Sacha Baron Cohen’s father has died.
Millionaire businessman Gerald Baron Cohen, 83, passed away at his home in London on Tuesday (03.05.16) following a brief illness.
Gerald owned two upmarket menswear stores in Wales and a string of properties in Cardiff and London, according to WalesOnline.
Former workers paid tribute to the late businessman following his death, with Malcolm Cohen, who worked at Calders, his Cardiff menswear store, saying: "Gerald was a real gentleman who really looked after his staff.
"I worked for him for over 30 years and talked him often on the phone and when he visited the store.
‘He was over 80 but still loved to work. He was very proud of his family. It’s very sad news to hear he has died."
Another worker Joseph Lowe, 53, added: "It was a real shock to hear he had died. He seemed fit and well a few months ago. I can’t believe he is gone. His family must be devastated."
Sacha, 44, is married to Australian actress Isla Fisher, 40, and the couple have children Olive, Eluna and Montgomery together.
