reports gossip site TMZ
A man and woman in their 20s were also arrested on suspicion of burglary and grand theft auto following the theft of her luxury vehicle and jewellery last summer, while she was away performing the European leg of her 'Bangerz' tour.
It is the third time in two years that Miley's home has been targeted by thieves.
The blonde beauty was also left "extremely upset" when robbers entered her home in November 2013 on the weekend she turned 21, stealing "a lot of personal items".
